Just catching up. Excellent result on the audit, everyone must be delighted with that, especially you!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Thanks @Watty1 and @debtfreewannabe321 😊
Intense day today. We had boss’s boss in (which we knew about) and his boss above him (which we didn’t know about!). BxBxB was new to the business so looking back, it feels very much like we were all being assessed, sussed out, interviewed by him today …. In one way or another we have all been shown as wanting in one aspect of our individual work or attitude today. It was exhausting.
In other news, the car was in again today for further diagnostics on the air con. £30 for the diagnostics but £1300 for the evaporator behind the dash! 😳🙄😢 I’m going to see if I can ring around tomorrow morning and get quotes for similar work elsewhere and then make a decision. The good news is that the only other big component (the compressor) appears to be in good condition.
Draining day all round tbh ….KK

That does sound draining but your day yesterday sounds fabulous so hopefully that's the trend for the rest of the week. Hopefully B3 got a sense of the pressures and worries at the coalface and that in the restructuring will be able to contribute positively

I have survived the week! Phew … No intense, grim meetings today. Just catching up with stuff, planning next week, drafting a concession format (the previous one dated from 1999! 😳😂😂) and a skills matrix for tracking who has what skills (4th or 5th company I have done this in now …), looking at a breaking down threshold under a roller shutter door where heavily weighted pump truck wheels are getting stuck, discussing guarding issues on the 75T Press, etc. A nice normal day! 😊
Counselling shortly after I got home. He’s still recovering from losing his 22 year old cat over Easter so we spent a fair amount of time talking about that … He offered to pay me for my time! 😉 I’d forgotten that I hadn’t told him about my sociopathic ex so that had to be briefly discussed today. He’s set me a tonne of homework to do before the next session, so I will have to start that early to make sure I get it all done …
Two loads of washing done this afternoon and pretty well dried outside in a cool breeze. Just airing out in the conservatory.
Got out in the garden and made a bit more headway with veg bed weeding 😊 Mr KK had very kindly re sharpened my special weeding tool 😊❤️
Complicated weekend ahead …
Tomorrow we are off to Oxford to visit a childhood friend of Mr KK’s who works as a technical bod (quite senior I think) at some particle accelerator thingamee. Hopefully I will be less vague about this project / facility when I return tomorrow!
We have a shop planned for delivery late evening. Somewhere in the midst of all this we need a takeaway before it gets too late …
Sunday MiL is coming for lunch as it is her birthday. Previous readers will be glad to know that Mr KK has bought his own card for this event instead of relying on my stash … I suggested roast chicken (whatever we feed MiL is a waste of time in one respect as she has no sense of taste due to the meds she is on) which will be a big treat for Mr KK 😊The good news!! 😊🤩
My shoulder is FINALLY recovered enough that I can do some training again 🎊🎉❤️👏😊
No plank, press ups or similar but I can do legs and core 😊
Whoever thought I would become someone excited to train … 😉😂KK

Great news about the shoulder. Your counsellor sounds excellent - how did you find him??? Curious because although I like mine I'm beginning to think it is an expensive waste of time.

Is the chap you're meeting anything to do with the recent success in transporting anti matter? If so, I'm very envious :)
