Sunday is another cloudy day with the occasional burst of sunshine & a forecast high of 22°C, low of 12°C & an S wind making it feel 2°cooler. Last night I finally watched GBBO - I miss Prue 😉 Then tried to find GBBO: An Extra Slice 🤔 No joy but did find Second Helpings - yikes it was so, so boring 😑 🥱 I doubt I will be watching it again.
I sidetracked DH’s plans for starting to clear the garage as I managed to damage a kitchen cupboard by accidentally pulling off the bottom dado rail 😞 He did a professional job adding dowels etc before firmly reattaching it 👏 Dinner was chicken fried in a little oil, boiled new potatoes, carrots & peas. Wudupa. DSis & I watched The Great Celebrity Pottery Throw Down - we love Raku week ☺️
1616 - 1622 Kitchen recycling, plastic bottle, glass jar, 2 magazines, drinks cans, cardboard box - recycled
1623 - 1626 Kitchen & lr detritus, unusable No More Nails, non-recyclable plastic container - binned
vulpix, lovely that idea that you have two hobbies tied to yarn ☺️ Excellent & eclectic work 👏 I had to look up “Canadian butter box” - attractive boxes 😍 although there was a rather grim story about their usage 😱 Fingers crossed you get the quilt completed 🤞
Green_hopeful, gorgeous robin 😍 did it serenade you as well as keeping you company?
QueenJess, sounds absolutely horrendous 🤢 Very sorry to hear that the tablet you took has made you so unwell 🙂↔️ Hopefully that will stop very soon & you can find time to have a couple of short naps in between all the washing 🙏
Sleep tight 😴

Lovey artwork @Deb4. Pottering has produced some results just by tackling a couple of sections of my bedroom wardrobe. (Far too big for my small collection of clothes so used for other general storage). Thursday is quiz day and I park near the Hospice CS so I now have a bag full to drop off. I have one box of files for the very limited paperwork I keep in paper form. It fits neatly in that wardrobe with space for a few spare files and empty plastic wallets alongside. When it gets crowded I go through and reduce contents - I did this today and filed new stuff and shredded old.
It was definitely cold today as Sox settled in his beehive bed by a radiator and has not emerged for 5 hours. No doubt that means he will go out hunting tonight and will not want to come in. Waiting to see if DGCs walk home today or if I get a message at 3.30 to pick them up.
947 Filing box culled and new stuff filed away
948 Banking done
949 Shredding done
950-954 Five jigsaws to CS bag
955-956 Two unused frames to CS bag
957 Second beach bag to CS bag
958 Medicines box sorted and tidied
959 Selection of OOD items emptied and containers recycled
960 Odd sock I have been moving around for at least a month binned.

Deb4 - lovely work. I don't do diamond art but have a friend who does. Your picture made me look online for Christian kits. I found a blue one which would be lovely in the guest bedroom. I may ask my friend if she would do it for me.
I had another bad night - stayed late in bed.
I went to local Asd. to see if they had a local paper - they didn't - it comes out on Friday but I hadn't been out.
I got a paper in town and birthday cards. Then I got a bus to Lid. - I had a £5 off a £30 shop. I don't usually spend that much but stocked up - my trolley was full and I had to carry some bits in a bag.
Had a family visit this afternoon. - dil and 2 grandchildren. Grandson sorted out the upstairs tv and then did the downstairs one. I wasn't signed in to channels.
I finished another pair of crochet mitts. I am on the last pair now.
The afternoon brought rain.

@Deb4 lovely, another fab creative person.
I've started pottery after 30 years so back being a beginner!
Changed my summer to early winter duvet 10tog but have a 12.5 and 15 tog as well So 3 warm ones for dd2, me and a guest as needed. 2 duvets to go to donation hub which is taking beddinf again so hope to drop off tomorrow. I have some empty storage bags and debating if the boxes or the bags are best to use. The boxes are fabric ones which fold down but easier to stack. I will see when i've decluttered more
Been out all day so only a few papers out today.

Suffolksue, hahaha. I once also had, oh and I need a certain size loaf tin which I didn't own along with the ingredients I didn't have! Bless him.
Deb4, That's very festive and effective.
I think I am pining for something ( probs chips) just got no oomph. Still not finished weeding the front garden. Baby chickweed everywhere. Perhaps tomorrow after fat club. I did rehome the contents of a banana box of garden stuff which Mt V found in a tidy of the shed. Just a garden umbrella for the tip. Previous persons property. It is ripped and no base. I think we are coming to the end of the previous house owners useless stuff she left behind.
I have acquired a wooden fire surround. It will be re modelled and become a mantel when we have the new fire in the sitting room. My friend was admiring the furniture and ornaments etc yesterday. Most was free and everything but a vase and a decorative box were bought second hand.

Hello from the hot zone. Down to 27c today but going back up to 36C! by Wednesday and doesn't come back down below 35C until I go in for my back surgery. I do hope I end up in a convalescent center for a couple of weeks just to have the air conditioning.
Not getting too much done here. Trying to clean house before I have surgery but not going to happen as roommates are not cooperating at all. Two are moving out -1 for sure, 1 not for sure- he hasn't really met the woman yet. This is the "love of his life" number twelve in the last year or so. Our car is not working and the young man fixing it can't coordinate his schedule with mine. So am having to take buses everywhere. Taking forever. Today I went to class then to the library for a meeting and then home and was gone from 7:30 am to 4 pm. Did read a book while waiting for the buses. Computer also died so adjusting to a laptop. But not connected to printer yet.
Another reason to go to convalescent center - I would starve to death if I had to rely on said roommates. Also, they said I need a clean environment, cat free for at least the first twelve days. Not happening here. Not only that but I will need to get a new mattress. Cat has helped with decluttering by peeing on his half of the bed. Mattress is 64 years old (bought in 1962) so I do think a new one has been in order for some time. But I'm not sure about a foam mattress. Need a firm one. Not sure how healthy foam is anyway. Do need to order it soon. That will require a lot of room cleaning. Did get summer and winter clothes sorted this last weekend. Can't put away the summer wardrobe any time. I bought a lot of jumpers when I traveled, and I'd love to wear them. Hope we get winter this year.

@weenancyinAmerica hope.its good news about 1 maybe 2 flatmates moving out.
I hope you get convalescent for a couple of weeks , if they know the home situation surely they will.
Mattresses are so.difficult. can you get one with say 100 day trial? I had to send a couple.back which had girls or animals names.

Florenceem, good luck with DiL’s repairs/alterations 🍀
Yorkie1, great use of your free electricity 👏 Good luck dealing with the paperwork mountain 🍀
GrannyKate, I have to disagree with your comment “Not much useful done today….” as I think having a “long nana nap” is very useful 😉

Good Morning All,
Yesterday:
Completed ethics course - so got my re-accreditation completed and submitted. Huge weight off my shoulders. 💃
Gave my stick hoover a thorough clean and got it working again.
Dismantled the wooden garden table top that I "wombled" and gave it a good scrubbing. Hard work but pleased with the outcome - the "gunk" that came off it was a sight to behold!!
I'm working today but only a few clients. Plan is to catch up on some more work admin - two small frogs in that list.
@weenancyinAmerica - Praying that convalescence centre comes through 🙏
@MrsSD - thank you for my medal - I shall add it to my collection 🤩
