Forgot to mention - MOT came back to me last week with an advisory that the two rear tyres were on legal limit. Headed over to localish tyre place first thing this morning and got told that the fronts were pretty much on legal limit as well … sigh … Went for a full set of mid range tyres - £310.37 😳🙄
This car is becoming annoying… But as Mr KK said, they should last me a good long while and things like tyres are only going to get a LOT more expensive in the weeks and months to come …Mr KK has just given me the V5 for his van so I can apply for a new pass for the tip … Humph …

Didn’t get anywhere near applying for the tip pass! 😂🤷♀️😉 Oh well, it’s not urgent. 😊
Did have a physio session this morning. Things must be evolving - I was able to shake his hand at the end of the session without using my whole body for the first time and he’s given me a new rehab exercise 👏😊 I tried it when I got home and I literally can’t do it at all atm … 😳
Tried a new recipe for a chickpea salad for lunch. It was okay but not a huge win. Needs more flavour from somewhere … 🤔
Absolutely crashed this afternoon so took myself off to bed for a nana nap! 💤 We will see if I have ruined my sleep tonight … it was lush though 😊
Mr KK has set me ‘homework’ namely reading a book called ‘Hill 112’, which was a critical battle in WW2, where my grandpa was invalided out from and where we will be going to lay a wreath (for grandpa’s mates) in June. I am being determined but I can’t say I am ‘enjoying’ it …
Planted out the dicentra I found yesterday 😊 I have killed every other one I have tried (in three gardens I think … 🤔) but this one is in a shady spot so 🤞

Me too! 😂🤞 Tried it again this morning and my muscles have woken up to what I want them do but, oh my, they are sooo weak … 😳
Dining table cleared and cloth in the wash and on the line by 8.30. Come in pretty dry but rather rigid so it’s having a cool tumble to soften it down a bit.
Dealt with a rotting vegetable incident in the cellar and cleaned up after it … Ugh, but that’s been in the list for some time so I’m glad that’s done.Jacobean mansion was a bit meh … (actually I’m realising I have no interest in interiors at all! 😂) however the gardens were lovely and the cakes were to die for. It has very limited opening hours but I can see me going back on a Sunday just for the gardens 😊 oh, and maybe the cake … 😉
Tried to bank a helpful cheque from my mother. Not sure if it will go through the system properly as she didn’t write the numbers in … 🤷♀️ I wrote them in but it might get rejected by her bank. She told me to do it though, so hey …
Popped into the garden centre on the way out of town again as I needed new watering cans as two of mine have finally collapsed after c. 20 years of use, a teeny can with restricted flow for watering delicates such as nicotiana seedlings as the current option I have has a somewhat brutal flow and a new bird feeder - we switched to a spare at the beginning of the week that we have had sculling around for some time, but Mr KK lodged a protest as the birds’s spokesman as the base cage is a lot wider and so it’s difficult for them to get into the seed and he’s concerned that the woodpecker will never come down again … Set up said new feeder when I got home and the immediate response seems positive 😉
Tried to apply for a new pass for the tip but a) you can renew existing passes (who knew? 🤷♀️) and b) apparently we still have a pass left on our existing pass - we haven’t really but the guy managing the tip in his own last time we were there, was so hectic and we were in and out so efficiently, I think he didn’t log us on the system.
Unpacked the Farmer Garcy parcel of Martagon lillies that have been languishing in my conservatory for as long as I have had this dodgy shoulder 😢 They are all on the wonk and some are very drawn. I have cut the tops of the bags and have propped them up in the window of the potting shed to see if they can straighten up before I try to plant them.
The white begonia odorata I have potted up and whisked off to the greenhouse 😊My deck pots are looking pretty
And the sit spot border is looking good - the empty ground is where we hoicked out all the aster on the weekend:

Beautiful pots and garden x
I've been mortgage free once, so let's do it again!
Starting balance March 26 £191,274.532 -
Thanks @beanielou, @Jessy103, @PennysIntoPounds 😊
Went to a bead making craft session in the chapel today - interesting process, not something I would ever want to repeat but it was nice to get out and do something. 😊
Did a little pootle in the garden this afternoon:
~ Cut all the edges to a couple of the beds and picked up the cuttings - they look much better 😊
~ Made a start on clearing dead stuff from the edge of the big pond - managed about half of it - more to do but it does look better already 😊No win on the PBs … 🤷♀️😉
Talked to Mr KK about the muddle in the cellar and what we could do to it to make it more usable - not a lot without spending a fortune on tanking etc … sigh. We are going to have a go at it though, to clear some of the rubbish out of there, belonging to both of us.
Did rehab again today. No significant progress but no reversal either 😊KK

Booked a tip run for Saturday afternoon so I can get rid of the stuff to come out of the cellar - I’m committed now! 😉
Helped Mr KK log his new tablet into the WiFi - it’s always a two handed job as the password is on the bottom of a tower thing and is in minute font! 😳Ordered some zippable, should be stackable, clear bags for organising my yarn and raw wool in the crafting cupboard.
