Quiet day here as I have been tired ….
Another two loads of washing processed, on the line dried and put away.
I have also just persuaded Mr KK to load the machine with his washing as he’s out all day tomorrow so I can start that first thing.
Got Mr KK to help me take a photo of the electric meter screen so I could submit readings - taking a photo with my phone is a two handed activity and my right shoulder wouldn’t have been able to get up there fast enough … 🙄 It does how mean that Mr KK now knows how to read that meter, which is not an obvious process …
We are £112 in credit on the energy account, which I am not unhappy with.
Wrangled the groceries shop. Mr KK did very well - I normally buy him a small box of maltesers each week, but they obviously didn’t have stock of the small box so he got a big one and I will get refunded the difference for the substitution 😊🤷♀️Finished watching Small pr0phets. Satisfactory ending 😊
Popped out and collected my prescription. I should have picked it up yesterday but was just too tired …
Popped out for lunch with a friend, which was lovely. I found I was shattered by the time I got home though, so just sat on the sofa with a brew and my tapestry 😊
Unfortunately, it seems that the car air con repair hasn’t worked so I will have to put it back in again to see what we need to try next. Looks like the compressor may have gone as well as the condenser … another £500 or so apparently …. 😢
Did my rehab exercises. Did them on both sides and one (where you gently pull the shoulder blade down and into the spine slightly) I can do on the left side but in the right side I can’t really feel what I’m doing … I had no idea that my shoulder function was so compromised! 😳
9K steps without really trying 😊

Another limited day, because shoulder …
~ Yoga session because my back and hip are getting tight without training and when I lie in bed in spa way which is comfortable for my hip, it hurts my shoulder and vice versa … (this is becoming very dull!)~ Batch of work soup made; leek and split peas made with the leeks I froze a half pack of, ready prepped, a couple of weeks ago. 😊😋
~ 3 loads of washing processed, dried outside and put away. Mr KK’s weekly wash, the towels and a sweep around my bedroom which garnered a full load of items that weren’t either quite clean nor really dirty. They are all clean now and 80% of them are put away! 👏~ Pulled the dahlias and begonias out of the potting shed and onto the paving outside so I could water them and they can get more light. They should be in the greenhouse but clearing that was beyond me today. 🤷♀️ I have fleeced them this evening to keep them warmer.
~ Watered the patio pots.
~ Cleaned the downstairs loo and sorta cleaned the bathroom, gave up on the shower cubicle, but did empty the trap and cleaned the door of the shower so it’s no longer slippery. Basin and toilet cleaned as normal.~ Sowed some seeds and got them on my heated mat along with the grow light on timer - curly parsley, zinnias, nicotiana and a HHA rudbeckia which is pretty pale yellow daisy / sunflower shape 🌞
~ Changed the batteries in my digital alarm clock and reset everything on it!
~ Ordered new charger lead as the one I use for my phone seems to be acting up …
~ Booked a ticket for a Jacobean house tour for a house and garden I have discovered that is only 20 minutes from here - I will be going in my week off that is coming up. Something to look forward to and get me out of the house! 😊~ I tried to buy car insurance but got rejected right at the end of the process by the provider I selected, so rather lost the will … I must persist with this task this week!
Apart from all of ^^^ I sat on the sofa a lot and watched the Walsh sisters. A bit dark but acutely observed and honestly acted.

That's an excellent amount of activity for a weekend day!

That is definitely not sounding limited! 👏
Hope the shoulder and hip calm down soon. It is so exhausting having to navigate the day and night with pain, on top of the pain and the pain exhaustion isn't it

Yup and the constant anticipation and thinking about how I do things; can I do this with my right arm, do I need to lift my whole body or try to do it with my left? etc etc. Just tiring.

I was a bit disappointed by the Walsh sisters as I had enjoyed the books but that’s often the case isn’t it?

Books were definitely better - but then they've condensed the timeline significantly.

I hadn’t read the books so had no pre expectations 😊

Absolutely shattered today.
It’s been a tough one. We’ve lost two big customers (one will stop ordering in September) and that has tipped us into the need for a redundancy program which will affect every department in the business. Only the management team know and everyone else was in such a good mood after a bright and sunny weekend … it was brutal … Ugh … 😢Car insurance renewed. Haven’t managed to save any money as all the comparisons seem utterly bogus - you end up adding things to alternative policies as you get closer to the payment screen that are already included in your renewal cost, the cost of the originally cost effective alternative becomes huge and the compulsory excesses on top of the voluntary ones are gargantuan atm! 😳 At least that’s done.
Did my rehab exercises this evening. An exercise I couldn’t do at all on Saturday with my right shoulder is could actually feel and do a bit today - that’s my win today 😊Signed myself up for a crafting session in the chapel making paper beads on one of my days off next week. 😊
