@suzeesu2000. I love my soup maker (although it’s my 2nd one as I broke the first one 🤦♀️) makes 1.2 or 1.6 Litres and it’s super easy. I hate washing it up but it doesn’t take long really.14

J came and put out the bins. The weather forecast for Tuesday is fine so tentatively booked J to tidy the garden. The chap who was running me to and fro the hospital phoned - he is available for me anytime.
I went upstairs for more files to sort - there are still 33 on the shelves. The shelves are on one side of the room. The other side is the wardrobe which has a lot of stuff to sort.
I am going to register the death tomorrow then collect the dry cleaning. I will call at SA in the early morning between rough sleepers breakfast and food bank.
I did cook and eat a meal this afternoon.
Decluttered -
9 files, paperwork, envelopes, paperclips, pens, pencils, felt tip pens, carrier bags, suitcase, vintage Christmas decorations, OOD tins, freezer food,

I feel overwhelmed by the amount of paperwork in the office for me to sort through.
How many years of council tax, water rates, energy bills etc do I need to keep? My friend says she keeps none as hers is all electronic.
Then I don't understand what I have or need to do about the will - obviously don't want to involve solicitors if not needed.
It is a simple will - I am executrix and inherit everything - I am so confused by the sound of probate - do I need that?
I think I will get 4 copies of the death certificate tomorrow as I will use the Just Once system - not sure I understand about that either.
I just can't concentrate.
I have money to pay the undertaker - going there on Monday.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Probate depends on how much money is involved including a house.
Is there anybody that can help you find out that you trust to know your financial circumstances?
The Just once is an online form that informs a lot of organisations in one go so you are not having to inform multiple people.
If you have a joint account, take the death certificate to the bank along with some identification for yourself and the will and his name will be removed (I am sorry this sounds so final, but it is what they do).
If it isn't a joint account take identification and the will and they will advise on whether you need probate. Each banks threshold is different.
I am sorry that you have so much to do, it is hard especially when you have lost your soul mate.
Thinking of you.

Willowtree222 - thank you. There are no joint accounts. I had power of attorney but that has stopped.

I would approach each bank with the will and your identification, power of attorney, and death certificate and ask them to advise.
My dad had power of attorney, the will and death certificate but the assets were over threshold so he did have to apply for probate. This isn't always the case though.

I also wanted to say that I am sorry how clinical this sounds. Mr F was a real person and how you spoke about him was so lovely. It is clear you had a beautiful bond.
