Still not got much done though a bit more energy today so I’m hopeful for later in the week. Got rid of a big work frog so that was good and did some meal prep, Cooke the ham joint from the freezer which will help
in my grocery challenge.
good tip about MM and WoB I’ve used ziffit in the past this might make it easier to get my donations out. Late and on call shift tomorrow so unlikely to get much done but will keep plodding on17 -
Hi all, busy day today but not much apart from dust and dirt decluttered 😂. Stairs and landing day today. So decided to wash the walls and woodwork. Got all the banister and spindles done, the skirting boards and dado rails and some of the picture rails. I realised as I was walking up the stairs that I had missed the picture rails in the hallway so they are on the list for next week 😁. The landing window sill and window were cleaned.
I had to move a few things around on the landing to get to the woodwork but the carpet was hoovered and they were put back in a much better way. I didn't finish the picture rail as everything took so long and I needed to eat 😂 and I still need to hoover the stairs so I will do that tomorrow first 😁. The only things I found to declutter were instructions for a gazebo and a random screw 😂. I have no idea why we have instructions for a gazebo as to the best of my knowledge we do not have one and never have had one though it is always possible OH has put one in the loft without my knowledge. If I find one up there it will be decluttered 😂. I did put 5 cleaning rags in the bin and my rag bag is looking quite empty now, will have to have a hunt to restock it 😂.
The bird feeders were also topped up as I notice we are getting regular visits from a family of blue tits, some starlings, a robin and a blackbird 😁. You can see why things take me so long when I spend time sitting with a cuppa watching the bird feeders 😂
@Vulpix big hugs. I also have my phone number in my contacts, could never remember it 😂. Mice, the last thing you need but this time of year they find ways in to keep warm 😁. I remember having mice in a student house and while the lads were very gung ho to kill the things that had eaten their bread I made them borrow humane traps from college and release them about a mile away 😂.
@daisy_1571 I might try that 😂😂😂.
Is there a way to send stuff to wob or mm without printing the label? I don't currently have a printer so could you just write one or does it have to be printed?
@Mrs SD digital updates always throw me too 😑
@Watty1 well done on the sale
@London_1 I find it strange that people abandon trolleys as well. I always return them but especially if I have put £1 in them 😂
@florianatwobob, I didn't know you could still buy cd players, your post sent me down an internet rabbit hole looking for them as I currently can only play mine in the car, thank you, I think once the kitchen is sorted I might invest in one 😁.
@grandmanerd what a trying day and then to find out the house sale hadn't gone through as well, hugs
@suzeesu2000 I have looked at soup makers but decided against as I tend to batch cook soup and freeze it and I really am too lazy to make small quantities and then have the hassle of washing it up, no dishwasher here though I do know several people who have them and love them.
@Florenceem couldn't you donate the food from the freezer? Seems a shame to just bin it.
Right time for bed
Hugs to everyone who would like one
96 - 100 rags binned
Take care everyone

@London_1 - When I went with my parents and a friend to Switzerland, we spent one night in France (rather than in Geneva). But we hadn't planned to stay at all so had taken no Euros with us. My friend and I went to one of the stores to look around and watched as people abandoned their trollies. So the two of us went around and rounded and returned the trolleys until we had a nice supply of Euros and went shopping. Totally free day of shopping.20

Wednesday continued: I stirred my stumps today & went out. Only went to As*a to pick up a few bits & pieces. However I treated myself to a pair of men’s tracksuit bottoms. I also finally remembered to pick up a few tins for the in-store food bank collection. Caught the bus home & lovely surprise DH & DSis got on the bus at the DLR station stop. DH & DSis were both happy as neither required treatment. I received a call from my step uncle letting us know details of his wife’s funeral on the 23rd. DSis phoned our brother as we weren’t sure if he had been contacted. It was the first he’d heard. Unfortunately he won’t be able to attend as he currently has prostate issues & is under treatment.
Dinner was sausages, mash, baked beans & tinned tomatoes. Wudupa.

