Hi all, quick update from this afternoon. Just did a quick sweep of the lr and found various bits to bin / recycle so that was done but not enough to fill a bag / bin so nothing to add though I did forget to add the LDFPA from this morning so will add those now 😁. 2 more loads of washing on the maiden now 😁.
@Willowtree222 let us know how the dehumidifier works 😁
@Brie great list and I probably have a few of them 😂
@spikeyhedgehog the hallway feels amazing and I am determined it will stay that way but I know the top of the gas cupboard is going to be a battle 😂
@oceandreamer good luck with the sales 😁
@grandmanerd hope you are feeling a bit better soon hugs
@Mrs SD lovely hats as usual 😁
@Brambling I really love a set of small draws 😁
@Vulpix the waiting list for a knee is quite long if you need one, please go to the Drs and find out a bit more, might be something else is needed but if you do need a new knee just get on the list now , big hugs

dND, excellent work getting your DVD storage systems & CD towers into their designated positions 👏 whilst playing the sliding puzzle game crossed with jenga 😅 Hopefully you won’t need the tin snips 🤞Well done keeping up with the vagaries of your councils rubbish & recycling collections 👏 with any luck this will be the last week of disrupted collections 🤞 I am hoping you are a Star Wars fan …….. “may the Force be with you” keeping your positivity strong 😊 I trust it was genealogy that won out 😉
DundeeDoll, any chance of a picture of the silk cushion covers 🙏 Well done sorting all the Tupperware 👏 & good luck with the last kitchen drawer 🍀
Great result it’s the sales TC77 👏 It will be nice to have both your girls home with you 🥹 as I imagine it has been several months since all 3 of you were together 🤔 I will keep my fingers crossed that most of the cables/books/toys are taken by your DDs 🤞 You are correct - the train is definitely travelling faster than ever 😊 Btw I am impressed with This “A year or so ago I decided I only wanted trousers with pockets which made it easy to get rid of others and now decided I dont like v neck or scoop neck clothes on the whole so this is hope will make it easier to get rid of a few things.” 👏 Remember though that you do need to keep some tops 🙊
StickyTheStickInsect, great work by you & your cousin 👏 Hopefully your Dad will go through his clothing as requested 🙏 Good luck for the next session of decluttering on Friday 🍀
I am quite excited - end of a page & also the last post dated the 11th 🥳 Sleep tight 😴

Will do Liverpool Ann.
The crayon set went to the scouts. It had 288 crayons in it. Good job I am not counting items. It would make it seem that I had done more than just move one box.
Washing today so will see how the dehumidifier is.September 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.

Morning all - very frosty here again. The stories re loft and Christmas decorations reminded me of a tale from many years ago. We were in sister's boyfriend's car coming down steep bendy hill when it hit black ice and rolled over and into a wall. Fortunately we all only had minor injuries but my sister's knee was twisted so taken to A & E. It was New Year's Eve so busy and we sat there a long time (even then possibly 1964 or earlier). About 2am a ambulance bought a young lad in - superficial injuries but covered in scratches and pine needles - nurses were laughing as it turned out he had been out celebrating and had lost his house keys. He decided to climb in through a sky light but failed to take into account the fact that there was a very large real Christmas tree directly below the skylight. He lost his grip and landed in the tree which was covered in baubles (Glass not plastic at that time) - he had sobered up by then!
DD has set off early in the frost for her conference. Need to do school run then committee meeting. I will see if I can organise some garage space later and put some bits out of Bedroom 3 in there. I'll also get a couple more plastic sheets to put over the bed whilst I am stripping things.
Have a good day everyone.2026 Decluttering and redistribution 144/1526 Major job list 30/500 Total 174/2026

LiverpoolAnne, I know you are right. I had the steroid injections into both knees years ago. Was told then the next step would be replacement. I have issues, both with seeking medical help and having treatment. I will work on it .

