GrannyKate I have some advice for you. I had a similar problem with my toilet slowly, and invisibly leaking. The plumber who fixed it gave me a tip. Contact your water company and claim a refund for the lost water! We got about £80 back for several months trickle.

Have decluttered 3 overly ripe bananas that were in the freezer and made banana oatmeal muffins and mini loaves. I will declutter a couple in the direction of a friend, hopefully tomorrow. Also have a spatchcock poussin that was YS come out of the freezer for dinner this evening to have along with a butternut squash that has been sitting about for a while. the squash will be roasted then stuffed with spinach and feta before popping it under the grill.

I will look into that as I did see something similar @Greenqueen_2. I eventually got dressed and went to hairdresser and co-op. I had to abandon walk in the woods plan as its tipping it down here and cold. I did do a 'keep fit workout' for 15 minutes from utube. @Vulpix - thanks for your ideas - I do eat a lot of home made soup and had just taken some out of the freezer for lunch tomorrow. Hake in cooking at the moment and I have some frozen veg ready. I got fruit and Greek yogurt for afters.

Forgot to post this 😬
Friday continued: not raining when I left the house at 12:20 to get the bus to DLR station. Changed to Central Line & arrived in East Acton as the heavens opened 🌧️ Despite wearing the RAF Jeltex jacket I was soaked from the feet up + hair had an extra rinse 😉 by the time I arrived at the dentist. New hygienist who is very chirpy 😊 followed by the dentist who did extract the very loose tooth. Numbing injection was painful & the extraction was very quick. The only real pain was paying 😣 good job I have an NHS dentist although the hygienist is private. The rain had stopped by the time I left & reversed my journey. Unfortunately the bus was rerouted for some reason so had a 15 minute walk home just as it started drizzling. Indoors by 16:30. Updated accounts. Dinner was a mixed bag - prawns in batter for DSis, DH had antelope burgers & oven chips whilst I finished off the hm soup & had a piece of antelope burger which was very dry. Wudupa

Energy shifter, what a jolly colour. I has very similar but not F&B on my stairs at a previous house. I had decided to do something similar at this house. Will be ages before the stairs are decorated. What a lovely cousin you have.
Haha Florenceem, Mr V doesn't say innit, thank goodness.
Mrs SD, my toes are curling just reading about your dentist injection. I would like to award you a medal for bravery.🎖️
It is lashing against the windows here. We are off out soon to do a quiz. Hope it eases off a bit whilst Mr V gets all the gear inside.

Saturday started dry but about 11:30 the rain started & hasn’t really stopped since. High of 16°C, low of 7°C & a strong SSW wind making it feel 6° colder. DH went out in the pouring rain as he had booked a flu jab. Issues with the buses, then they tried to charge him for the flu jab 😞 All sorted eventually with no charge. The EDT is speeding along again & that combined with my general lethargy means I have fallen behind ……. again. Starting the cheerleading from posts dated the 22nd:
Great cheerleading dND ☺️ Very pleased to hear that your solar panels have finally been installed 🥳 & fingers crossed that the scaffolding is taken down quickly 🤞More excellent work in the garden 👏 although a pity that you have to move the pond ☹️ Also sending out positive vibes that the electrician turns up soon ☺️
Good luck with all the WIPs Florenceem 🍀 I think granddaughter M should be asking to have a couple of sewing lessons from you just in case you are too busy to do them 😉
EnergyShifter, very pleased to hear that family therapy went so well & that you have been listened to 🥹 With all this conversation about books, I am just wondering if the younger generations are great readers or has that been superseded by social media 🤔 Hope you enjoyed your day off 😊
Stopped here to make a Bolognaise sauce. Still raining & chilly 🥶 so I have put the heating on for a while.
GrannyKate, excellent work both in the garden & the house 👏 Also a good day for creating habits re your diet & exercise ☺️ Your trip to Paris is getting close so I imagine you & DGS4 are both getting excited ☺️
TC77, how wonderful that your DD has gained a love of books now ☺️ That is one positive answer to my musings 😉
suzeesu2000, yikes to the door being open but I suppose that means there is less dust 🤨 The workmen appear to be getting on with it & the extra plywood makes the floor look better 👏 Hopefully they will continue to work hard 🤞especially as you are keeping them supplied with coffee & cake 😉 Hopefully you can have a bit of a lie in over the weekend 🤞
florianatwobob, great work with the sales 👏 just a shame that you have been messed about so much 😞 Yippee to your surprise £25 from ERNIE 🥳 helpful addition to your loft fund 😊
Now ready to start cheerleading posts dated the 23rd but first need to have dinner. I hope everyone is staying safe in the storm. See you later 👋

A dozen books to NT book shop plus a load more papers out.
Have rallied the troops for tomorrow - hoping to get what is packed out of the way so the next round of packing can begin. So pleased that a lot of decluttering has already taken place but there is still a lot of ‘stuff’ to go through. Not looking forward to tackling the ‘man drawer’ (aka the junk drawer) tomorrow. May just bung it all in a box and go through it on Monday when I will have more time.

I have had a wonderful day chums. I have been a sloth and have loved every minute of it. Usually my monthly “me” day is the 26th of each month this year but changed this month due to kitchen.
Listened to the wind and rain overnight. It was not windy when I got up but definitely picked up during the day. It’s mostly rained, proper cold winter rain too.
My day has been looking at Vinted and nabbing a few very good bargains. Got DH some CDs for £1 each off same seller so only 1 postage. Then found a battery charger which will charge my Motorola phone, very handy if the electrics go off and also £1. Found a bundle of 16 DVDs for £1. We have a cordless house phone which will not work if the power goes off so I found a corded phone plus lots of leads/scarts etc for…you guessed it £1. I felt like the campsite owner in the Carry on film when I was telling DH🤣 It was really nice just taking my time and looking at things I wouldn’t normally. That and the background noise of wind and rain, which I adore, has made a very relaxing day.
Entered lots and lots of competitions, on here too.
Hope your tooth space isn’t causing any problems for you @Mrs SD. @GrannyKate, I’m diabetic too and getting sugar down is a pain, looking forward to proper cooking facilities when the kitchen is usable again as what I’m eating now is tending to be carb heavy and that definitely puts my sugar up. Pre kitchen I was averaging 7.5, this week has been well over 9. But Rome wasn’t built in a day so don’t stress as you now know what you need to do and are doing it.Have a good night all, sweet dreams and please, if venturing out take care. xx

@GrannyKate We used to have a cat who always took great interest in what we ate.
If we had fresh crab we would have to sellotape the empty-ish shell to the kitchen lino for him to finish off otherwise he would chase it around the kitchen for hours trying to get every tiny morsel left.
Also once he seemed very keen on watching us eat rice pudding so I put a spoonful on a saucer for him. When I looked 5 minutes later he had left 2 shiny rice grains and all the liquid was gone. Such a clever boy!
Have a lovely time in France.🇨🇵
I've got drenched walking home from work the last 2 days. Trainers from yesterday still damp but dehumidifier managed to dry out uniform, outdoor jacket and most of my backpack overnight. Soon put my umbrella away today as so windy it kept blowing inside out. Not as extreme weather as some have had though 😕

Seem to be making little dent into the frogs despite moving some along, but threw out ood food x 4 , 2 cards recycled and some paper and unsubscribing. Will add 8.
