The risotto sounds tasty. I still have Christmas sprouts too...
Glad you are having a break from work, although your breaks are always quite busy!
Nice you found your ring

I lost my proper wedding ring years ago. I think it must have fallen off one time when I was changing little jwil's nappy 💩😬 We bought a ring which commemorates the place we got married, so I now use that as my wedding ring.
It was just some Thomas the Tank engine stuff, it's been on there forever. I don't think there's any new trends about it!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -
I haven't either, it was lovely!
Thank you 😊 I find it much easier to do stuff when there's no one else home!

I swear I am jinxed! Every time I look forward to some time to myself something happens. Got up this morning to find our internet not working. Tried to restart it a few times, supplier suggests no problems in the area, so managed to book an appointment with an engineer today. They came out, can't figure out what it is, so they need to refer it to openreach, who will come on Thursday afternoon.
None of which is a huge issue, as we can still access the internet via wifi hotspots, but it's the having to wait around at home. I don't like starting anything major when I'm expecting people as well, so I just waste time hovering around. 🙄 At least I'm not working, that would have been a pain!
Anyway it meant the hallway got a good cleaning this morning to clear the dust clouds behind the table that the router is on. I decluttered and tidied the table itself too so it's emptier and neater now! I tackled a couple of stains on the rug in the front room, but they probably need another go. Little miss got a bit enthusiastic with her artwork last week while she was off.
There is flooding everywhere down here. So whilst I'm moaning that I'm stuck in the house waiting for people, I probably couldn't go anywhere anyway! I think every main road out of town was closed this morning due to flooding, and even the motorway was as well. DH had to go over the hills to try and get to work and only just made it. He's clearly more dedicated than I am as I wouldn't have bothered 😆 The kids were not impressed that their schools remained open whilst many others closed 😆
I'm having one of those 'can't stop eating' days today. Not good!

Creeping along til payday!
Internet has come back today thankfully, I haven't cancelled tomorrow's appointment yet, I'll wait til the morning (Engineer advised me not to cancel too early if it came back). But it's a lovely thought that I won't have to hang around all afternoon tomorrow.
Another busy day today, it's amazing how much I can achieve when work doesn't get in the way. I've got in a nice lot of steps by walking the school runs both times this week.
I've been in little miss's room today. We spotted the recall on the hobbycraft craft boxes😡 - she had one for Christmas We gathered up the remainder of the sand last night, but as she does her crafting in her room, which is also a tip, I decided to give it a good going over today. I've washed all her bedding, clothing and soft toys, and given the surfaces a wipe down. Hoovered through, emptied and cleaned all the filters. I'll take the hoover apart tomorrow and give it a clean (been meaning to do that anyway). A big bag of rubbish and recycling removed. I found some other sand and have decided to bin the lot just in case. A bit like shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted but oh well.
