Super quick update from me:

39. Pair of DS3's socks to the bin - hole in one toe
40. Now too big top to bin - I'd done several repairs to it, so not really fit for CS
41. Bottle of laundry liquid UU, bottle recycled and replaced from stash (I have approx 2.5-3 years worth of laundry products in the garage! 😱)
42. Pile of receipts from Xmas presents (all ok) recycled
43. 2 very vanilla-y tealights burned in kitchen for food smells
Digital Declutter 20026
502. Another bunch of emails (over 50) deleted from work email addresses (only counting as 1 item as they're not personal)
503 - 663 1600+ WhatsApp messages and photos deleted (I'll take approx 10% as # to add)
663 -6. 4 WhatsApp group chats cleared and groups left and deleted (5/26 of unsubscribing target within a target)
667 - 736. 600 photos deleted from phone - 10% of that number taken as declutter amount for this list

Hi all, well today wasn't that good a day. Bathroom day so as the bath has been a bit slow draining, we've had to use a plunger to get it moving for a few weeks I had a go at clearing that first. I had a notion that there was some sort of blockage that sort of shifted when the warm water got to it so I part filled the bath with warm water and added some washing soda and plunged 😁. This has been done before and I thought it had worked but it came back. This time it did work and the bath emptied well.
Pleased with my little self I decided to pop out to get another new flat sheet as I am planning on decluttering at least 3 fitted sheets from the airing cupboard and I think I might have another couple bagged up in the room of non requirement 😁. Working on the theory that 1 sheet is sufficient in the summer when I can get it off the bed, washed and dried and back on the same day it definitely isn't enough for this time of year when they take 2 days to dry on the maiden. When I got to Dun3lm blow me they were in the sale, over 50% off 😁 so I got 2 😂. I know I know but I just couldn't resist and I got 4 pillow cases reduced from £8 to £2 😂. Still to quote Londin_1 they should see me out 😂 and I won't be dreading changing the bed and the battle of the corners before the battle of the quilt cover 😂. When I got home ln told me she had seen water overflowing from the hopper thing where all the upstairs water joins the roof water. Right so ladders out and up I go, cleared a few dead leaves but not much really to cause it to overflow so upstairs and run the bath tap, back up the ladder and it looks clear to me. Ln is now there telling me she saw water coming from somewhere further down the drainpipe. Much discussion about where, her eyesight isn't the best, and eventually we get to a bracket. There is no join there for the water to come from so we decide it must have been coming over the top of the hopper and running down until it hit the bracket. Further investigation of the bottom drain reveals a big clump of gubbins which I removed. So I now think the original blockage was slowly pushed out of the bath drain and into the hopper and then down to the bottom drain. It should all be clear now but just to make sure another bath full and some more washing soda were put through the system 😁. Meanwhile ln is saying she hadn't seem me for ages, which is true as I hadn't wanted to give her my cold so I said just give me a minute to put all the stuff away and wash my hands and I will pop in with a pot of coffee. So that's as far as sorting out the bathroom got 😂. The mop and bathroom cleaning gubbins are still in the bathroom so it might get done tomorrow 😁. OH came along and brought the Bailey's so a part bottle was decluttered as what was left after OH and ln had had a couple of glasses was left with ln to have with her friend who comes round to see her every week 😁. OH does have another bottle 😂.
By the time we got home it was past my tea time so I nuked a portion of leek and potato soup from the freezer, I badly needed to eat 😂.
Apart from that the bedroom bin and bedroom recycling were emptied but that's all I managed today 😁.
@Dizzycap the dove is amazing, you are very talented. I bet you could sell them 😁. My sister's daxie is now 18 and has just had his check up with the vet who was amazed at how well he is doing 😁
@BlueJ94 big hugs
@DundeeDoll I had a look at Diane but I have to say she didn't grab me, her house is far too organised for me to relate to atm, maybe one day 😁
@Mrs SD yes there is always time for football for me. I have to admit that unless I am in hospital I don't miss a home game, once I missed a game when I had covid as well but that was because I didn't want to spread it 😁. Just about everything else comes second for me I'm afraid 😁.. Talking of which there is a game tomorrow 😂
@Vulpix glad you are feeling better today and the storage worked 😁. Could you try selling the mirror as a start for your fundraising? Might be able to get a couple of ££ for it, just a thought.
@Green_hopeful, any chance of a photo of the ducks 😁
@Florenceem, big hugs. Not wanting to add things to your list of jobs but when you get a chance you should remember to redo your will. This was the first thing the solicitor told my Dmum after my Ddad died.
@StickyTheStickInsect would moving your container of things to a different storage place be an option if you want to keep some things until after the extension is done? I know you still have to fit in the moving of stuff but it might give you a bit more breathing space, hugs
With so many people having a very tricky day I had to check it wasn't Friday 13th 😁
Right time for bed
Hugs to everyone who would like one
107 drain cleared fingers crossed 😁
108 bedroom bin
109 bedroom recycling
110 bottle of Bailey's 😁.
Take care everyone

