Catching up. Love @Greenbee's answer, nothing to be gained and just more potential angst from saying what you really think imho.

Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Am shocked by the minister's behaviour. Perhaps s/he thinks that toxic behaviour will be turned on them if they don't subscribe. Unless you feel prepared to discuss (casually, I agree)with minister and refer upwards if necessary, I think the perpetually busy route is best, if that feels right to you. Love Humdinger xx

    Morning @KajiKita catching up again…

pleased that you enjoyed reading Vianne. Congratulations on the PB win. Saving over £10,000 interest due OP's is fantastic. I planted my sweet peas late this year, so a little envious that you are already picking yours 😊 I am not going to comment on the situation with the minister, but hope that it resolves itself soonest and with minimum impact on all concerned. Loving your gardening updates. Take care x

Would agree that if the only possible outcomes are bad, and it affects how others treat you, you've not got much to gain by being honest. Kicking the can politely down the road repeatedly until she gets the message seems the softest rejection possible!
