I’m very lucky with this boss - he did say once that he was worried when he employed me that we would clash as we are both opinionated and strong characters, but I have always respected that he’s the boss, and I’m caring, which underneath all the Northern “I’m a cold, hard b@st@rd” proclamations, he is too … and we share a similar sense of humour 😊
I would like it known that I have now also vacuumed the floor where the CS stuff and the bag of compost was AND I have wiped down, on my knees, various urky-turky water stains etc. Leaving it to dry and tomorrow I will be able to start shuffling things around. I’m a sad sack, as I am excited for this! 😂😉
Oh, as an aside, late this morning, son of H&S bod told me that his dad is expecting that, as he’s being discharged on Sunday he expects to be back in work on Monday. 😳 I told son that if H&S bod even attempts to return on Monday I will eject him from site! 😂 In all honesty, I suspect that discharge process will include some kind of sick note anyway. I hope so anyway, for H&S bod’s wife and I’s sake …! 🙄😂😂😉😊

It really is a man thing. The more ill you allow yourself to become the more sympathy you should get. Not deal with it today halve how long you are sick & still get some sympathy.

To be fair, as GM he has a lot on his plate and he’d invited a senior colleague in from Group to support a meeting today, otherwise I honestly think he would have postponed it.
Cattery has confirmed! Chloe is booked in 😊

Yay for cattery being confirmed. Though get them to confirm which methods of communication/numbers are working and best to get them on, in case of any unexpected changes to schedule etc

There’s been a ‘change of management’ for the cattery from husband to wife - I chose the wrong number initially and have now edited the contact in my phone to make it more obvious 😊

Absolutely NOT!! She will remain in blissful, treat-led ignorance until the door of the basket closes behind her! 😳😂

Fed up today and can’t quite put my finger on why …
Got some washing done.
Managed a couple of small surveys.
Wrangled groceries delivery.
Packed up box of books for WoB collection, actually I have a question on this … They said that I just needed the quite number but then in the confirmation email it says I need to put the address on the box - which is it? And what is the address?
Met my friend for lunch - it was very busy, we hadn’t thought to book and got shunted onto a kind of bar bench which wasn’t that comfortable. We tried to go for a walk outside after eating but it rained … yet again … 🙄 We both treated ourselves to a new houseplant each, both the same type. Friend paid as I made lunch when she came over at Christmas ❤️
Cleaned bathroom and loo.
Tried to buy myself some replacement makeup but b00ts seems to be oos of everything! 🤷♀️ Very odd.Think I need to focus on some gratitudes:
- The house is warm and cosy.
- I have done cleaning and wrangled unwanted books into some kind of logical order.
- I have a pretty new plant for the office.
- I can see a big clump of snowdrops at the bottom of the garden from where I am sitting ❤️
- I have kept my NSD as friend paid for lunch and I bought plant from ‘pocket money’ 😊KK

That does sound like an annoying day made even more annoying by there being nothing that it's reasonable to be particularly annoyed about, which I find always puts me in a bad mood 😁
Very nice list of gratitudes, what lovely Saturday evening things are available to you to add to the list? 😊

A day of small annoyances is sometimes more annoying than a big annoyance, because it's just as inconvenient but you feel less justified in it!
