It has been a randomly hectic day so today's decluttering is the very last of the bottle of Baileys as a night cap 🥂

Three vinted listings, and Mr PIP took the bag that's been loitering in the hallway to the charity shop.

The next OAT is to take a pair of sunglasses to the opticians to get fixed

I had a massage. That's my OAT. It was delightful. Well, no, it was quite painful, but all for the greater good.

Massages and similar are definitely "marmite" things aren't they - some people swear by them, and yet for others it's their worst nightmare!  Glad yours was productive though Rhy!

Yoga got done last night, lots of core related stuff so NOT my favourite thing, but as above for the greater good!
Foot and hand cream used before bed.

Step one to tackling this year's biggest OAT has been taken - I have popped an email across to a local building firm in relation to getting someone to come and quote for the replacement of our front steps. I've been months doing the "I must get in contact with..." thing, but I will put it off no longer!

Oh well done @EssexHebridean, getting quotes always feels so daunting but is literally just a case of sending an email! Proper OAT work that is 😁

Took glasses to opticians but person who can fix them won't be there until next week. At least I got some steps!

Thanks PiP - I've heard back from them this morning asking for more information so have already replied to that too!

You have reminded me that I need to take my glasses in too as one of the nose pads has gone a bit manky - that needs a town centre wander at some stage, if I do it on a Friday then chances are they will do it while I wait which would be useful as it is of course my everyday glasses!

Have finally changed the water filter cartridge (took about 5 minutes) having ordered them before Christmas and had them lying around for weeks.

Also set the DW on a cleaning cycle. It's had a tantrum halfway through, but the descaling/cleaning has worked. I'm hoping the fault clears as it has in the past. Otherwise I need to get an appliance engineer out - I've been putting it off as the kitchen is due to be replaced (hopefully this year) and I won't be putting an integrated one in. I also have a freestanding DW in the garage that could replace it, but would need the kickboard altering. So probably worth getting it checked out and either fixed, or get the engineer to swap them over and take a saw to the kickboard myself. I mean, I could take the DW out myself, drain it manually and check all the hoses and seals BUT it's a PITA to get out as the floor doesn't go under it so there's a lip AND there's an island in the way so you can't open the door and do a test run before you put it back in. So getting another 6 months or so out of it would be preferable.

New trellis is up in the garden, and plan is in place for a post and wire pergola round the patio - so I need to take out the obelisks which will be reused elsewhere. In fact, I might go and do that now...

My husband sent back his PIP form yesterday which was a definite OAT.

I got a reminder to have my thyroid test done so I will pick up the form tomorrow as I have go out for physio tomorrow and then a class.

I should try to read some more of this deathly dull book group book today. :D
