Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Thanks @beanielou
Honestly I don’t know. I would have thought so. But I suspect I will have to lose one of my team. I have been debating which one with myself all weekend ….

That must be a horrid discussion to be having with yourself. Hope the workplace is able to offer some support/shared decision making when the time comes.

@kajikita, that's tough. Is the loss of customers related to the stuff you're now putting right? You're plainly essential and there is still so much to do that no-one but you can, no? Love Humdinger xx

There will be a full objective scoring system, so everyone is assessed the same. We have a number of people who fall into 'disabled' so we have to be completely fair and fully document why decisions have been made.
I would hope our parent company would offer employees being made redundant, relevant support with job seeking or transitioning into retirement - there are at least 3 of the latter who might choose voluntary redundancy if it were offered. Or help us find the relevant support.Awwww …. thank you. I think most people here would say I am a pain in their posteriors, giving them a hard time about pretty much everything! 😉🤣
I think I'm safe - I have a huge job role (SHEQ), I have done a lot since I came here and I hear people saying positive things about me, so I don't feel under imminent threat. Also, every time I have been made redundant 3 x previously it has come as a bolt out of the blue rather than me being aware of the necessity, run up to the process etc. so perhaps it will be different this time. I suspect it is all fairly triggering though as I know what it's like to go through the process and the exhaustingness of looking for a new role …As an aside, I have taken the plunge and signed up for some remote counselling. Introductory session is on Friday. I know people here have mentioned it as something I might need before and now my coach is too. Financially it makes no sense to do this at the same time as physio, but I am not sure how healthy it would be to keep waiting. I will be getting monies from my mother in April - I shall use this as a means to 'refund' the costs of the physio and counselling - kind of ironical, think yee not …. ? 😉 If not now, then when, as they say. Time to get my head straight as well as my body … 😉

Oh forgot, a small but lovely positive. I sowed some seeds on Sunday and my Zinnias were through by this morning!! 😊💖
I have moved them from the heated mat to the conservatory for more sensible growing temperatures and better light levels.KK
