I'm going opposite direction @badmemory, this build is so stressful I want as little chucking-on to do afterwards as possible!https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase/p1

I do see your point - especially as over 30 years on all my walls are still white!2

PIP - we used the Lick paint from bee n queue and it's good. There are some very nice colours available.I eagerly await a quip from you about the brand name 🙃2

We buy a litre of a slightly stronger colour than we want and stir it into a big pot of white (with 1.5L removed) to take the colour down in a more inexpensive way - you just need to measure what you take out so you can repeat it, if you run outSave £12k in 2025 #2 I saved £14,660.97 of £6000 or 244.35% of my target. The 2026 Save £12k in 2026 thread is here
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I finished the year at £2880.99/£3000 or 96.03% of my annual spend so I am sticking with a £3000 annual budget for 2026

Moi?! @Blackcats 😁
Thanks for the recommendation, Dunelm paint appears to be cheaper and I've chosen the colours for upstairs so can't be bothered to look again unless someone says to definitely not buy from there!
Will bear in mind for downstairs if Dunelm paint looks rubbish though
Thanks for the tip @Suffolk_lass, happily the builders are painting it so if it looks appalling I can resent them instead of admitting fault 😂
Have done three listings
Finished the start of the month flat clean. I am aware it's the 16th.

I've mostly worked and napped all week so now I have a very long to-do list for the weekend. If I get half done I'll be happy. Prescription collected, dog food purchased. Bed stripped and put on a wash, I'm very excited to put the new brushed cotton sheet on. Going to clean the chicken coop while it's dry, and listen to a new to me podcast while I do it.Debts 04/01/25 02/02/26

I need to book a cleaner as the inside of the windows look even worse in comparison. The OAT for today was getting the windows and gutters done. They hadn't been done for months as we had the house rendered and there wasn't much point in cleaning them before that. I wasn't even dressed as I forgot so I'm just running the bath now.
I have to start my book group book today. It really doesn't look at all interesting!

I can hardly believe I (well I should say we really) have finally done it. I have finally managed to get on the NHS app. Strictly supervised by DS & only losing my temper 3 times, finally got an acceptable video, amid 2 internet outages. Not only that we also sorted our postal votes. The NHS thing was quite different from the last time I tried & I got access immediately. I have to say it isn't as good as I had hoped though, unless more gets updated.6

Finished some scented room spray that I somehow own, and a pen that I've got as much extra out of that I can tolerate with the ink stopping every word
