Saturday continued: we had a rain shower earlier which I didn’t notice 😉 Dinner is cooking - shop bought pies, potatoes for mash & baked beans. As I am making some headway with the cheerleading I thought I would have another session - still on posts dated the 15th………. Wudupa.
107 - 108 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
109 Kitchen detritus - binned
It rained again late evening. After dinner DSis & I watched a lovely film - A Nice Indian Boy 😊
TC77, you might feel that you are just moving things from room to room, but your numbers say otherwise 😊
oceanspirit, This “I ran out of time so had to fill some boxes and put them in the car just so she could find some surfaces and floor to actually clean. ……. Also, the kitchen is so much nicer with a clear worktop and no box just inside the door. Will get boxes out of the car tomorrow. Will take my time going through them so I get rid of as much as possible.” sounds like a great approach to decluttering ☺️ Great work on the digital decluttering 👏
Lovely post purplevamp 😊Pleased to hear that your first day back at work went well 😊 I do like the sound of the Community Store, very useful 👏
Brambling, well done on sorting out your fabric stash 👏 & even better that you not only found what you were looking for but also reduced your stash by adding some to the CS bag 🥳
That was the last of the posts dated the 15th 🙂 so I can make a start on those dated the 16th 🥳 once we have had dinner………
vulpix , heart ❤️ gratefully accepted 😊 Pleased to hear that you managed to buy some suitably sized boxes for your wardrobe shelves 👏 Sorry to hear that your cold has got worse & you now have “a razor blade throat” 😢 Please try to rest & have plenty of honey & lemon or whatever is your preferred hot drink to soothe your throat 🙏
jivjules1, please remember to do some things that you enjoy during your week off apart from decluttering etc 😉
Lovely cheerleading Liverpool_Anne 😊 Great work with the cleaning, washing & ironing 👏 The church providing items for newly housed homeless people is wonderful ☺️
Dizzycap, very impressed at how well you are coping with you “new RoboCop spine & neck brace fittings” 🥹 You are getting so much done plus working on your Angel & peace dove 👏 What a lovely neighbour 🥹 & with so many bags being dropped off at the CS, your smallest spare bedroom will soon look more like a bedroom than a dumping ground 😊 Pleased to hear that Babyface is still enjoying life & keeping you entertained 😉 Excellent decluttering via selling 👏 & good luck with the last 10 items 🍀
BlueJ94, sorry to hear about the dental appointment 😫 Fingers crossed that you managed to get the underwear drawer sorted 🤞
DundeeDoll, working overseas 🤩 Hope that you can have a bit of relaxation time in between the teaching & evening meetings 🙏
Florenceem, sorry to hear about your horrendous night 🥺 Hopefully you managed a better night’s sleep on Friday night 🙏 What a kind friend 🥹
I am gradually catching up with the cheerleading & am beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel 😮💨 Sleep tight 😴

Hi all, didn't post last night as I was knackered and my brain wasn't working very well 😂. Not much done as I went to the footy. Only got the bathroom bin and lr bin emptied and a load of blown rubbish from the front garden into the bin. Someone must have had something big delivered as there were several large plastic bags and bits of polystyrene packaging everywhere. I had planned to do more but the day got away from me 😂
@Mrs SD I have had the heating on for a while so you have done really well. OH feels cold all of the time 😂. A suitcase of money would be very useful but unlikely, OH's attutude to money is it's earned to be spent 😂. Having said that OH's Ddad took to hiding money when dementia came along and several rolls of notes wrapped in foil were found in the loft as well as rows of £ coins under the edges of the carpet and tied up in hankies in the pockets of unworn suits at the back of the wardrobe 😁. Maybe it's hereditary, I'll keep an eye on the tin foil 😂. Those bird feeders are indeed beautiful 😁
@Green_hopeful love the ducks and the shed 😁. What a lovely person your ds is wanting to save the chicks but I suppose you know that already 😁. I have heard that Indian runners are particularly good at getting rid of slugs in the garden and have often fantasized about having some but the garden just isn't big enough unfortunately but I do love ducks 😁.
@Vulpix at least the mirror has gone to support a good cause 😁. Hope the trip to Bury was good and you got what you wanted and hope the cold improves, hugs
@purplevamp yes drains are grim and somehow they are always my job 😂
@Willowtree222 glad the dehumidifier is working well 😁
@florianatwobob free flowers 😁 how lovely and much better in your house than the bin, well done 😁
Right better get on with something, maybe able to defrost one freezer today I will check now as I make another cuppa 😂
Hugs to everyone who would like one
111 bathroom bin
112 lr bin
113 blown rubbish from the front garden
Take care everyone

