@Coxy11 - I know it sounds awful being told you'll never wear anything wearable it actually spurred me on to prove her wrong!

@Longwalker - no reason why you can't do a cruise in your 70s or even 80s - in fact on a lot of cruises the average age is about 75!

Afternoon all, a lot of posts to catch up on!

@beanielou good to see you’re out and about and you enjoyed the Burns supper.
@Longwalker won’t be as bad as you think 🤞for weigh in and to you too @bubbs
Well done on the loss @joedenise you’re chipping away nicely before your next holiday 😁
Ouch to the car cost @Coxy11 but as you say good it wasn’t more!

Shopping trip with the parents was uneventful (thankfully 🤣). While in Aldi I picked up a supply of birthday and occasion cards, at 69p or thereabouts thought they were good value.

I’ve had a good week on plan but we’ll see what the scales say tomorrow.

    Today’s food:

Breakfast - toast and jam HEB and 4 syns

Lunch - orzo salad (counting 3 syns for tomatoes in oil, patted excess of though), apple

Dinner - homemade fish cakes, roasted tomatoes, onions, broccoli and red pepper

Well done on your loss @bubbs but I'm fuming on your behalf re: the GP appointment…or lack of! The system is so broken it's just terrible. Glad you ONLY (here it is again!) have to wait until Monday and that it's something that can keep!

Thank you for the cous cous syns value @Longwalker x

I've been really bored today - did all the ironing, a bit of month end finance stuff and read my book for about 1.5 hours! Really need to get some more work hours to keep me occupied. Off to the party soon.

    Morning!

That pizza looks lush @bubbs and thanks for the mozzarella info - sounds loads!

We had a late night - the party was so funny. I went as Inch High Private Eye and DH as the Singing Detective. I was applying sudocream to his face in the taxi to the venue. Good job he’s up for a laugh and bet his skin feels lovely this morning 🤣 We walked from Whitehall to Victoria afterwards which helped my lack of steps and made up for the 3 glasses of Prosecco and assorted beige food eaten. Back on it today.

    Food today:

    B - spinach omelette, satsuma - P, S

    L - JP, tuna, mayo, pickled cabbage/gherkins/onions, apple - 3, P, S

D - still to be christened as depends who is here.

    HEA - milk

    HEB - 20 almonds

Syns - skinny bar plus 3 so at least 6

Morning all, the weather is a bit better this morning so I have taken a chance and done a load of washing and put it out on the line. The radar picture on the TV weather last night looked like the rain was going to bypass us so hopefully that's right. Just wish there was a bit of a breeze as the washing is just hanging there. Still with a bit of luck it will be a bit drier when I get it in than it went out and will need less time in the dryer to finish off!

Did a bit more sewing yesterday but the top I'm making is slow going as having to follow the directions rather than just doing it instinctively the way I usually sew as it's a bit more complicated than the usual t-shirt style type tops I make!

Thanks for the mozzarella info @bubbs, that's a reasonable amount of cheese to use.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up with bacon - P; S; F

    L - burger, onions, pickles, soft pitta - HEB; S; 0.5

    D - pasta, savoury mince - P; S; F

    HEA - milk

    HEB - soft pitta

    Syns - 2 0% G&Ts 0.5; burger 0.5; shortbread finger 4.5

    Have a good day everyone.