Wednesday2000, you might not think your decluttering went well but I beg to disagree 😉 You not only decluttered useless, to you, supplements but also membership of a book group which was no longer giving you pleasure 👏 Once the books are returned to the library & the towels are delivered to the dog charity I think that you will be pleased with your decluttering 😊
Beautiful sentiments GrannyKate 🥹 What a nice lad at Dunelm checkout 🥳 Good work on project 1 👏 Good luck with your competition entries 🍀 hopefully you will win many more nice prizes 🤞
Lovely post SpikyHedgehog 😊 Great decluttering of bags to Dunelm 👏 & very impressed at how restrained you were in the cs & sm 😊 Great work completing the smaller knitting projects 👏 & good luck with the rest of the projects 🍀 This “My plan for the church baby knitting which isn't for a specific baby is to wrap it and store at church, ready to give to parents/grandparents as the babies happen. Don't think I've got much baby wrapping paper or tissue paper left, so that may mean using small freezer bags from the box on the kitchen table... which will repurpose the bags as they're too small for really being using for food. If it's for a specific baby, I'll get it passed onto the family as soon as I can.” is such a lovely thing to do 🥹 Really sorry to hear about the moth issue & how much wool you had to bin 😧 such nasty little b*g*ers 😖
Welcome back Rootle 👋 An excellent start to your 2026 Decluttering journey & I am especially impressed that you managed to get rid of your favourite jeans 👏 I hope you have managed to find a new favourite pair 🤞
Deb4, good work posting your parcels, continuing with your meal planning & best of all having 5 NSDs 👏 This “I have been looking for a new job but I just don't know what I want to do, I am 50 this year and I had hoped by now I know what I want to do by now 😢” struck a chord 😉 I never knew what I wanted to do & spent 31 years working in pensions administration 😞 Although not a conscious decision, I mainly enjoyed my working life having worked for two good employers 😊 An added bonus is that the benefits & the pension were especially good at the time 😊
Lovely post purplevamp ☺️ Hope the postie turned up 🤞 Good luck getting back into your working routine 🍀
Foofoopuppy, some great work done in readiness for moving 👏 I will keep my fingers crossed that your listings on v!nted result in sales before the need to donate 🤞 Sorry to hear that the “gas issue” is still ongoing ☹️
YorksLass, a beautiful & thoughtful post 🥹
florianatwobob, also a beautiful & thoughtful post 🥹 So sorry to hear This “……I’m currently not looking forward to reaching December this year as it will be 24 years since my dad died and every year after this means that he’s been gone longer than I knew him.” 🥺
Happy_Kitties, excellent decluttering of both general & neutral items 👏
I had been doing so well but have gone slightly backwards with the cheerleading today 🙁 Never mind, I will catch up 🙂 Sleep tight 😴

Liverpool_Anne - the freezer food was old. I got a new upright fridge/freezer when Mr F was in hospital in 2023 and I had been using that. The food in the big chest freezer was not fit to donate.
Awake at 4.30 and couldn't go back to sleep so got up at 5. Been chatting online to my SA bestie.
Going to hoover and mop downstairs before doing the ironing and getting out of my pjs.
My parcel of SA uniform is arriving this morning - hope it fits as SA uniform is strange sizing.
Going to sort out more paperwork today before I go shopping.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Kitchen worktop is nearly clear. Went through a drawer in the bedroom as there was a pile accumulating on top of the COD, several items into recycling and binned, another item for CS. Pile now put away.
Continuing to UU food stocks and bathroom stocks so more jars and tubes etc into recycling.
I have booked a cleaner to come and do a one off clean, so more frantic tidying to do. Nothing like a deadline to focus the mind.20 -
yes Liverpool_Anne you don't need a printer for mm or wob, there's instructions on each of the websites, any one with books, games, cds, dvds give it a go, so easy. i contacted one of them about old books I had with no bar code and they got back quite quickly wanting one of them too. 🙂

Mr V's trainers in the bin, worn to destruction.
Just about to go for a scan, 2nd time lucky. The scan clinic is in a shopping centre. Very convenient and no parking charges. Inspired thinking there by someone at the NHS.
I will buy some storage boxes for the narrow shelves in the wardrobe whilst we are there.
Plumber coming this afternoon to see about changing a radiator.
You are on fire LiverpoolAnne.
