2026 DECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN Mrs SD - our Year of Redistribution

the day started with good intentions but I was side tracked in at the craft cupboard!
I did get the steps to tidy the top shelves of my wardrobes, two jumpers added to the CS bag and the jumper shelf tidied enough to add the ones in the bottom of the wardrobe and my winter heavy cardis. From the other shelve I've emptied the contents of three plastic containers into two a couple of hand bags have also been added to the CS bag.
I need to sort clothes I have far too many at so many different sizes, but it will need to be cooler so I can try stuff on. I'm sure I don't need so many black and navy trousers specially now I'm not working!

My shopping trolley is now full again for the charity shop.
Decluttered - fleece top x 2, 2 sheets, lampshade, 3 vintage striped sheets, 4 towels, flannelette sheet, 3 pairs jeans and a pair of shorts.
There was a breeze when I was out - it is still hot here.
Today's meal on my challenge to eat from stock.

Tuesday is another hot sunny day 🥵 with fluffy white clouds in a blue sky. Forecast high of 31°C, low of 19°C & a light W breeze. DH was up & dressed before 08:00 ready to let the SKY engineer in. A very pleasant gentleman F knocked on the door at 08:06 & started working. The sound of drilling woke me at 08:20* - apparently our olive tree is so big# that it was blocking the satellite signal which combined with the damaged wiring out the back of the Sky box meant no channels. *The drilling was the engineer moving the satellite dish 😉 He then repaired the wires adding new connectors & plugged in the new box. The new viewing card which was supposed to have been posted to us was not here, so he got one from his van & set it all up. Then F talked me through use of the remote control - he was very patient & I just hope I can remember everything 🤞 He was gone by 09:30. The old box has been left behind so we will add to the electricals box for the next Tip run together with both the TV & old box remotes (batteries removed) (1079 - 1081) # the olive tree is being pruned on the 16th. Now that we are all set up we need to return the furniture & contents of boxes to their original homes. Fingers crossed that I can do at least some decluttering 🤞 Instead of making a proper attempt to catch up with cheerleading, I have spent the afternoon going through a box of paperwork - reminiscing 😉 Managed to declutter 0.25” of paperwork (including transferring data from many scraps of paper & putting like with like) - all shredding (1082) & replaced with other un-filed bits so the box is full again. After I vacuumed, DH helped me move furniture back to its original locations. Dusted my pretty but very ornate magazine rack, it took forever 😞 It is being used as a shoe rack - managed to declutter one pair of shoes that no longer fit & a pair of Sunday socks (1083 - 1084)) & took 2 pairs upstairs. DH finally received the cradle for his new bike Satnav & despite telling me that he was going to fit it tomorrow he is outside doing it now 🙊 he has no patience 😉 DH dropped my DSis at her appointment & then popped into A*da for ice creams & drinks. When DSis finally got back she was exhausted as she was roasting 🥵 After sitting in front of a couple of fans to cool down, she has retired to her room. Now I will try to concentrate enough to do some cheerleading (although I confess that I am being distracted by the football 😉)
Welcome back EnergyShifter, lovely to see you again👋 Though very sorry to hear that both you & your son have had such a torrid time 😔 Condolences on the loss of Finn 🥺 However congratulations on completing your Pastoral Training 🥳 I am very impressed that despite all the upheaval you have passed & are now taking the time to consider your future 👏 We are very happy to welcome you back, after all you are still a member of our Declutterati family ☺️ Well done on not recluttering too much & watching so many different types of decluttering videos, so that you get going again 🤩 I will keep everything crossed that your DS gets a job soon🤞 Lastly, please accept some gentle cwtches for both you & your DS 🤗

Thank you for warm welcome back Mrs SD & other lovely members - it really is nice to be back.
Completed day 7 of the Minimalist game. √√√√√√√ - that's 28 items since 1st July
Bought some paint to spruce up the fireplace in my bedroom which has now become visible because I am planning to declutter the electric heater that was in front of it. It might take a while for it to leave the house completely because I normally get rid of larger items by leaving them outside the house - somehow I don't think it will be snapped up in the middle of a heatwave. ☀️

Lovely, lovely garden green hopeful. How lovely it must be to sit there.
My front garden is calling me. It is hard work as it is baked solid like concrete. We don't have a hosepipe ban but I try not to molly coddle plants once they are in the ground and established. My pots will need some water, I am not up to it tonight but tomorrow I will press on.
We have just got home from baby sitting. I am cream crackered. Get this. the hotel DIL booked last night was £3. yes £3. It was perfectly clean but I found the bed uncomfortable and a night light outside the door had me awake most of the night. The room was in a bungalow complex and had a front door with a glass fan light thing. £3 though.🤣

Lots going on with people despite the heat. Sat in shade and played board game with dd2 and then with shade arriving tackled the shed.
Out old spade, 4 unidentified items, large storage box and broom hoping people will take, somw smokeless coal offered, door to a kitchen unit to go somewhere, old plant pots, 2 footballs for donation hub, pump, lilo, v large piece of cardboard - think from kitchen unit. All tidy and dd2 bike in the shed rather than extension/family room where its been for 3 years! A couple of other bits, counting as 10 and some will be added when things actually out!
Added 3 more pillow cases to cs bag and then found 2 more duvet covers and 4 matching pillow cases in cs bag.
LLots My notebook with nos but think around 1015 and then adding recent nos 1059.
Also 2 items sold, packaging decluttered too and posted so 1063.
Dd2 wearing jeans I found her in cs £3 and when I went our with both dds dd1 wearing a cs shirt I passed on to her so good to see things used.
Dd2 tidying her room so expecting more tomorrow.
