Funny you should say that @m@Mrs_Salad_Dodger having worked all friday and saturday we agreed to finish at 3 today so by 4 my colleague and I were lounging by the pool with a caribbean smoothie while we caught up on some reading, then we had a swim then a lovely sauna with two super poets from south africa.DundeeDoll, working overseas 🤩 Hope that you can have a bit of relaxation time in between the teaching & evening meetings 🙏

Mrs SD - well done on catching up to the 16th - do you think the train has slowed down or you are getting quicker at cheer leading?
I was talking to a SA friend who lost her mum before her dad - mum didn't drive so would have been housebound. My friend said that if I had gone first - Mr F would have had to go in a home. Mr F wouldn't have been able to go out on his own - I had to get his rollator out and in the drive for him and then return it to the porch.
I went to the office for more files and saw a metal case - it was unlocked - I took a sheet of paper out - dated 1978!
I had a bad night - back was not too bad but the LS pain was dreadful.
Decluttered today - paperwork and 8 lever arch files.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Evening all.
Been very quiet here, usual health stuff is being somewhat of a pain, hey ho it is what it is.
Decluttered beef mince from freezer and made a slow cooker rigatoni bolognese. Plan to have for dinner Monday. DH snuck a bowlful for his tea and I’ve already put another serving in freezer.
Planning on being busy tomorrow, fingers crossed.
Glad everyone is doing okay.

Much decluttered from the freezer today to create ‘left over pie’. Leftover roast chicken, carrots, brussels, gravy, mushrooms and redcurrant sauce from Xmas/new year all tossed into a pastry case and cooked alongside some more carrots and parsnips and some yellow sticker Yorkshire puds. Delicious and there’s some more room in the freezer now.

Decided to tackle the kitchen as it’s become very grubby and cluttered. We need to get a new oven and hood as they work only intermittently. I have a small investment maturing in a couple of months that should just cover the costs of the above. Only managed one side but scrubbed with in an inch of its life. Took everything out, checked dates etc. At least 40 bits of food in the bin ( recycled all packaging), 2 large bowls which were chipped ( one was my auntie’s that has passed away. I’ve been reluctant to let it go), garlic bread wooden plate ( onto the to be burned pile), 8 metal items, salad servers ( to be sold) jam thermometer ( to be sold) 3 tea towels, large pan and hand mixer. Phew 63 items.
