Thanks for good wishes and encouragement for my retreat. It was lovely - it was just a day-retreat but it has an incredible effect on me. Within minutes of being there I started to really relax to the point where I thought I was going to drop off to sleep. In fact I left slightly early as I wanted to go home to have a lovely doze in the garden.
I am off the whole of this week and have very little planned. I've put a hour or two aside every day to catch up with work admin - I'm very behind but breaking it in to bite sized chunks makes it feel less daunting.

Thanks, @vulpix - I have discovered, though, that I've mainly bought work clothes… I need some casual clothes, especially now it's the summer hols! I bought a swimsuit yesterday (M@talan) ready for hols but need jeans - I'm not sure what size or style to go for, though - so need to do some in-shop shopping!
Not much has left today, but I have listed 8 items on V1nted and started another book :D
Lovely looking gifts, @Willowtree222

Hi all, good and bad decluttering days. Saturday I went to see friend's son B but on the way out I emptied the bathroom bin and the bedroom recycling 😁. Got totally overheated in the car so was like a wet dish rag when I arrived, picked up some iced coffee near B's so was planning a sit in the shade to cool down but B was in a bit of a flap about his meds. His brother had been early to take him shopping and was supposed to sort them but said "Anne can do that when she gets here". Don't you just love a caring family member. B was confused about his meds and so was I to be honest as he had said he was going to miss one evening as he had accidentally taken 2 Lots but it turns out he didn't do that so then he wanted to miss Saturday night but I said no it's too late to do that now so had to juggle around to sort them. Luckily he has spares in the safe where his mum keeps them but he doesn't have the code for the safe as he had tried to take his own life twice before and the drugs are a risk factor so he's only allowed access to 2 days at the most. . He was also upset because his brother had rushed him round the sm and he had forgotten something. I offered to take him but he said no. Also had to get his smart phone out of the safe, he has a habit of buying things online on impulse and hasn't really got the money to pay for it so friend ends up subbing him. He has a basic phone he can use to text and make calls but no internet connection. He's allowed to use his smart phone when someone else is in the house with him, not that that is any guarantee he won't buy something as he could have all kinds in his basket and just go on and press buy but there is only so much supervising you can do of a grown man who has previously lived independently. We did manage a nice lunch out and then B needed a nap, his sleep pattern is very erratic, but he was fine after that and we had a little potter around in the garden before I came away about 8 . I called in at the sm on the way home for bits but got home in time for the footy 😂.
Yesterday I was like a sloth all day, no energy for anything, had to force myself to get off the couch to water the plants about 9 and that was all I did apart from watch some stuff on the planner.
Today I did get going. Sorted the post first thing, only seems to be delivered once a week all in one lump, so the bedroom recycling was emptied again along with the bedroom bin. Kitchen bin and kitchen recycling also emptied and then I got some more stuff out of the conservatory. Bag of decorating stuff which had 2 dust sheets and an empty bottle of brush cleaner. Bottle washed and recycled, dust sheets put in the line and hosed down to get the dust off, bag binned as it was wrecked along with another 3 bags equally wrecked. Sleeping bag thrown over the line and hosed down, 2 laundry bags hosed down, 3 buckets emptied of various bits of gubbins which were binned, 2 empty fabric softener bottles that OH likes to collect for some reason washed and recycled, chipped planter binned and 2 jam jars passed to ln for the jam maker she knows. I was in a proper lather by then so settled for some coffee over the fence with ln under the brolley 😂. The dust sheets and sleeping bag are still on the line, the sleeping bag will have to be washed properly so that will join the bags on the landing tomorrow.
OH phoned to report on B after tea, another panic as B had somehow got his basic phone wet so OH had to take him to the phone shop to get a new one. OH suspects it might be a ploy to get unlimited access to his smart phone but he's out of luck in that one 😂. Also B had been on the phone talking to his brother and told him I would take him shopping on Saturday so it seems I am back on duty in Saturday 😂. Luckily he's going to stay with his aunt and uncle from tomorrow until Friday and his Mum is back on Sunday after, hopefully, a restorative holiday 😁. His Mum really could do with some proper regular respite but honestly there just isn't anything out there unless you have lots of money to pay for it and being retired she doesn't even get a carers allowance.
@Vulpix hope Mr V is recovered ok. I am prone to falling over when I am tired and lose concentration but luckily I have enough padding to help me bounce 😁.
Right time for bed, hugs to anybody who would like one
1026/2026 over half way now, just got to keep at it 😂
Take care everyone

@vulpix - Sending hugs to you and Mr. V. Hoping he is feeling better after the fall. Usually takes me several days to recover my equilibrium after a fall.
