    Found one...

So, apparently you make a hexagon, which doesn't lie flat, then fold to make the L-shape…make two, sew together.

OMG. I didn't want it to go viral 😭.

I feel a little bit sick now.

My new Easter postbox topper is up

It was blowing a hoolie when I installed it so hoping it lasts! I think the most challenging aspect is engineering something to last in all weathers for, say 4 weeks. Once again I installed it under cover of darkness - I am the village Yarnsy 🤣

What do you do with them after, 4 weeks outside in all weathers?

    Unravel, wash and reuse?

Well this is only my second attempt and I've reused the base (a crocheted rectangle of 63 treble stiches measuring 25 cm long).

The flowers I did for 'Spring' - some of the stalks have snapped - were only stirrers from Costa covered in wool. They will go in the bin. The flower heads (daffodils and tulips) I will keep for a potential future project.

I'm thinking of something for May. Maybe a maypole with dancers (have found a pattern online) or was thinking of the Green Man. However the post box is opposite the village church so that may not go down too well as it's pagan…. It's not a large area so I have to be mindful of size of project. All of this is using up my stash (hasn't even made a dent tbh).
