@London_1 I saw that Titanic
documentary. It was very good. Years and years ago there was a Titanic exhibition at the O 2 where you were given the name of a passenger at the start at the end you found out if you survived the disaster or not. It made it all the more atmospheric and relatable as when you wandered around you found yourself thinking ‘Oh that’s what my cabin would’ve looked like’ and ‘Oh that’s the crockery I’d have been eating off’. I was very relieved at the end to discover I did survive however DSis didn’t.I also need to start plotting my seed sowing. I have various seeds
which are beyond their best sowing dates but I’ll give them a go and see if they do. I did see a lady who used plastic milk bottles as mini greenhouses. She cuts round three sides of the bottle and leaves the handle side attached to hinge the bottle so the seeds get light and warmth. That might be useful for Ben and his budding gardeners.✒️ Declutter 2025 🏅👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Morning all. I have been awol but have been busy all weekend cracking on with bedroom 3. @London_1 I also still have my Christmas jigsaw on the go. Cats on bookshelves intermingled with vases of flowers. It is very slow going - the books and flowers all in place and I have done most of the shelf pieces. The cats are going to be the hardest bit.
The bedroom 2 furniture arrived and DS2 put them together at the weekend. The only thing left for that room is deciding on some pictures and possibly getting another mirror. I got coathangers and some new storage boxes and I have a shelf ready for some novels. That all gives me some points for Project 1 (Finish off bedroom 2 and kitchen) Project 2 is Bedroom 3 - I have moved stuff out and stored out of the way (mostly in my wardrobe or on top of it) DGS4 still has his bed and a chest of drawers in there but I can work round them at this stage. Three black bags full of wallpaper ready to go to tip along with packaging from furniture. I am going to put an oak fronted billy bookcase in there for him to display his lego and keep it dust free - there are three of these in living room which is too many. The chest of drawers is oak and I have a nice oak cupboard and bookcase so plenty to choose from for in there. He likes his grey and yellow curtains which I brought from the other house and wants the room done in grey including the carpet. The walls are in pretty good condition so I will need to get the chased areas (for rewiring) plastered over. I need to get the electrician back to check two plugs and move my bathroom light pull across so I can move door to a more sensible side to open.
Quite a lot of stuff in garage to go so I may go to tip on my way to meeting this afternoon. No DGCs until Thursday pm but DS2 is off on holiday Friday so I will have them most of next week. Will try and finish wallpaper removal this morning and I need to contact plumber, electrician and plasterer.
99 Minutes frog done
100 Calendar updates all done
101 General tat and broken bits from bedroom 3 binned
Project 1 - 20/50
Project 2 - 5/50
There are 10 projects which I plan to do this year but that may be over ambitious.

Morning all 👋🏼
Apologies for being AWOL, have tried to keep up/read along..
Everyone in the house has experienced one lurgie or another, no two people symptoms have been the same 🤷🏻♀️ It’s been rough and I’m still not 100%, though thankfully much improved.I’ve managed a very early trip to Leeedles (still saying it the Irish way as we think it’s much better 🤣)
Yay to it being super quiet, managed to be in and home withing 45 mins 🥳 Also decluttered a small amount of gubbins from the car door into their bin 😇
Enjoyed some breakfast while sat chatting to DS1, he struggles with poor mental health, started as a young boy and he is very hard on himself about it 😔 So when he wants to chat and be social we (that is, anyone in the house) always makes time. I’m very proud of his current efforts to help himself, he is eating better, going to the gym and has quietly mentioned he’s been “smoke” free for almost a month, says he doesn’t want that life anymore..That for me is an absolute triumph, have been waiting to hear those words from him for nearly 10 years!Admit to having had a little cry when he went back upstairs, it’s been an enormously long, difficult, often lonely and immensely dark road at times.. It feels that this time, a corner has most definitely been turned ☺️
Anyhoo.. I digress.. I want to find at least one carrier bag of things to go today, to re-kick start my motivation!
Hugs, sticks and much love to anyone in need right now.. 💗"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇

