I’m trying to clear out the conservatory by selling books but to do that I need space, so I need to do a charity shop run … Rang the local hospice shop and yes, they will take donations on Friday after work, but they won’t take books, dvds or cds, any Christmas stuff etc etc … They will also check my donations when I take them in …. 🙄
Oh well. I will pack up what I can this evening and load it in the car tomorrow night and see what I’m left with. I may just give up and take it to the tip on Sunday!

I got dressed today but then got annoyed by both the bra and the jumper I was wearing so took them off this afternoon and put them in the appropriate donation bag. There is no need for me to hang on to things that don't fit well and don't look good

I consumed the hospital OAT and spoke to "my" consultant's secretary. She said she will look in to it. I expect a letter but I suppose he might call (he did once). I did stress to her that I wasn't pressuring for an appointment - just some feedback that showed he had seen and considered the results, and had decided what next. I do feel a letter about the appointment system needs to be sent so they learn from it. Hurumph, another OAT

Ah well done @Suffolk_lass that was a ghastly OAT 🥂 Letter is a good idea, doesn't need to be a big OAT, if your GP has a suggestions box you could pop a quick note in there saying what happened and could they please make sure relevant eyes see it. You've already written most of it in your previous post!

Fabulous work @Rhyddid2026 this is exactly what we should all be doing. I did bravely declutter a shirt I love into the vinted pile as it just doesn't fit right anymore, and now I feel guilty as it holds memories. Repeat to self PIP: 'Inanimate objects don't mind, inanimate objects don't mind'

Thank you @KajiKita. I may well continue fighting the good fight by having some chocolate tonight * salutes *

Inspired by @Sun_Addict and @EssexHebridean I am determined to use up some random cupboard contents for dinner tomorrow while Mr PIP is out so if its very odd at least only one of us suffers 😁 Having said that, I have to be up horribly early for work tomorrow, so if I'm too knackered then I'm determined to do it this weekend (and both of us can suffer 😂)

My major one this week is having to speak to the surgery. I think the hospital has sent both the letters to me & not one to the doctors. The letters seem to have two pages & they fold them differently depending on who they are going to. Must do tomorrow but they can wait for the actual letter until Monday if they want it even though my appt is Sunday.

@badmemory I think I've previously had letters that were meant to be passed by me to the GPs, I'm all for the NHS saving on unnecessary costs but the price of stamps (though admittedly eye watering 😁) does not seem like the place to start for funding more doctors, nurses, and equipment. Hope the speaking and the appt go well

I don't see why they're printing letters to send to the GP. Mine arrive electronically on the NHS app, and get to my GP that way.
