oh @Florenceem, all those wonderful memories you will have. Sending a hug as I know you will feel sad.
I had a sad too today. With all the excitement of the new kitchen it hit again. The first person I would have told and excitedly chatted about it with, is mum and she isn’t here now. Even DH noted it. I’m sure she will be watching it all and making sure it’s done properly!
Some places on the island had rain today! The Tesco lady said she had to put windscreen wipers on when she was in Ryde but not for very long, DH was at his club up the road and he said we had about 3 tablespoons full but, at our house, nothing, not a drop. And it’s Blimming hot again.
Starting a big sort out of the pantry shelves tomorrow, taking it slow. DH said there are things we will never use so best to either donate or get rid.
Have a good night all, sweet dreams xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

I had to use an umbrella in York today. Quite a surprise as I was sat outside the Merchant Adventurers Hall eating my cheese scone and drinking my tea!

Yes indeed! Were you still here for the thunderstorm at about 430pm?

It rained in Cowes for 3 mins @SuzieSue . It's the big moments when you miss yourum. I cried when my 6th gc was born because Mum would never meet her. Not much decluttering today for me. Singing this morning and emails this afternoon. Off into cowes in a minute to watch an ABNA tribute band at Cowes week.

Pathetic. A few rumbles around the west and then north of the city. No lightning (it was sunny where I was) or rain!! 😂

Rain in the North West but no thunder or lightening. Where I am, anyway.

Came home yesterday to see a mobile car wash company detailing our neighbor's car. Asked what it would cost to do just the outside of my car - and it was less than going to the car wash. My car is now clean for the first time in a couple of years! I have also deleted 350 emails this week, have another bag of books to go to the library tomorrow and have made inroads on the living room. It doesn't look like it though. A lot more to go. Neighbor across the street came over and cut the weeds down in front. One was as tall as me. I was going to go out and tie flowers to them and claim they were hollyhocks they were so high. Supposed to be getting help later this week to clean up the back garden so we can actually get in there and use it. Still reading a mystery book a day (now on day 58). This Saturday is my birthday (79). Will be celebrating with my two sisters on Friday and with the Friends of the Library group on Saturday. I may also go out Saturday or Sunday with roommates. Keeping busy. Weather is nicer today. Not expecting rain here until November. Still trying to do three froglettes a day from my list of to-dos. Sending hugs to everyone.

@weenancyinAmerica happy birthday for Saturday and so lovely to hear you have celebrations lined up!
Met a friend in town and took the opportunity to return laptop, charger and pass for secondary part of job I now longer have and 3 library books for library nowhere near me and therefore fines so counting in my outs.
Yet another reminder of my level of chaos ,( yes I have done lots- I can hear Mrs SD's encouragement) as I listed an item for sale a day or two ago taking photos, now sold but I can't find even after turning the house upside down.
Tomorrow at home til late pm so going to write a list of chores and frogs which are now urgent

Also.on Friday Izt charity came , wouldn't take printers but took 3 tablets and some cables so 1296.
Aiming for 29 between now and end of the weekend. Hoping this is doable!
Lovely to see people return and glad others taking time to lurk or chill in the tlc carriage !

I continue to be (hyper) focussed on the garden. I have bought myself a rake and have now discovered that the path at the back of the garden is 2 paving stones wide. I literally did not know there was a path there at all! Slowly chipping away at it. Still covered in bites & scratches - managed to get an ant sting on the ear!!
Yesterday dropped off a bag a CS then bought a few plants that were on offer at B&Q.
Today - In amongst working - Kitchen man came to measure up (@SusieSu I'm very excited about my "new" kitchen too!) Started putting together a wooden cabinet ordered for the long handled tools - DS has promised to help me finish it off tomorrow. Oh and I painted a bird-house that DS made for me!
I'm exhausted now so off to bed. Sending love to all. 💕
