Talking of baskets...
I couldn't resist another couple of balls in Aldi this morning, but I have a plan for it😉
I'm going to make a 3 DK strands together basket...or attempt to.
I'm going to use the rose pink, plus cream and marl grey.
If I use a 4mm hook, it should be stiff enough... we'll see.

@Sea_Shell that sounds good. Like the sound of the colour combo too :)
With the summer holidays am not getting as much craft done (but having lots of fun with child) as so busy but have got this far with new blanket crochet for a present - when i look at the photo I get the full effect as working on it you don’t tend to see the full picture as you are physically too close to it :)

Pair of slipper booties made with the sparkly wool from Aldi.
Toasty...but a bit warm for today mind!!! 🥵🥵🥵
Basket is coming along, well, the base is done. Had to use 5mm hook, as it's quite thick for DK.

Just added a Wallace and Gromit crochet pattern book to my Amazon basket.

Hi all, have been away from the forum for a while but back now with a vengeance. Amazed at all the makes that people have been posting. Crochet and knitting are things I wish I could do but every time I try, I just can't get my head around it. Cross stitch is definitely more my speed!
I managed to finish a couple of big projects and one smaller project in last couple of months:
- Dragon cross stitch for my sister in law as a housewarming gift - first time stitching on 18 count and swore I'd never do it again…
- DMC Christmas Dinner, part 2 of the Christmas meal series, just have deserts to do now…
- Mini tardis as a birthday present for a friend who is Dr Who mad.
Have I taken pictures of any of these? No, must try harder!
And have just started my big Christmas make which is a landscape of Norway for my parents as part of their Christmas gift as they've fallen in love with the country and are planning on their fourth cruise there early next year. And guess what, it's on 18 count and involves so much frogging so I've concluded I must be mad! Will endeavour to post some WIP pics soon.
