I've had my eye on that for a while @beanielou! I really really want one, but last time I checked it was still £200 (reduced from 300). It might have to be a reward for future me who's got her debts down by 50% or something, or a decent PB win 😃

Yaaas Winter Wonders, we have made it through January and not just survived but actually did some stuff 🥂

February is a blessedly short month after the one hundred days of January but it is still winter, so what cosily productive things to people have their eye on for the next four weeks?

I am frankly sick of build admin stuff but this seems to be the phase where tons of things need to be researched and ordered.

Our builder appears to have in mind that he'd be finished by the end of Feb which is very unlikely to happen, so my main aim will be to not take other people's stress unto me. We never said we'd finish or he had to finish by end of Feb so everyone else can stress themselves, I am not absorbing it

I will be (hopefully) building a kitchenette and thereby getting actual counter space and not having food in bags on the floor 🤦‍♂️ oh and a fridge if I can ever pick one

I want to get a plan together for the garage conversion, heat pump, downstairs cloakroom, utility room and kitchen. And not think about the cost, disruption, or dust.

Checked on Trev and he was looking at me, wide awake, so dealing with that unexpected event had to be priority. He was warmed up and given a bath. No slow start for Trev, he woke up and chose violence! Indoor home was emptied, hoovered, cleaned, repaired. Top soil ordered for quick delivery. Heat and light and timers checked and adjusted.

So no more wood was brought into the conservatory, no dog walk yet gonna have to go later tonight, coops were cleaned though. Stairs not wiped over but I am now waiting in for big shop delivery. I'm exhausted, I'm filthy and I can't wait for a hot shower. Now I don't have a tortoise hibernating in my downstairs bathroom I can put the radiator on in there! Luxury!!

I'm not checking in much, but this thread is keeping me motivated. I managed to get two items onto book of face, offered for free. Not sure they will go, so may need to go to the recycling centre - will maybe offer on ebay first as I just hate to throw things in the dumpster. I find that Olio is good too and I have a few bits to offer up on there.

I finally bought myself a jumper shaver to get rid of the pills on a couple of cardi's. I never even knew these worked until I joined you all. I had enough to cash in Sh0ppix to redeem a £10 Am@zon voucher, and I've ordered a rechargeable one with good reviews - so was essentially free. Can't wait to have a go.

@Rhyddid2026 I washed my shark sponge filter the other day and couldn't believe how much better it worked after (think I need to do it more regularly). I do like my corded shark and it has an extra long lead on so I can do most of the house from one plug. But I keep it downstairs and would like a small one to keep in the upstairs landing cupboard to do the bathrooms etc. probably cordless - will need to get selling stuff before I spend out though.

That's good to hear @SandyShores I think maybe the filter was reducing the suction which meant the dog hair wasn't being pulled all the way and was clogging at various points. It's all had a scrub and I'll put it back together and give it a test at lunchtime 🤞🏻 I have Hetty for the big jobs but it's good to have something lighter and cordless for when I just need to do something quick or taking it upstairs.

I'm excited for you, about your jumper shaver. Let us know how it is.

I have another busy week. I have three classes, a book group, a soundbath, a meetup and I'm going to go to the cinema with my friend. I'm batch cooking some veg and bean soup for lunch today and for a few days this week. One class was cancelled for today so I will probably just finish my current book.

OAT - I need to clean the bathroom and really scrub the shower today.
