@EnergyShifter welcome back and so sorry to hear about the tough time you and your son have had. Sending hugs.
I've only recognised I have adhd in later life after Dd1 diagnosed and know it makes lots of things harder but also I think brings other things which are more positive.
Please do use this group as I have found it so supportive and helped when RL is o overwhelming. I remember you counting ins and outs and I was so in awe. Remember anything out is a win and be gentle with yourself and good luck for your son with looking for a job as so tough for young people.

Made an annoying mistake a month or so back when I saw that Tesco had Cheerios on special. Nabbed a box and when I tried them they tasted wrong - turns out they are the honey version - too sweet. But I'm trying to get rid. And in putting them back in the cupboard yesterday I wondered why I wasn't sticking to muesli instead. Looked at the 2 different packs of that saw that they were both several months past their BBD. I was about to simply chuck them when I remembered all the birds in the garden. Since I buy the nut/seed versions of muesli I made the assumption that the birds might enjoy picking these over. Well looked out this morning and a magpie up to its beak pecking through. I had put them out in a plastic fruit box that was going in to the recycling. It's pretty much empty now so I can bin it properly!
Thank you garden birds for helping with the declutter!!!

Green_hopeful - well done on the blind.
EnergyShifter - well done on the training.
Green_hopeful - lovely display. I don't have one pot in my front or back garden - just paving. Too busy at the moment to change that.
Brie - as it is sea gulls who swoop down when I put out food on my way to town - they are not fussy eaters.
Carpet men have been - lots of bits to hoover up.
J is in the garden working on my summer house.
Bestie called here - her day off - poor love suffers from migraines and is blond so not a lover of the sun and heat.
Sewing machine man arrived - he said did I think the builder would help him with the in and out of sewing machines. J helped him and I now have a working machine. I wasn't asked to sign anything - obviously - I didn't remind him.
So lots of banging happening in the garden. I am low on ice lollies after giving them to bestie and sewing machine man.
I have a packet to collect at Asd. - some of the special chocolate - don't know why it has been delivered in two packets. Yes it is palm oil free but so is Lid. 100g fruit & nut which I love.
Tried to work on sewing up a gnome but been a day of happenings.

It's so nice to be back - thank you for messages. 🙏💕
@vulpix - no it wasn't me who moved. Although I did have a massively overgrown garden until about a week or so. But that was my own doing (or not doing) 😂
I have completed day 6 of the "minimalist game" - so that's 21 items decluttered since 1st July - I won't list them all but the most pleasing one was a box with my card stash - most of which have been there for years and I've never felt I wanted to send them to anyone. Although it doesn't exactly make a lot of space I realised I was absolutely sick of looking at them every time I looked for a card.
Need to get ready for the last day of my Pastoral training - apparently the Bishop is going to pop in !!

@Deb4 I remember that feeling in one job, the boss was a shocking bully. This was years ago and I was advised just to get out which I did. But it’s hard, I have my fingers crossed for you.
@EnergyShifter nice to see you again and I’m glad that things have settled down for you.@Mrs_Salad_Dodger thank you for my gold star
112-119 items x 8 sold on V with the help of DD
120 skirt of DDs into fabric recycling as it had been attacked by cat claws!
121 birthday balloons binned, they didn’t do well in the heat.
122-124 gift bag reused for 2 presents from stashRe: medical nasty, tests are ongoing and have to travel to London for a specialist scan. Getting lots of support but the amount of medical appointments is hard going, would like some normality!

@BlueJ94 I like your cake decluttering style! I haven't eaten the second of the banana chocolate loaves which Mum sent back with me. I heroically resisted buying some cake at a charity fete at the weekend!
@Florenceem that collage is beautiful and so heartfelt. What a lovely gift.
@Deb4 sorry to hear work is being so unsupportive. Do you have supporters, such as union, at your work?
Well done @DundeeDoll at getting started on the decluttering, sorry work is hard.
Hugely impressed by the lilac and gardening efforts @vulpix . We now have to book slots at the tip, 10 minutes each, up to 2 weeks ahead. I'm not organised enough to know that I will have enough, but not too much, to take at a date in the future, so I just don't book, and then I don't do anything to create the material to be taken. Ho hum
Going back to the graveyard rambles, I remember (in the days when I drove to my parents' house to visit them) missing my exit off the A14 and unexpectedly saw a direction sign to Hemingford Grey. It was a lovely sunny day, so I came off the A14, found the graveyard, and had a mooch around. Nothing really of interest, as they were all agricultural labourers and therefore probably didn't have enough pennies rubbed together for headstones, but still a lovely diversion on my journey! I shall have a look at the Find a Grave website properly, @Green_hopeful
Hope your shoulder is feeling a little better @Brambling
Hello @EnergyShifter . It's nice to meet you. I've just joined the thread this year. I have no specific decluttering numbers to aim for, and do some when my mojo allows. "Uncluttered faith" sounds an interesting book. The idea of Swedish death cleaning has resonated with me, too.

It's a week for decluttering ££ - met up with some current and former colleagues for lunch on Saturday, then I watched Les Liaisons Dangereuses from the National Theatre on Sunday lunchtime (after fitting in watching some free Mystery Plays on wagons!). Ohhhh yesssss … Aidan Turner can definitely smoulder with the best of them! 😁
Work conference tomorrow and Wednesday, so I will be out with some other colleagues for a meal tomorrow night (I seem to have missed the emails about tonight's meal for those who have travelled today, perhaps no bad thing).
I'm thinking about getting one of those
supersonicultrasonic devices for cleaning dental devices. Has anyone any experience of them?17 -

4 Vinted parcels sent off today.
2 bags of misc bits including 2 jigsaws sent to charity.Recycling to Boots and the dead iron to Waitrose for small electrical recycling.

Evening all. Goodness but it’s getting warm again.
Finished ALL the gloss painting. I have found myself in some very interesting shapes and positions painting the skirtings…
Have put the unused gloss out in the yard storage and even remembered to keep a little in a well sealed glass jar in case of future touch ups. The jar will live on the storage shelf in the downstairs loo.
Took everything upstairs so I can make a start on the emulsioning tomorrow.
Big box went in recycling this morning.
Dinner was all fridge & pantry for us both. I decluttered the rest of a New York cheesecake which was yummy.
Washing went out late but no chance of rain so not an issue. 1 load of DH big woolly jumpers to go then just the towels and that’s done.
England did very well this morning, great result. Let’s hope it continues.Have a good night all, sweet dreams xx

J has finished the work on my summer house.
I popped to Asd. to get more ice lollies and collect a parcel when it was cooler - fed the gulls on the way.
I have finally hoovered all the bits off the new carpet. There is one area that I am not happy with. When they phone for the money - I will request a visit by the boss. It is different men laying the carpet in my lounge on Friday.
My son told me the police phoned him about the drunk driver. As they didn't get to breathlyse him until 9am instead of the 70/80 that they thought he was at the time of collision - he blew 30. That made him cocky until he failed a cocaine and cannabis test so will be in court and banned from driving.
My J will be here tomorrow - I want him to move the boxes of furniture again. Then I will ask him to wash down my garage door then paint the outside woodwork.
Use it up dinner today. They were chilli sausages - not my favourite.