I resisted buying wool at Bury market. It's still a good market and people come on coach tours which is great.
I am quite close to using up my wool stash. I have some sewing frogs to eat before I get lost in knitting again.
Result with the new sofa Floss.
Thank you for our medals Mrs SD. Everything in the house has been unpacked but there are several random sized sheds/ storage boxes in the garden with goodness knows what in them. There are several things I haven't found which I hope will turn up in the sheds. TBH apart from the random moving people the move was so easy because I only packed what I thought we needed. A huge amount went to the charity shop before the move.We don't have a lot of stuff now. I am always saying we have loads of clothes but I imagine not compared to lots of people. As I have been finding homes for things that I thought we needed when I packed, quite a lot has already gone. There are 2 empty floor cupboards and 2 empty wall cupboards in the kitchen. There could be more when I have a sort out in there and organise it better. I bought a couple of plastic tub things for spices the other day. Helpful when they have to live on a shelf. We had a carousel thing at the last house. I don't know if I would have another one. They take up a huge amount of cupboard space for the amount of storage they give.
We are both feeling much better today. My voice is starting to come back. Mr V's cough is much better. Time to do some jobs off the to do list. First I have to eat a revolting frog. I have had a letter with pages and pages of forms from my work pension. Must be the cold but I have read it 3 times and have no clue what it is about. I will have to phone them which they don't like, and I don't like doing everything on line!

Had difficulty the last few days engaging myself to do much.
To not waste time though, I have binned some big boxes that arrived with items. The bins have all been emptied in the house as it is bin day tomorrow for general waste (it is every three weeks).
Decluttered thoughts to send a message telling DD's dad what I think of him. It has no impact on his behaviour and he doesn’t see his behaviour as wrong. The latest is his new car, worth over 100k but has told DD on several occasions this week she can't have something because it is too expensive. The first was having her nails done and the second was having their usual Friday tea at Nandos. Hardly bank breakers when you buy a new car and rolex to match. Anyway, I have told him before about priorities but he doesn’t listen so no point enraging myself and engaging in an argument that effectively will be a waste and behaviour will continue. It has taken me a lot of self control to get to this point and yesterday almost sent me under.
Sending love and thoughts to everyone who needs it. I know there is a lot of people going through very difficult times. I hope today you find a little peace xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

@Willowtree222 DSis was less than impressed about her demise on the Titanic. I think she just has one of those faces. At the York Dungeons she got selected to be the witch burnt at the stake. I couldn’t bring myself to join in with the ‘burn the witch’ chanting which I think showed appropriate sisterly feeling!!On another note to you this DD’s dad doesn’t see the things DD likes as valuable and is therefore dismissive of her nails and Nando tradition?✒️ Declutter 2025 🏅👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

He likes his own material possessions but will happily tell DD that thanks she wants are 'too much' or 'too expensive' doe Christmas he promised her a figure but didn't have it at that time. She is 12 and autistic. I have lost count of the endless promises that have never happened.florianatwobob said:@Willowtree222 DSis was less than impressed about her demise on the Titanic. Decluttering anger has been my hardest achievement. It only impacts me as he takes zero responsibility.

willowtree so sorry to read that about your (ex/prev partner/current partner? ) sorry to hear he is so dismissive of his daughter
Madam mim lovely to read about your son, sending him much strength for any future smoking temptations
Bluej fabulous bargain on the plates
Florianatwotbob I did the titanic thing in Orlando 7 years ago, the names were on our ticket receipts when we paid, like you guys mr d survived, I died. Very moving to follow these real people round the exhibition without knowing the fate of 'our' names, Mr ds person turned out to be rather despicable, wealthy, bribed his way onto a liferaft or bribed them to push off once he was on board but before it was full can't rem which and went on to make a fortune, I think I was a normal passenger as far as I remember.
