Wow @beanielou that looks scrumptious - unlike the boring beef salad lol! Looks like iceberg too which has to be the most boring salad leaf of them all!

New front door and frame was finished by 1pm. It looks fab and makes the hallway so much lighter as we now have two side panels in satin glass. The smell of sealant though is over-powering :( Our car will be ready to pick up from 5pm near Sevenoaks, DS2 is off to work in an hour and won't be around to collect DD who is coming home from work by train. Such a logistical nightmare as even if she walked home she doesn't have a key for the new door! Have told her to start walking and fingers crossed DH or I will meet her halfway - traffic dependant.

I have done very few steps today due to being housebound with the door work and no car. We didn't go to the cafe in the end as ran out of time. DS2 is on a Teams interview now for a job, so wanted to prepare for it. Will need to make up for it tomorrow.

Food-wise - all as stated earlier, I do need eggs though as DS2 used the final 3 for lunch today.

I've had haggis in a stack like that in an Edinburgh restaurant @beanielou . Haggis is just like mince really @bubbs but it can be a bit dry so sometimes people pour a tot of whisky over the top. 😋

What a boring meal @bubbs, just a plate of iceberg. Not like your salads.

Hope you got your door sorted @Coxy11. It's too cold to be messing about. Glad you enjoyed your Italian meal.

What style of top are you making @joedenise? 🤔

I do Scottish dancing @Longwalker, have done on and off since I was a child. My DH does a bit of dad dancing at parties but that's all. When I go dancing, I'm always driving myself so an alcohol free night which is a bonus on top of the Body Magic 👍

WI this morning and 2 lbs gain. ☹️ Not surprised as meals out were bound to catch up with me at some point.

Just back from lunch and quite SW friendly. I had a chicken, bacon and avocado salad. Any swips would have been in oil. Breakfast was a fry up. No plans to cook this evening (DH had 3 courses at lunch) so will snack on plan if hungry. I've got a full week clear now so will hope for a loss next week. 🤞

I'm making a short sleeved button front top in a very lightweight cotton lawn fabric. The buttons are tiny and fasten with loops! I'm going to use little pearl buttons which are in the button box I got from my mum (I think there are enough of them as I need 6. Will put up a picture when I finish it if it looks OK (and if I can work out how to do it!)

I've never had haggis either @bubbs. Never really fancied it either.

Shame about the gain @maman but as you say to be expected that your meals out would catch up eventually. You lunch sounds nice today. The best chicken and bacon salad I've ever had was in Luxembourg City - it was enormous - makes @bubbs salads look tiny! Trouble was it came with croutons which were absolutely brilliant but of course not SW friendly but no matter I was on holiday!

Your meal at the Italian sounded lovely @Coxy11. Which restaurant was it?

That top sounds really lovely @joedenise but very fiddly with the loops on the buttons but great that you can use vintage buttons. I've got my mum's button box too. It's actually an old toffee tin, happy memories. 😊

I do hope you get to stay for a while at WI tomorrow @bubbs. It's rare to get called into the doctor on time so you should be OK. 🤞the scales are kind to you.

@maman There were fantastic Scottish dancers last night.
@bubbs No need to have whiskey with the haggis!
