Last night I decided to try and declutter the room of doom again.. it took an hour to go from this
To this..
Doesn't look like much but I managed a black bag of rubbish and I had to stop before I passed out from the heat 😂😂
My future plans are to get rid of the glass unit as i dont use it and get a nice unit on the left hand side with storage so I can out things away out of sight.

Monday continued: DH helped get all the now dried washing off the whirligig & replaced with my motorcycle trousers which I will leave out overnight. DH also helped me sort out various cables & ‘toot’ that came out of the sideboard & had been dumped in a crate. Most of it has been consigned to the Tip pile & the crate is empty 🥳 I have also put the armour back in my motorcycle jacket which is now put away in the under-stairs cupboard 😊 Laundry now folded but have 2 items to repair before putting everything away……..Both items now repaired. Dinner tonight is Bolognaise sauce (from the freezer) with conchiglie from the pantry. Wudupa

Emails down from 228 to 213. Garden waste bin now full - will need to ask neighbour to put it out for me (it has a load of their trimmings in too) as it’s too heavy for me. Reading pile gradually reducing.
Need to do some filing today plus more paper tidying. I have mislaid some info relating to home sale and need to find it for solicitors asap so it’s a good incentive to clear as I search.

Morning all. Still just pottering in the heat so not much meaningful being achieved. Nice trip out yesterday to local church (Redbourne) which has amazing Georgian enamelled glass windows. Really good local history displays and information within from the villagers mostly I think. Volunteers keep it open regularly although now in care of Church's Conservation Trust. Grade 1 listed.
Small jobs done
706 Winter fuel form submitted - they paid it last year and I had to pay it back through tax so opted out now
707 Cat fountain cleaned and filters changed - spare filters ordered as run out now
708 Pool filters ordered
709 Photos all downloaded to date
Will try and clear a few more shrubs to fill the bin up as it is not collected until the afternoon. Otherwise only a school run today. Picture below of church window.

There is something do magical about church stained glass windows.
Gifts delivered to school, phew!
Whilst getting out the paperwork I need for school, I saw some paperwork that was years old, so suitably destroyed. The cupboard of doom is managing to stay not doom like!

Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x20 -
The church windows were enamelled glass which the Georgians favoured but which the Victorians mostly removed and replaced with stained glass. The Duke of St Albans lived at the Hall and married the widow of the founder of Coutts bank (an actress born into poverty in Cork) who seems to have put money into the church.
I have been virtuous and sat at my desk dealing with small frogs etc. I have ruled out gardening as I woke up with sore and wobbly knee. Think I must have just slept awkwardly. I am going down to Mr A to get a few snacks bits as children will be here after school this week although DS2 should be doing meals. I also need money to pay builders once they have finished although not here yet today. They are waiting for hardcore delivery before they can do anything more next door. I did manage to get into NS&I which blamed my phone for the problem (same one I have had for all the other log-ins this year!) I completed the transaction but no idea if it happened as no confirmation and it threw me out again. I will wait and see.
710 Manky fruit bowl emptied - I cut up apples for birds - put on front lawn & hope Sox leaves them alone
711 Papers related to last week's long delayed frog finished off and sent to be put on website
712 Lots of emails answered - in box empty for about 5 minutes
713 Saved and archived emails cleared out, some archive folders deleted, at least 500 emails gone
714 Updated and filed U3A stuff including updating website for group which I run (Family History)
Right off to shops - have a good day all - thankfully cooler here.

@BlueJ94 - great progress!! I love the look of the plants and plant related things in the window. And if it's the mini greenhouse you're getting rid - well I nearly had my hand bitten off when I offered one on freegle and it wasn't nearly as nice as yours!!

@Yorkie1 Thanks for mentioning quizzy Mondays, I hadn't noticed Only Connect was back on (I watch on iplayer, but it hadn't told me)!
Mum told me Sewing Bee is back on tonight, but she videos it (well, saves to a box of some kind) and I watch on iplayer, so we have to make sure we don't accidentally let on who's gone out, as neither watch it live so it can be completely out of sync..
@Florenceem I sometimes do a screenshot of a photo to reduce its (megabyte) size. On my phone its just 3 fingers swiped down, but yours may be different.

@moginstein yes, Sewing Bee too. I shall have to video that (to a box too!) as well 😁
I'm no better at decluttering video recordings than I am at decluttering things in the house haha 😂