Vulpix Bury market is brilliant I've been there several times when I would go up to Tottington to visit my nephew who was vicar at St Annes church. I only wish we had such a fantastic one down here in the south. Great place to buy wool
@ilovetea Biscuits definitely count in the decluttering stakes , I have a box of shortbread biscuits that was given to me at Christmas that I will declutter to one of my grandsons when he visits next as I have cut right back on shortbread now. I managed to buy my second favourite biscoff biscuits with my 'trolley reward'pound last week and they are sitting on my bookcase tempting me, but I am waiting until my DGS Jack comes over next month as he enjoys them bless him so I shall wait then open them with a cuppa for him.
Doing my best to cut biscuit consumption as there was such a lot given at Christmas so rationing myself a bit now
but chocolate ones do have to go first don't they
Did well with the left hand drawer of the large wardrobe found lots of bits to go into the CS bag. Things I had actually put in there when we moved in 18 months ago, and had forgotten about
Decluttered an extention lead on a reel that won't be used as my son-in-law has a very big one in his trunk of tools from their old house No need for two. Also some 'Justin cardboard boxes' that I saved for some reason, they are empty so they have gone to the recyling bin.
I think I'm going to list decluttering as a hobby as I'm now at the stage when my eagle eyes are on the lookout for things to get a new home for
Eldest DD went away for the weekend with her OH, and they stayed at a hotel in Dover and as they had been there before, they got a free upgrade to a suite. I suppose January is a quiet month.
She sent me a video and it looked gorgeous.
Her and her OH are shoppers and their hobby is where ever they go they have to go round the shops
I know, nothing like me as I really am not keen, unless its perhaps the odd CS.
Even when they go to visit my DGS in NYC they go to the outlets. Retail therapy is their hobby
She texted me to say they were going out yesterday for a 'mooch' so I reminded her of 'Martins Mantra' about buying stuff
Must have sunk in a bit, as yesterday evening she texed to say she had saved £60. to which I asked well what did you buy and spend and she said
Three pairs of trousers
One very pretty Teal coloured blouse for work, total cost £28.00
I guess it wasn't too bad considering what they normally spend.
I did my accounts for last year yesterday and was pleased to see I had spent less than I thought even allowing for my new laptop and phone so I too was pleased with the result
This month has been quite a few NSD owing to bad weather and cutting back, so I am looking forward to being even more in the black by the end of the month.
My Stitch & B**ch on a Wednesday is just a cuppa which is £1.50 and the games afternoon on Monday is just £3.00 so apart from topping my car up and a shop for odds and ends in Tescos I'm running at about £105 so far this month and only two more weeks to go. I shall tuck some away for our next trip to the mainland at the end of March.
Trying not to declutter the cash, and only the bits that are no longer needed

Hope you all have a good day ,bit mizzly here at the moment, but not cold and lots of bulbs shooting up in the garden.Hopefully spring will soon be here and the lighter evenings
Cheers chums

Mrs SD, I love how you know exactly what to say to keep us motivated and supported. Deserves a global medal

I do like the bird feeders
Dd2 off today so waiting for her to pack before heading to Heathrow on train. I am biting my tongue at the chaos and telling myself when she comes home July I will be setting an excellent example ( although definitely already an improvement).
Think i missed a game iI put in cs bag and someone collected set of 6 glasses and top in cs bag.20 -
Brie - I am not a crier but this has changed me into one. I still have Mr F's bath towel hanging in the bathroom - don't know how long I will leave it there.
No plans for a lodger.
My SA bestie J collected me and took me to her SA corps. J was leading the service.
Offered a lift home by another SA friend but I came home with J as she was collecting the stuff I had sorted for her charity shop.

16 items in both directions at present. Mostly books out (some of them read before Christmas, but I needed to get them to the bookswap), and mostly house plants (bargain 'just need tlc' box) and undies in. I really need to get through some of the shower gels and body creams I have - I don't normally count these but I've got a number of little bottles from gift sets and it's getting very crowded on my bathroom shelves.

Sunday: quite dull with a little sunshine, a high of 11°C, a low of 6°C & a light SE wind. I was up very late as had fallen asleep on the sofa. Starting the cheerleading from posts dated the 16th
London_1, a lovely post & thank you for sharing such a bittersweet memory 🥺🥹 Decluttering has definitely become your hobby as you enjoy it so much 😊 Good luck tackling the drawer in your wardrobe 🍀
oceandreamer, sounds like Diane in Denmark has struck a chord with you ☺️ so it was great to hear This “…. it has really made me realise that although I definitely need to declutter, I also need to have routines in place so that I am more organised, otherwise I'm just going to declutter then start accumulating it all over again! It's been something of a revelation and I can't quite believe it’s taken me this long to realise why I live in such a mess!” Good luck 🍀
Excellent work vulpix 👏 especially emptying a drawer 👏 I will keep my fingers crossed that MrV succeeds in ‘mission impossible’ by finding a CS that will accept the 2 bags, the mirror & wool 🤞