Finally I am starting on posts dated the 14th 🙂
vulpix, Tuesday certainly wasn’t your day 😔 I blame it all on the limbo that is created after Christmas when days seem to disappear & reappear at random 😉 I do hope the breaks weren’t on the same leg 🙏
Lovely cheerleading Liverpool_Anne 😊 Hopefully vulpix will book an appointment to see her GP 🤞
Willowtree222, maybe if it had been the end of the decluttering year ………… 🤭
GrannyKate, skidding on black ice must have been quite terrifying 😱 & very lucky to escape with minor injuries 😮💨 Hopefully there was no lasting damage to your sister’s knee 🤞 I’m not surprised that the lad sobered up, forget the baubles, pine needles are really sharp 😣
BlueJ94, Fingers crossed that you managed to put the washing on the airer before going to work 🤞
vulpix, please, please see the GP 🙏
_Dolly_Rocker_ you were hardly going to be skiving 😉
daisy_1571, I absolutely adored This “As my grandma used to say, wouldn't do if we were all the same, everyone would have wanted to marry your granda!” 🥹 Plus This “Liverpool_Anne- solution for top of gas meter cupboard - small sign 'Leave anything here if its for the bin' 🙄 😆 🤣 😂 sweep anything left there into the bin everytime you go past 😆 🤣 😂 You're welcome. 😀 “ is brilliant 🤣
Brie, I had to smile at This “OH would be horrified to think of taking CDs out of their "jewel" boxes and putting them in envelopes.” 😁 As to the cataloguing method just 🤩. Your OH must be very knowledgeable 😊
Very interesting how you went about decluttering your CDs & DVDs Green_hopeful 🤔 Good luck with ‘Mission Ruthless’ 🍀
_Dolly_Rocker_ at least you saved your Mum from adding to her clutter 😉 Well done on getting so much decluttering etc dealt with on a busy work day 👏
Watty1, once you have cleared the house, it will be enjoyable to look at/source equipment to play your DVDs & CDs 😊 especially if you can raise money by selling on bay of e 👏
London_1, pleased to hear that your sniffles didn’t turn into a cold so you could enjoy the Stitch and B**ch meeting 😊 + Well done on the decluttering 👏 Shame about not being able to get your favourite biscuits at a discount ☹️ Although how nice that your tidiness returning a trolley to the trolley park resulted in a ‘reward’ & prompted you to treat yourself to a packet of biscuits 😊 - your 2nd favourites perhaps 😉 Keep up the good work with the killer jigsaw 😊
BlueJ94, hope the dentist visit goes well 🤞
florianatwobob, sounds like you are enjoying your return to listening to CDs 😊
grandmanerd, you had one heck of a day on Wednesday 😔 So sorry to hear that the technology that is supposed to make life easier conspired to make your life so difficult 🥺 I hope that you have now regained your equilibrium & that the lurgy has beaten a hasty retreat 🙏 I am keeping everything crossed that the sale of your grandma’s house goes through by the end of the week 🤞
Yorkie1, yippee to the plastic boxes & lids being put in next weeks recycling 🥳 “You know it makes sense” as Del Boy would say 😉
Excellent decluttering vulpix 👏 Great work sorting out the last 2 banana boxes 👏 Just a shame that little mouse forced you to bin a few bits 😞 Hopefully you can catch ‘mousy boy’ before he does any further damage 🤞Good luck finding the coffee set 🍀
Excellent decluttering ilovetea, especially the emails 👏
Useful information Floss 🙂
suzeesu2000, I haven’t had a sausage casserole in years - not since my DSis moved in as she doesn’t like it 😞 I used to use the Hairy Bikers recipe & now that you have reminded me I will find the recipe & let DSis fend for herself 😉
Florenceem, how lovely that your youngest daughter knitted hats as Christmas presents 🥹 Your complaint obviously did the trick as the chap turned up on Wednesday to collect all the disability equipment 😮💨 You are certainly keeping busy & with the amount of work & decluttering you have done, I am awarding you 2 Gold Stars ⭐️⭐️ Gentle cwtches 🤗 are also on the way.
Well done getting rid of a big work frog jivjules1 👏 & great work with the meal prep👏 Not only helpful with the grocery challenge but also time saving 👏
Very excited as that was the last of the posts dated the 14th 😜 A perfect time to post & say goodnight, sleep tight 😴

