Yesterday got home from the lunch time dog walk and there was a Virgin salesman at the door.
He was going over all these offers and figures and asking me my phone number and the next thing I know I'm getting an email and SMS from BT to say sorry you're leaving.
In amongst all of this he was playing with the dogs and I said about 4 or 5 times don't whistle at the dog or bend down to her because she will jump and head butt you. Well low and behold he didn't listen and yep he got head butted, had the teeniest wee cut on his chin.
Then he was like oh that was totally my fault, well yeah of course it was.
Had to come in and call BT who then offered me a deal to stay so had to then call Virgin and cancel the order.
What a pain honestly. Feel like I've now wasted half the day sorting this all out.
In future if anyone comes to the door I do not live here.

More stuff found in the back garden taken to the tip. Fire grate and other random metal bits.
Mr V's leg is not better, yet. It is improving with more antibiotics, but very slowly.
Only 3 more days of heatwave for us to endure. Thank goodness. There was a fire here last week. Very quickly brought under control by the fire brigade and lots of local people and farmers.

Hi all, goodish day yesterday 11 planters washed and rehomed, 1 planter binned, a length of pipe insulation tube binned, various bits of ribbon binned, some flower arranging / wreath making things binned, lots of packaging binned / recycled, lots of dust decluttered and dust rag binned.
I found a candle holder thing so tested that out last night and 5 candles uu 😂. 2 plant pots into the boot for the next time I see my ex colleague 😁 .The kitchen bin and recycling were emptied.
I feel I am beginning to see the wood for the trees in half of the conservatory now though I am still a bit amazed at some of the things I am finding which must have been kept for some reason I can't fathom now 😂. I am hoping this is a change in mindset for me from " I can take that into school, it will be useful for something" to " I will not use that so get rid" 😂. Hopefully today will be more of the same although I do have to pop out to collect my meds so I better get a shift in 😂.
@Vulpix nice to see you back, sorry to hear Mr V is still suffering, big hugs and take care of yourself.
Hugs to everyone who would like one.

Take care everyone

@Miss_BaLu if I get anyone trying to sell at my door I just say "I don't do business on my doorstep" and shut the door.

@vulpix - Sorry to hear Mr V still not better. I need to start clearing out and will definitely have a dump run to do sometime soon.
@Liverpool_Anne - Well done on the decluttering, I've got SO many candles to use up. I'm going to get my house looking all lovely the start burning them daily. It makes the place feel so cosy when there is a candle burning.
@Floss - See I need to be more like you, would have saved me a lot of hassle yesterday that's for sure.

Sold an empty bbq gas cylinder. We seem to have quite a few so i thought i should rehome one. My husband said it doesn’t fit our bbq so i popped it on eBay and got £20 (minus the fees they say we don’t pay). The lady was super pleased and its one more thing from the garage of doom. I am thinking of renaming it the garage of half doom because it is only half full of doom now.

I add in chunks of courgette, baby plum tomatoes, wedges of onion, mushrooms to the same bag as and when I have them and need to tidy or bin. They rarely freeze together so you can pick out what you like. Mostly I use them for roasting which works a treat from frozen - about 25 minutes at 180c with a bit of olive oil and herbs.
@suzeesu2000 - the fire is less than 10 miles from us (Northbourne) but the winds are blowing the smoke away. I assume it's not effecting Bournemouth airport but there are lots of reports of idiots driving on the A31 ignoring lane closures.

@Green_hopeful - Excellent it's better to have the cash rather than the clutter.
@Brie - These fires are very scary aren't they.

The curtain poles were retrieved and are in the skip. All drawers in the garage have been sorted and items removed. Just one shelf to go that I can't currently reach.

@Willowtree222 - Yay!!
So in between meetings I managed to clean the kitchen. All the counter tops are clear - I can't actually believe it - I am so bad for cluttering the place up. Determined to keep it that way.
Dinner for me and the nephew is in the oven then I need to get all the throws off the couch and replace them cos that is where he will be sleeping tonight, don't have a spare room.
