Mr PIP tried to be productive in the glow of us getting our first mortgage instalment by ordering the paint we'd chosen. Only half of it available 😐
So my fun Friday job tomorrow is trying to either convince myself that other tones on the dunelm website are fine (they're not) or look at the other one million billion colours available elsewhere that obviously aren't called the same colour or have the same pictures so there's no way of actually knowing 😭😭https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase/p1

I've just finished writing my slides for my first ever uni lecture tomorrow.
I really hope they're a chatty bunch (I've been warned they may need time to warm up), as I've only written 15 slides for 2 hours. I figure people will appreciate an early finish on a Friday anyway.Debts 04/01/25 02/02/26

That is why, having chosen an unavailable colour, we do go to a "mix your shade here" service - we were fortunate enough to have a shaggy D-dog decorating centre near us in our last town location - I have to say they were much better than the DIY OB version but software has moved on. If you struggle with sharing an opinion or making a decision, this is much more pain free.PennysIntoPounds said:Mr PIP tried to be productive in the glow of us getting our first mortgage instalment by ordering the paint we'd chosen. Over here I made marmalade before the Seville oranges went over! Hooray! I also shuffled round some containers in the larder and managed to remove the (now empty, decanted) crate that had been in there since New YearSave £12k in 2025 #2 I saved £14,660.97 of £6000 or 244.35% of my target. The 2026 Save £12k in 2026 thread is here
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I finished the year at £2880.99/£3000 or 96.03% of my annual spend so I am sticking with a £3000 annual budget for 2026

The book is called On The Calculation of Volume. It is about a woman who repeats the same day over and over, like the film Groundhog day, except that film was entertaining and funny and this book is totally boring! Haha, I just looked on Reddit and a lot of people agree with me. It is so tedious that I might not read it all.
My physio had to cancel today, but that was lucky as I overslept anyway. I have a class later. My OATS are to pick up some medication for my dog and the form for the blood test. I had better go and have a shower and get ready.3 -
@Wednesday2000, I regularly give myself permission not to finish books I’m not enjoying … 😉Cat food wrangled and clarified. Stocks not needed immediately removed to storage in cellar. Two huge cardboard boxes beaten into submission and jammed tidily into recycling wheels bin! 💪👏😊
Scraps bin emptied and parsley harvested for side salad this evening 😊🌿Walk had and fresh air imbibed - happy sigh …
Pootling, dead growth cutting back and tap rooted weed evicting in garden for an hour - fabulous 😊
