Toscos have just made me really cross! I booked next week’s delivery and then realised that I will need more G0ld bl3nd coffee for Mr KK. Went back into the app, not into my booked delivery and found a large paper pouch at pretty good price with club card discount. Went back into my booked delivery for next week and the offer is no longer available to me!!! WTA …. 🤬
That made me so angry and feeling manipulated, I went and had a rummage and found some on bay of e for less than Toscos’ original offer. I won’t be buying that product from them again! 🙄 The bay of e version comes in 5 separate pouches, but that won’t bother Mr KK as he decants whatever I buy into an old jar that has a waisted shape which he finds easier and safer to use.

Done all my financial updates and paid off my monthly CC balance.
Savings have, not unexpectedly after holiday season, work on car etc, taken a bit of a hit. I am £56 short of the six months+ I like to have in my emergency fund …
Started a new savings category for our trip to Italy at some point 😊
Added in gym subs for visibility but have reduced my monthly pocket money budget accordingly.
Also added in the annual garden society subs, but at £1 pcm that’s not that significant 😉
Added in the £50 pcm for the investing thing I am doing.
Updated my savings tracker so I can see what to aim for on the challenge next year 😊OPs across the month: £303.64
Est. Interest saved across remaining life of mortgage: £174.15Updated my signature for total OPs and estd. interest saved. OPs are nearly £20K and interest saved is comfortably above £10K now 🎊🎉🤩

late to the party but wanted to say I love the wrist warmers. and I do believe I could see your legs too!!! They look fine to me. But then again I've got too many scars on mine which has made me self conscious about wearing a dress or shorts. But I'm now in the "when I grow old I will wear purple" stage so have decided that if my messy legs offend anyone that's their problem, not mine.

You know how when you 'see' something about a person, you can't unsee it … <sigh>
WARNING: Long Post.
I have a bit of a WWYD scenario and would appreciate thoughts and input from you if you wouldn't mind.
There is a lady living in the village who was the reason I became a parish councillor. Initially we rubbed along fairly well. I was aware that her politics were diametrically opposite to mine, but we didn't discuss it too much so it wasn't too much of an issue and we could 'discuss' things. Let's call her PC neighbour.
Over time, as she became more relaxed with me, she started to show more of her true views and feelings. I found her to be painfully, brutally, judgemental and harsh about others. When I gently asked her if, as an active member of a number of church / chapel communities, that was the right thing to say or think, she laughed harshly and told me that she never said she 'was a good Christian!'. That left me a bit wary as I dislike that kind of hypocrisy and I see no reason why she wouldn't turn that level of judgement on me, if at some time in the future I was to struggle.
She is very much of the need to be 'seen to do her duty', so she does things because she thinks she should, it is her duty and I suspect because she thinks it makes her look good.
Back in Covid, another neighbour moved in with her husband. Let's call her the spaniel neighbour. The spaniel neighbour and husband had been through a truly horrendous time where they had been exploited and literally lost everything, ending up sleeping on the living room floor of family. This move was their new start. PC neighbour befriended spaniel neighbour and they spent a lot of time together over the next 2 years or so due to the isolation created by Covid. Eventually, PC neighbour lost patience with spaniel neighbour and her and her husband's struggles (they were still processing what had happened to them) and started making lots of harsh judgements to spaniel neighbour's face. Spaniel neighbour got upset and eventually broke off contact. Spaniel neighbour has always contributed a lot to the events of various kinds at the chapel. PC neighbour started to turn up and glare at her, or try to undermine her in front of others. PC neighbour also seems to have turned the Minister against the Spaniel neighbour by saying who knows what and Minister now cuts both Spaniel neighbour and myself (I think because I am obviously friends with spaniel neighbour, who is a sweet, kind if somewhat emotional person. I couldn't care less about being 'cut' by the minister! 😂). I have seen some of this behaviour by PC neighbour in person when attending events. Personally I would cut my losses and go somewhere else and avoid PC neighbour, but spaniel neighbour feels it's unfair, SHE hasn't done anything wrong, and doesn't deserve to be 'pushed out'.
Spaniel neighbour and I went to the chapel fete yesterday. I had already decided I didn't want to go as I don't feel welcomed by that community and especially after the arrogant way they dealt with the band practice noise issue. (This does still bug me and probably always will.) But Spaniel neighbour said she wanted to go in order 'not to be beaten' and to ' hold my head up'. So, I went along to support her.
The fete was much as ever … People behaved towards me much as ever …
PC neighbour saw me alone inside the chapel school room as she was serving teas. I was polite and vaguely friendly and we chatted briefly.
Since then I got a WhatsApp this morning from PC neighbour saying she was sorry that she hadn't had chance to talk to me much and would I like to go round for coffee some time.I don't want a friendship with PC neighbour as I don't feel safe with her. But how strongly do I respond?
Do I:
- Go nuclear and tell her that I see her behaviour as unkind and cruel, that she has acknowledged as much in person to me that she does this and I therefore want nothing more to do with her?
- Ignore her message?
- Respond, say something anodyne but kicking the can down the road (I have done this once already, over Christmas)?
- Other??
FWIW, I have 3 'friends' here who all have the measure of PC neighbour and quite frankly I want nothing to do with the rest of the chapel population who live all around me, as I see them as performative hypocrites. It is quite remarkable how many people actually live here, but who YOU NEVER SEE …

hmmmm my first response is lots of swear words one after the other plus the word off and the word for female dog ending with you are a horrible person and I’d rather eat my own vomit than spend any time with you. My 2nd response is to thank them for the offer, but say currently you are snowed under with work, stuff linked to home and stuff already planned or words to that effect. I wouldn’t add anything else and hopefully they will get the message. Alternatively when I’ve wanted to delay meeting someone I’ll ask when they are free and then respond with sorry I’m busy then and not add anything more to my text. A difficult one especially as PC seems to have a lot of links in the community that you live in. good luck.

Absolutely kick the can down the road. I absolutely loathe people like that. I call them Sunday Christian’s and that’s exactly what they are. Go to church on Sundays and do their so called good work and behave very badly the rest of the time.
