Thank you for my gold star @Mrs_Salad_Dodger
90% of the banisters and spindles are done 🥳 I’ve got the fancy bit atop the spindles and the stairs banister top to do tomorrow. I had to stop this morning as my legs were screaming at me. I also managed to get as much paint on me as on the paintwork!
Dinner all freezer and fridge both. Hoping to not have to shop for a couple of weeks.
Sold 2 items on Vinted and a big ticket item on eBay.
DH has given permission for me to get rid of all the leftover bits from his motorbiking days. He won’t ever be able to ride again so no sense in keeping them. That’s a job for tomorrow though.I know nothing of my dad’s early years. No photos of him as a child or before 1940. My “new to me” cousin, who is lovely and lives in the town where dad was born suggested a school he may have attended. Did a post on the history site on FB last night and, within an hour, a lovely man came back with 2 newspaper clippings of my dad and his brother! They were from the war but gave info of schools and churches. There are photos on the newspaper but they can’t be seen which is a shame. I am so lucky and very grateful, there are some very kind people out there.
Have a great night all, sweet dreams xx

Good evening declutterati chums from not so hot but about to get hotter France. Well, decluttering took a huge leap forward yesterday. The background is that DS andDGS1 are coming to visit so the spare room needs sorting. So, to sort that we have taken a decision to sell all our books in French. So, to do that DH volunteered to supply the boxes from his box store - don’t ask- to get the books out and ready to go . Well I went for a wee lie down while he went to get the boxes. Some time later he calls me in to come and tell him what to do with the stuff on the kitchen table. Well there was an absolutely enormous pile of cardboard and plastic bags enough for 2-3 bin loads. He had been storing it in the boxes for Justin Incase! I said nothing but handed him the roll of recycling bags which he filled. They are now in the garage ready to be set out next recycling day , Monday. However we now have no books on the floor all in English , spare space on the shelves for their toiletries. The boxes are now stacked up in the other spare room aka DH’s office . So I’m counting as out
5 piles of plastic bags and 5 piles of cardboard.
I’ve also found a missing list of1 fleece, 3 pr socks, 2unfinished embroidery projects 3 PRs pants, 27 books , 5 magazines and 1 bag of ood meds.
Total 52 + ? = ?
must look back for numbers,Hugs for everyone who would like one.x

Been missing for a couple of weeks. I can have taken a backward step with my decluttering. The charity that I help with was given 8 storage boxes of stuff to sell. I have stored it in my newly cleared craft shed.🤦 Whilst I sort it all out. We have raised £132.00 from it all already so it is worth doing. We were away for the weekend too which was lovely but decluttering has taken a back seat. I spent all afternoon sorting and bagging stuff so have sorted one box completely. Hoping to be able to see the floor in there again soon.

Dd2 has looked out a few things - @QueenJess like your youngsters my older dd2 has left items on the landing to sort, otherwise she would have just binned.
Gym mat being kept for dd1 (pile for collection building up) skate board and sleeping bag, and 2 boxes and large suitcase
Boxes recycled, lots of interest in the skateboard on freesite. Digital decluttering , counting as 4 and hope to get the 11 needed for half way tomorrow.
Have a day mainly at home so hope to get lots done. Also looking for part-time.job been doing some research etc for the last month.

suzeesu2000 - thank you.
suprisinglynice - thank you.
@Happy_Kitties - hope you don't have to wait long for treatment.
I went to town - feeding the birds on the way. I met officer C and we chatted.
Another sack of donations made it's way to the charity shop.
I got a bus to the carpet shop and chose my colour - I looked at the chap in the shop and asked him if he went to St. L school - he did - he was amazed that I recognised him from a 10 year old to 57 years of age.
So I am having 2 lots of carpet fitted next week - one on Monday and the other on Friday.
I finally got lampshades for the hall - not the one I had seen as still only one on the shelf and I wanted two alike. I chose a ratten style which makes shapes on the ceiling like my upstairs lampshades.
I repaired another corner of my rug.
Washing and ironing done.
Decluttered - dungarees, paper bag, jumper and a tee shirt.

Daisy,It's a coin toss between cables and flight cases for Mr V.🤣
Nice to see you Happy Kitties, I'm glad that you are able to post. Sending best wishes. xx
Plastic cutlery tray in the charity shop bag.
I am at the shop in the morning but Mr V and his mate are going to chop down the overbearing massive lilac trees that line the drive. It will make a huge difference. "The drive" makes the house sound very grand. It isn't, at all!
We are out for a curry with friends later. Friday is my day. Garden day with a haircut in the middle of it.
Vx

@daisy_1571 I was wondering that myself so it’s on my list to find a telephone number or email , that’s if that newspaper is still going. I have the dates and everything. Sadly the copy from the archive newspaper site is dreadful too.
