@Foofoopuppy i realised that we should do those little things we see all the time but don’t get ‘a round tuit’. It makes such a difference. I have sold loads of houses and said we should have done those little things sooner so we got the benefit.
We have kitchen units with no work surface because i need to template it myself. I have only been procrastinating for 8 years. I have even done the actual template but can’t face going to the granite shop again. I didn’t feel any connection with the chap and its only a couple of small pieces but not worth going far to get them. In the meantime I have a couple of tea towels on the top instead. No decluttering today. Went to see my lovely step daughter and her baby. She is keen to move so we came back with some sort of air fryer which she had in her sitting room because it was too big for her kitchen. Not sure either of us are clever enough to work it out but she says we can use it while we are storing it.20 -
Mrs SD - there is still a leak from the sink - builder popped round this afternoon - he will have to take it all apart and put in a better washer. Builder came to measure the other alley - he had said that he would make one gate first - now is doing both at same time.
Freegler didn't turn up to collect the Curver storage unit - thought it was tomorrow. I will let her have tomorrow and if she doesn't collect - I have someone else wanting it.
Another Freegler has asked for the rocking chair - due to be collected on Saturday morning.
Not impressed with the pastoral care from my SA corps - I live near - it is lunch club today - they could have sent a meal round. I always take a meal to someone when they are unable to attend.
Not cleaned/sorted a shelf in the food cupboard today.
I went out for cash and to collect my boots. Also filled my trolley with cheese and crackers for the COL.
I have paperwork to sort out this evening.

My garage of doom is so full the gardener said he didn’t think we could get a cigarette paper in. To be fair to us there is a little path through and we have 1/4 of it with our tender plants but we need to have another go at it when its warm and not raining. We were let down by a freecycler this week. I always offer to deliver. Its one of those dry buddies from the kids house clearance and via our dining room. Lots of interest so it will go but i wish people would just say if they have changed their mind.16

It’s been a soggy old day here again. Not cold, just wet.
Managed to have a proper chat with mum earlier and she agrees that it’s time for her to be looked after 24/7, so we are looking at residential facilities. I will feel better knowing someone is there all the time.Gave the bathroom the cleaning of its life this morning. Did my taps with a pumice stone to remove some limescale, we have such hard water this side of the island. They look okay for now.Lights wash done and dried on airers, all folded, darks wash done and now drying on airer. Only 1 thing to iron too.DH was having a good day so he dealt with dinner which was superb.Spent a few hours working on family tree stuff. Found some very old photos of 2 of my great aunts. It’s so nice to finally put a face to someone I’ve heard tales of from mum. They were her mother’s sisters. Also tidied up a folder on laptop, can’t be doing with untidy folder.Today has flown by.
Have a good night all, sweet dreams xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Thanks for the tip re ladders @daisy_1571 - I'll have a look at The Range tomorrow - I need to go to Dunelm and they are near each other. Eye test tomorrow morning so I may be decluttering money.
I did my walk but it was so wet we cut it short and went back to cafe at start point for coffee and cake. I filled a second black bag with wallpaper.2026 Decluttering and redistribution 144/1526 Major job list 30/500 Total 174/2026

Monday continued: DH & I finished the hm soup 😋 I have finished knitting another hat (see pic)
I just popped into MSE and landed on page 90
I thought I was way back, so sorry if I've missed anyone's posts as they are ALL precious. Sending Huge (((HUGS))) to all that need them
at is what always seems to be a difficult time of year filled often with sadness, sorrow, pain, and not least frustration

@ Liverpool_Anne - I hope the dentist went well@ Mrs_Salad_Dodger- LOVING the hat! I'll put my order in later
Personally, I only have to hear a dentists drill and I'm out of there!
@ jivjules1- I'm so truly very sorry that both you and your son are suffering at this time. I pray that the right help & support be sent his way
@ TC77 - Decluttering and organising can be so very overwhelming at times. You just have to remember just how much you have decluttered, and try not to focus too much on what's left to declutter. Easier said than done and there always looks like there's more than there actually is when you're trying to get things organised and put away. I got to the point for sanity's sake of having to throw a sheet or few over everything so that I didn't see it for a few hours. It was so nice to see a pile of clutter underneath a single colour!
Eveyone certainly seems to be productive in the decluttering family, regardless of the type of decluttering - It's always a positive thing, even though it might not feel like it at the moment
The usual HH chores and HH basics decluttering here. Decluttered 5 parcels so far this week with another 2 to declutter tomorrow
Unfortunately, I've had to clutter up on essential medical equipment which has been arriving over the past week, but it's a means to a positive end in about 12-13 months; although I'm hoping sooner x Babyface is into everything and anything
The light-up Christmas angel & dove is finished and now packed away safely, although I did take a few pictures before dismantling it. Babyface & I are now decorating a donated small sleigh for the 2 light-up daxies to pull in what will be fake Christmas snow in the front garden
We've got plenty of paint & embellishments to get something together and I'm sure that Babyface will choose everything she wants, she usually does
We managed to gently white wash the sleigh this afternoon with babyface being more white washed than the sleigh and certainly fully washed in the bath by the end of the charade. They're both drying nicely! Little miss tyke
She's presently buttons up, snoring and grunting whilst her tail is going 12 to the dozen - Someones a happy girl!
EDIT: Having abandoned the laptop for an hour and a half, I managed to take a slow walk; without babyface, to the RM Quad / Evri locker to post the 2 decluttering parcels for tomorrow; there were 2 perfect lockers left, and then I collected my neighbours 2 parcels from the inpost locker next to the RM / Evri Quad locker and decluttered them off on the way back. AWESOME! I haven't got to go out tomorrow, if I really can't manage it
Besides, babyface and I have lots of silly girl games, snuggling, and painting & decorating to do / think about
On that note, it's time for a mug of coffee, declutter the cleanwashing out of the washing machine and put a second load on before I might just try and have a shower and/or pop back in later for a catch-up read - Take care everyone & Ta-ta for now xxxxx# No.2 Save 1p A Day Challenge 2026 £59.17 / £667.95 (1)# No.4 Save £12k in 2026 £2454.88 / £12,000 (1)# No.4 £2 Savers Club 2026 - 25/12 - 24/10 £30 / £200 (1)# No.8 Sealed Pot Challenge 19 - 2026 - 24/12 - 24/10 £50+ / £400 (1)# No.5 Fiver Friday Challenge 2026 £25/£230 (1)# Make £2026 in 2026 £855.42 / £2026 (1)18
