i have been working on the garage of doom again. Kids high chair to a charity shop along with some random gifts we didn’t want. Wood to the tip. Coffee table to the homeless charity. Dining table and chairs to the shed ready for the homeless charity when they have space. Gave them a notice board and plastic carpet protector while they were here.
On Friday my little cat decluttered her fourth set of tumours. She has had breast cancer for a few years. I didn’t know it was a thing but it certainly is. My vet is lovely so we had a nice chat. I decluttered £550 for the op but £155 was to get the tumour typed because breast cancer in cats is usually super aggressive and we have been living with it for a few years. I think if we knew the type we might make different decisions for the next tumours. She has a padded collar which is very cute. Here she is sunbathing in the garden.22 -
Well done @QueenJess Hopefullly DS's enthusiasm will last, too
Waving at you from another part of this Ouse, @florianatwobob
Hugs to your cat @Green_hopeful
Managed to do a couple of frogs yesterday. We have two charities associated with church, and I do the admin for them. They're not particularly hard work, but I do update the accounts (small income, grants made out) and annual reports each year and do the Charity Commission annual update for each. Got all that done last night.
With one of the charities, I've said for a while that we need a trustee conflicts of interest document (mainly to manage the Vicar, who is keen to suggest people who would have a CoF!). So I drafted a paper as well yesterday, and have sent it to the Vicar and a longstanding trustee, for them to consider on their return from holiday and before we arrange a meeting later in September.

@vulpix - So sorry to hear about Fomo. They do become our best friends, don't they. Sending you lots of hugs.

green hopeful, the collar looks so much more comfortable than the cones I used to have to use for dogs - I know I would feel claustrophobic with a cone over my head and face and hated putting them on the dogs.
Day to day admin, housework etc done today. No decluttering as such however have made a list of frogs which are only quick little jobs but when I have a few minutes to spare I don’t remember them so hopefully having a separate list will get more of them done.20 -
Decluttered a full wheely bin of recycling plus another big box full and an empty box.
Decluttered a few jobs off my “To Do” list including cleaning the entire cooker, good Heavens, I had forgotten it was so bright when clean 🫢 plus the kitchen floor thought it had a birthday as that got a thoroughly good moping too.
Annual safety check on gas boiler done plus testing of carbon monoxide monitor and smoke detectors.
The best bit ever…..We’re going to have a new kitchen! I am so excited, I’ve never had a brand new kitchen before. Got someone coming tomorrow to go through some bits and bobs….i apologise now cos I am going to bore the pants off everyone with this. It’s silly how happy I am over it. On the plus side I am going to have to move every single thing so will be a great opportunity to have a jolly good declutter.
Have a good sleep all, sweet dreams xx

Monday: I managed 4.5 hours sleep before deciding to get up. It is a hot sunny day with a high of 31°C, low 17°C & a light ESE wind. Surprise phone call from DH at 12:45. He was 350 miles from home & was having lunch in the railway carriage at Bassenthwaite Lake Station. A pleasant day’s riding as temperatures are in the low 20’s. I have dealt with today’s mail - filing, recycling & shredding Nothing else done apart from clearing recorded programmes. DH phoned again 17:30 from his room. He has had a good day - got his landmarks & was about to shower then have dinner & meet a couple of friends. DSis had corned beef & chips for dinner whilst I had salad again. Wudupa

QueenJess, no need to ”sneak back” onto the train 😉 Very impressed that you were so successful with lowering your internet usage for an entire month 🤩 A phenomenal amount of decluttering & you are so organised in your approach 👏 The fact that the only Room of Doom is your DS’s room is a testament to your continuing success in decluttering ☺️👏 Good luck in your continuing quest to persuade/encourage DS to declutter and to tidy up 🍀 I see that your DD is still decluttering 👏
suzeesu2000, relieved to hear that your DH has recovered from his fall 😮💨 Well done on getting all the photos framed & put up 👏 Good luck sorting your pantry shelves & using up stock & cleaning your cooker 🍀

Morning all. A positive start to the day as I checked my NSI account and I had won two prizes £100 plus £50 after nothing for the last 14 months. Spent more money on plants yesterday but need to stop now as I have filled the pots I already had. Not much to report in - I have an early hair appointment today then a family history meeting. I have to sort out a plan of work for DGS3 as I gave him money for shoes upfront yesterday. There are several jobs he can assist with now it is cooler. Lovely picture @florianatwobob

781 Quiz questions written for Thursday - I must remember to take the bag for hospice cs as it is nearby
Found another before picture for my side garden from when I bought the bungalow. Added another from this week. I have some moss and lichen killer to paint on the squares which power washer did not fully clean. I can't use the power washer now due to hose pipe ban.