Yeah that whole scheduling work last night to skive a bit this morning didn't work. Had meetings scheduled since 9am.
Gonna clean the kitchen after my next meeting.Debt Free - 4th June 202517 -
Sounds very similar to my spreadsheet so I can find instrumental, country, metal, comedy songs, xmas, audio book, half hour radio show - it all depends what I'm in the mood for and now I can easily find it like you, im enjoying the accessibility. I have similar list for my dvds, musical, black n white, comedy, series etc etc.dND said:
Thanks Daisy, but that wouldn't work for me. I would find all the envelopes depressing; I find that the illustrations on the cases are what trigger the memories of the music/film. I guess I have a very tactile and visual memory - words on a page do very little for me.daisy_1571 said:Dnd I took all my cds and dvds out the folders and keep them now in paper envelopes, takes up so much less space. I write a number on the envelope, log them in a spreadsheet so I can easily find what I'm looking for. Through logging them I found i had some duplicates i wasnt aware of. The envelope system also saves the whole reshuffling everything down a shelf when buying a new cd and it doesn't fit beside its alphabetical mates or genre mates depending how you store your cds.
Dxx
I do have the DVDs on a database for quick checking and to enable me to have them in alphabetical order and have a database for World/Folk/Popular CDs with a single artiste. I started a database for the classical CDs but it became rather complicated as one CD might contain multiple composers with multiple pieces of music.
For the classical CDs I pick out the single composer ones and have those alphabetically, the rest are batched in themes such as guitar music/medieval music/Christmas music etc., etc.. I think I counted over 1200 CDs when I packed them. 🤣
I've really enjoyed getting them accessible again and being able to start listening to them again. 😁 Dxx
Unlike you I find the envelopes efficient therefore pleasing, but I totally understand how they wouldn't sit well with you. As my grandma used to say, wouldn't do if we were all the same, everyone would have wanted to marry your granda!

Wednesday is a bright, crisp sunny day but feels very cold (SE wind) despite the forecast high of 9°C, low of 1°C I managed to get up in the morning…. just 11:55 😉 DH & DSis have been up for a while as they have appointments at the dentist. DH filled the bird fillers before they left. There was a system update on my iPad overnight & I am struggling to get used to the new look ☹️ I have had a play around with the settings but no luck so far 🙁 I just don’t understand why ‘they’ feel the need to mess around with the graphics 😖
Yippee, I am starting cheerleading from posts dated the 12th 🙂 & still writing in the present tense (mostly)
Liverpool_Anne, no such thing as a terrible decluttering day especially when you have cleaned the kitchen & done some washing 👏
vulpix, sorry to hear that one of your knees is causing so much pain 😣 Please see the GP 🙏
daisy_1571, interesting post about CD/DVD storage/dispoasal 🙂
Beautiful sentiments London_1 & so kind of you to share both the sentiments & your memories 🥹 Hopefully your “bit of a sniffle” doesn’t turn into a full blown cold 🙏 That jigsaw puzzle sounds quite frustrating, good luck completing it 🍀 Sounds like the knitting is a welcome change 😊 I do hope Monday wasn’t too cold & you managed to get to the U3A games afternoon, suitably wrapped up🤞
2Scratters, fingers crossed the heater arrives soon 🤞
Excellent decluttering oceandreamer 👏 especially the tupperware type boxes 🥳 This “I always thought I had no storage in my house and that was why it was in the state it was. I've realised that that is definitely not true it's just how disorganised I am.” sounds strangely familiar 😞 although looking on the bright side when you suddenly discover a solution it is immensely satisfying 😊 Hopefully you can find time during the coming week to move items to their final destination whether it be the Tip or a CS 🤞 Good luck with the listings& selling 🍀
grandmanerd, sorry to hear that your Sunday ended so badly 😞 Although hopefully you are at the start of a better sleeping pattern 🤞Keeping everything crossed that Monday was a better day 🤞
Green_hopeful, well done on getting the Christmas decorations into the garage & getting the curtains finished 👏 I had to look up “chimney sheep” as I had no idea what it was 🧐 What a great idea & how talented you are making one 👏☺️
charlies_tribe, I will keep my fingers crossed that you can declutter the DVDs in the not too distant future 🤞Good luck getting DD2’s photo sorted 🍀 I am way behind the times as I didn’t realise one needed photo ID for a bank account 😧
Another page caught up 🙂 I hope everyone is having as good a day as possible & managing to stay warm especially if you need to go out 🤞 I will see you later 👋
