2026 DECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN Mrs SD - our Year of Redistribution

June numbers:
I should add I finally completed a decade old frog. My metal bedstead has been squeaking for over 10 years but I'm only reminded of it when I turn over in bed and too tired then to get up and go downstairs and hunt for oil. Well I eventually remembered last month and it's made such a difference. Ridiculous that a 10 second job took that long to complete.
I have started borrowing magazines to read online from the library. This way they don't even enter my house and because I haven't paid for them I don't feel I have to hang on to them forever because I haven't read everything in them yet.

Morning all.
What I do today depends on J. If he is helping a neighbour and/or coming to me. He knows that if he comes here - I want the front paintwork done - less to do now the new garage door is there.
Continuing with my food challenge - going to cook Bird's E.. chicken fingers today.
Yesterday a car - in a nearby road hit a lamp post and ended up on it's side - often accidents there as people take the bend at a speed higher than they should.
I need to buy milk today.
I do really need to sort the rest of the airing cupboard today.
Hope everyone has a productive day.

Hi, only woke up at 10:30, a solid 12 hours sleep.
I want to crack on today, the house feels a bit neglected. 3 loads of washing done and on the line. Our bed stripped and sheets in the wash.
I have to investigate the dining room. No body goes in there much unless we have visitors. It will be different when the wall between kitchen and dining room comes down at an unspecified point in the future. There seems to be stuff on the table from when Mr V looked at all the stuff from the built in cupboards. What is making it look a worse mess in there are the bunk beds we have been given. I just need some time and inclination to sand them, paint them and put them up in the small bedroom. There are also numerous ( a lot ) bags of kindling hanging about which I have gathered up from the garden for the fire in winter.
I just seem so busy atm. I am going to not go to craft club or the charity shop for a while to see if that helps.Going to Oxfordshire for 2 days a week eats into the week but I am grateful to get to know my Grandchildren better, Only 2 more weeks to go. Dil pays for the hotel for us. We are back to the place we usually go to next week and a different place the week after. I said something similar to Mr V about the £3 room Mrs SD.There was a single bed in there, I would put it on the double and be like the princess and the pea! £3 must have been a glitch. The place was full though, it seemed like a contractors hotel,
I forgot to say I had a txt Sunday 8:30 pm asking if I wanted a cancellation appointment at the knee clinic. So I am off there tomorrow. Have to be there for 9:30. Not far in miles, perhaps 10, but a nightmare to get to in rush hour. There is an exodus from the High Peak to Manchester every day. I kid you not we will have to set off about 7:30. There is a train, but too far to walk for me from the station.
Thank you everyone for your inspiring posts and photos. Vx

@Siebrie Hugs! And so glad to hear from you again and know that in yourself you are well. Good luck with it all going through well and we'll all be here for you. <3
@Yorkie1 Very late I know but I use Tigerino which is a clumping clay based litter. I tried the wood pellets and my cats started avoiding the litter tray. 😱 The clumping works well but now my senior cat - 17 years - forgets about trays altogether at the times. I use the puppy pads and also strips of them to soak up accidents and then I use Nancy Birtwhistle's IPA kitchen spray as a disinfectant, soaking that up after a few minutes and after that it's the steamer and every so often the carpet cleaner. That's on wool carpets.
It seems it was the 21st June that I was last on the thread - I had over 300 post to catch up - and I've still got 20 pages to go so I'm going to post this and hopefully catch up tomorrow. 🤞🤞
Hugs to all who want and love to you all. Dxx

My J arrived at 10 and did the outside painting - he removed the guttering - it is in the garage. He finished at 11.30.
My sister D came to bring a bag of donations for bestie's charity shop - it was lovely to see her. D lives in this town but I hadn't see her since the COL. D has got a blue badge now - I told her to apply for attendance allowance.
I took my shopping trolley full of donations to the charity shop. Came home via Asd.
I have finished another gnome - Adrian.

Good luck at the clinic tomorrow @vulpix
Thanks for the suggestions re. cat litter etc., @dND
It was a lovely meal out yesterday evening with colleagues who I don't otherwise get to meet in person. Got home, saw Djokervic receiving medical time out in the final set of his match, decided he wasn't going to win it, and went to bed. Very pleased to hear the result when I woke up this morning 😊
Now watching Arthur Fery in his match against the #9 seed at Wimbledon. He's having an amazing tournament so far.
