He seems to have brought back lots of little interesting things, such as the back of a head light shell, the innards without case of a speedo he’s been trying to restore for about a decade, a very special single spark plug (don’t ask me what makes it special - I don’t fully understand but he is delighted with it 😊) and one can he described as a ‘sleeper’ as the 1941 date was obscured but it comes with an attached funnel for topping up a vickers machine gun, which he is planning to sell on.

Thanks MB and hugs to you Beanie x

I felt absolutely shattered this morning and struggled to do much at all.

~ Two loads of washing wrangled and almost dried outside, now just airing.

~ Moved the nicotiana tray that is just starting to germinate from the potting shed to the conservatory 😊

~ Sorted out the folded foil scraps in the kitchen into the collection bag for taking to the recycling centre tomorrow.

~ Wrote, stamped and posted an Easter card for my parents. It was the last stamp in that folder so that got decluttered.

~ Weeded greenhouse, watered greenhouse, laid down trays on top of copper rings and moved all of the dahlia and begonia pots down there. I have fleeced them again tonight, as it is forecast to drop to 2C, but at least I don’t have to faff about with the clothes pegs to secure the fleece any more 😊

~ Finished a novel that was hard work to get into last week but I am glad I persisted. Strange but well written story about the mother of Caliban from Shakespeare’s The Tempest.

~ Was polite to the very smartly dressed JWs that came to the door and, after they had finished inviting me to some event or other, gave them back their leaflet saying that I would only put it in the recycling and if they took it back they could pass it on to someone else. The lady who was speaking to me thanked me for my honesty 😊

Mr KK reappeared eventually in mid to late afternoon and we got out into the garden. He had promised to do digging for me today and he kept his word. Between us we:
    - Lifted two huge catmint that were sprawling all over their respective roses, replanted viable sections and potted up a couple more for my friend.
    - Went through the whole of the sit spot border and dug out all of the aster that takes over every year and drowns everything. Retrieved one section and potted it up for my friend. I have warned her that it is a something of a triffid …
    - Mr KK then had at the horribly thorny rose, that is running all through the JM bed, with a mattock! There might have been a certain amount of grunting and huffing … Soooo glad to see that gone!
    - Went up and down one of the veg bed paths clearing huge clumps of grass that seal up the path every year. There is more to do, but with his mattocking he got a LOT further than I could have in the same time.
I really, really appreciate his help with this ❤️

Mr KK is now having some tinker time in the garage and I will make a start on fajitas prep shortly as it takes a while 😊

    Already on 12.6K steps 👏😊
