Hi all,
Been AWOL for a bit, sadly my cousin passed away quite unexpectedly.
She is or was should I say 48 with 5 kids so we've had a lot to be dealing with.
Funeral is Monday 12th October so I've taken some time off work, not sure how the family are going to be so need to be more available than I could be if I was working.
I've tried to read through but lots to catch up on.
Hugs to those who need them.

@Miss_BaLu gosh, sorry to hear that. Sounds stressful. Don't forget to also look after yourself.
I easily met my 10 item target today by finding a good use for some of the 100 odd one-use glasses wipes my parents insisted I needed and I am trying to use up over time (I am more than happy with my cloth and spray…). I used them to scrub every single screen and keyboard I could find in the house, so I now have gleaming devices. I then used a few more to clean some glasses.
I also managed to eject another cookbook, although it's getting hard now. I have 27 cookbooks left.. This might be a very long task as for some of the books I just need to use them for a while to see if I like them or just like the odd recipe that I can copy out and get rid of the book. From the look of the shelves though, I've about halved my cookbooks this year.

Sad news @Miss_BaLu - condolences to your family. Not done much useful but did manage to dispatch DGD4 to school with everything needed for cookery - I bought a couple of larger square cliptop storage boxes which you can fit ingredients in and which are suitable to carry liquids home. DGS4 is doing fruit salad on Friday so I had to get ingredients for that as well. The decorator is here so not much opportunity for decluttering as I will be in his way. I have written my quiz questions for tomorrow.

Miss_BaLu - condolences on your loss.
QueenJess - wow you did have a lot of cookbooks. Still have compared to mine.
I thought that I would easily be done with crochet mitts yesterday but I found that one of the granny squares was unravelling in the third round. So I had to unpick where I had sewn squares together and then unravel back to the problem. Never had that issue before.
The saga of my front door continues - when I went to unlock this morning - I couldn't open the door. Fortunately young J was coming - he arrived and I shouted through the letterbox - he had to really put his shoulder against it. This morning the door opening was much worse. I had an idea and sprayed lubricant spray on where it was sticking on the porch paintwork. This is a new sticking spot as previously - it was the side edge of the door.
I had a message from the new window cleaner - he is coming today - could I make sure the side gate was open. I opened it and moved the dumped bike out to the front of the house so he could get down the alley easily with ladders.
J fitted the door furniture and then put 2 coats of white emulsion on the plywood that J the builder used to line my summer house.
Wet here.

@Miss_BaLu - that is such sad news - I am sorry for your loss 💐
Yesterday: Saw my clients then went up to hospital to visit an elderly church friend. His wife was there and seemed understandably so worried (she's normally incredibly stoic). I came away with a deep sadness in my heart. Consequently, I wasn't much in the frame of mind to do admin when I got back - so I didn't manage to get my admin frogs done yesterday but pleased to report I did them this morning instead - huge relief to get them out of the way. One of the tasks was to re-write my professional bio and i swear I cringed the whole time I was writing it - marketing is NOT my strong suit.
Returned upholstery cleaner to neighbour.
Bin day today - 3 full wheelie bins out.
Started mending the fence at the back of the garden - hope to do more today now its stopped raining … One more client to coach in a couple of hours then out this evening to Home Group.

Yikes - dare I ask how many you have?
I think my main problem is I love to make different cake recipes all the time because I base them on whatever I have in and whatever needs to be used up. I also love different bread recipes and I do love an old style recipe bake. This basically explains all the cookbooks I have!
I think I just need to start using the books more and hopefully that will help me decide. I'm sure there's a lot of overlap between them.