@Liverpool_Anne we have 7. Three beautiful Indian runner ducks who are good girls but a bit nervous. And four very naughty Pekins. We got the Pekins because my son’s school did one of those hatching projects. He rang me because the school were going to send the ducklings back to the farm to be killed. Turns out they are three girls and a very funny but naughty drake. He runs between my legs as i walk and zigzags in front of me trying to trip me up. He also nips my legs if he sees skin. The nips really hurt and bruise for months. He is totally tame though so i just pick him up and carry him if he gets too naughty. The photo is when the Pekins were still ducklings. The runners won’t share a house with them so i had to build them a new shed. I upcycled a shed from marketplace.

Thanks Daisy_1571 and Yorkie1. We had the sign for ages and it seemed perfect for the purpose. The shed was £30 on marketplace. I mixed the paint using a real duck egg shell to match for the colour. The paint was originally just pale blue despite being called duck egg blue.18

Love the Duckingham Palace Green_hopeful, I have a bit of a soft spot for ducks but sadly we can't have them as our very barky Westie ( Ted) would be chasing them all the time, along with the large dopey greyhound (Stan) my DD owns.
We decided that Ted the Westie has 'small dog syndrome' as he is very bossy and even when running on our local beach will bark at the temerity of the waves breaking on the shore
and as for seagulls he practically explodes with anger, and gets very cross when they take off and fly overhead He is the daftest dog DD has ever had as if you say boo to him he scurries away and hides He's all bark and no actual bite
The greyhound (Stan) is like Shaggy off the tv, large, loping and completely useless and soppy. If we ever had a burgular he would lick them to bits He's very soft and silly, and the Westie bosses him around dreadfully.
Stan has apparently no appetite switch, and will eat almost anything he finds in the least edible His total since Christmas was three bird fat balls that he found in a bag waiting for my DD to string up on one of the trees, plus he has yen for any tealights he can find and eats them up like sweeties ! ! !He managed four before we spotted what he was doing, the dog is a looney tunes.Everything edible has to go out of is reach.
He was rescued as he was due to be PTS as if greyhounds stop winning they are sent to rescue places. DD chose him because of his huge brown eyes and his very soft loving nature, not realising he was a doggy waste disposal system I swear he was a goat in a previous existance.
Today I am going to declutter the other bottom left hand drawer of my wardrobe. I managed to get four pairs of slippers unworn from my right hand shoe drawer, plus a pair of sandles worn only once for a wedding they are in the CS bag for donating next week.
When we moved into our house the previous owner left a huge pine double wardrobe in my bedroom which was really useful as my previous house had fitted wardrobes, so it saved me from buying one.
Its actually really nice and almost matched my two chest of drawers, so I kept it It
It holds all my clothes on hangers, and the bottom has two very large drawers one for shoes and the other filled with odds and ends of stuff so thats the one to be tackled today.
I am being very ruthless with stuff at the moment if its not seen the light of day in six months its going
Its looking like a dry day for a change so I may have a walk down to the coffee shop on the beach this afternoon and get a bit of fresh air while its dry. If I go through the park first I will hopefully see some of the red squirrels that abound there
I hope every one has a good day what ever you are doing.
Hugs for Florenceem, well done on how you are coping honey, one step at a time xx

The shed was a good upcycle. I found it on marketplace and the seller helped me dismantle it. I think he was a little embarrassed by how poorly it was but I know sheds are not too tricky to fix and it is a good quality shed. I don’t think the seller could quite believe the difference when I sent him the pictures. I already had the paint and roofing felt so it didn’t cost anything beyond the purchase price.
It featured on the MSE facebook page.
