Thank you for my medal Mrs SD.
Sold a book on eBay so book and recycled packaging gone.
Nearly decluttered a very high maintenance indoor cat. My husband saw a brown cat run past him outside. I found her behind a plastic greenhouse but couldn’t get to her before she shot out in the other direction. Then spent three hours searching the garden before i finally spotted her. Again she shot off and wedged herself under an IBC pallet with an IBC sitting on the top. She was shaking when I finally got her out. Some lickelix and biscuits and she felt better. She destressed by going for a wheel. She also spent some quality time with her happy kitty blanket. Its a cat mint impregnated napkin.

Monday continued: I have phoned my bank - paid my CC bill & checked my accounts. DH’s motorcycle trousers are now out on the whirligig & the last of yesterday’s washing is dry & folded. I will do DH’s jacket tomorrow. DH is currently out front working on the motorbike. Job 1 - thorough clean of brake bolts, threads & callipers & proper tightening of bolts 😉 I forgot to mention that yesterday the handlebar SatNav died completely but at least it lasted for our trip 😊 The new SatNav has been received today but the cradle which it sits in is still in Germany ☹️ However, as his 2nd job he has removed the old wiring in preparation. Job 3 is to replace the headlight bulb which blew whilst we were away (he had bought a new bulb on our trip just in case we got stopped 😉) but it is a very fiddly job - it took 2.5hrs 😢 Meanwhile I have done some digital decluttering - now less than 40 emails 😊 & I have updated my Awards notebook……. Dinner was ‘use up’ from freezer - I had removed various bit from freezer on Saturday. I give DSis first choice as she can be a little fussy so she had sausage-meat & spinach linguine whilst DH had spaghetti bolognaise & I had linguine with a creamy bacon & pea sauce 😋 Wudupa.
1035 - 1036 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
1037 - 1038 Kitchen detritus, plastic packaging - binned
1039 Broken satnav added to electronics Tip pile
Just realised I forgot to award myself a Gold Star ⭐️ for passing 1013/2026 😅 Now added to my awards 😊
Excellent work TC77 👏 I think that the pipe accessory, grape scissors & toasting fork would make an interesting little lot for sale 😉 Great decluttering to the cs 👏 Good luck with the boxes when DB delivers them 🍀
retiredinfrance, my go to in difficult situations is “I’m Still Standing” by Elton John & I sing it in my head 😉 Four days of over 40°C 🥵🥵 Good job you can escape the heat indoors 😮💨 Sounds like a good salesman ☺️ I hope you get a good price for your old car 🤞 & that you enjoy your driving your new car ☺️
Green_hopeful, I have given up on my DH & DSis putting things away neatly in the freezer 😞 Now I just reorganise the freezer contents when I can no longer cope with the mess 😅
Florenceem, I had a period of watching Hoarding: Buried Alive. Some of the stories were very sad but for quite a few I found myself getting a bit annoyed 😔 Good luck decluttering the old office 🍀
BlueJ94, pleased to hear that your dog allowed you & OH to sleep through the night ☺️ Good luck with the surveys 🍀
TC77, it was an awful journey but DH & I are both fully recovered now although it did take a couple of days. Hope you don’t have to leave too early to meet DD2 🤞 It will be so lovely to have her back 🥹
BlueJ94, from your original description it sounded like it wasn’t the type of role you really wanted (despite the pay rise) & I am assuming that it was the further investigation that you intended to do that led you to decide not to apply for the new job. Hopefully a more suitable job with the attendant pay rise will turn up in the new future 🤞 great work on the Surveys 👏 I hope you enjoyed your the drinks you are testing 😊
Florenceem, I hope your day went to plan & you didn’t have to spend any money ☺️ As to your sewing machine not working, I will keep everything crossed that you have managed to get it working now🤞
Lovely post Yorkie1 ☺️ Pleased to hear that your journey home wasn’t too bad & you only had the one delay 🥹 Hope you enjoyed the tennis 😊
Good decluttering TC77 👏
Green_hopeful, yikes 😦 very pleased to hear that you finally managed to get the cat back indoors 😮💨☺️ She is a gorgeous looking cat 😻 Hopefully today’s adventure will mean she stays indoors in the future 🤞
Sleep tight 😴

Forgot I dropped off the old heating control and cables from the repair done in March I think and has been sitting in my hall. Off to get ready for an early train and bring dd2 and her massive and v heavy luggage back 😃

Dull start to the day here.
My J arrived at 8 - he is putting back the rails on the stairs and painting the one he left for his nan to hold onto while going upstairs.
Builder J is looking at the weather forecast to decide if he is coming here today.
It wasn't a no spend day as I had to pay for wood and pay J for his work on the summer house.
The old office is now my ROD. I have moved some stuff from there yesterday. This room has to be emptied for J to decorate and for new carpet.
My new sewing machine is jammed - I was asked to send a video of it - how can you video a thing that is not moving. They asked for photos of where it is jammed - if their engineers don't know where - how am I supposed to know. I have checked the usual places - bobbin casing and the spool winder is not engaged. The machine comes up with the error message - which means jammed. They are working out who is going to come and fix it. I bought it from Wrexham so not a short journey.
I plan to sew another corner of my mat today - stitch in time saves nine.
Before and after photos of yesterday's work on the mat.

Decluttered a leak and the cost that goes with it as well as now having to declutter the entire kitchen floor as it is all damaged.
In good news, decluttered around 4000 exam questions. Will need to ask for more to now pay for the new kitchen floor.
Sorting as I get ready for the living room transformation. That is very therapeutic.

Also did a paperwork frog that has been waiting for 6 weeks followed by donating some old dishes to a hedgehog sanctuary. That is four items and space found in my cupboard.

Tuesday started overcast with no sunshine & felt very close despite a SW breeze supposedly making it feel 2° cooler than the current 22°C. The forecast is for a high of 24°C & low of 17°C The motorcycle trousers are dry so I have brought them indoors & will attempt to put the armour back in. DH is taking my DSis to her class & then doing a small shop. The weather perked up at 14:00 & we have some sunshine. DH just phoned - apparently the bridge was up so only just managed to get DSis to her class on time 😮💨BlueJ94, hopefully the drizzle will clear the air & help your garden 🤞 Yippee to pay day 🥳
TC77, hope you & DD2 are safely home & are recovering from carrying the heavy luggage 🙏
Florenceem, hopefully builder J turns up & finishes the summer house today🤞 A pity that yesterday wasn’t a no spend day 😞 maybe today 🤞 Good luck clearing your new ROD 🍀 That is very impressive mending 🤩 looks like a perfect colour match ☺️ As to the sewing machine, how frustrating 😞 It will be a very long day for whomever is sent to repair it ☹️
Willowtree222, pleased to hear that the leak is now repaired ☺️ but sorry to hear that the kitchen floor needs replacing 😞 Great work with the decluttering & dealing with a paperwork frog 👏
DH got back & I managed to put away all the shopping. DSis got back about 15:45. The armour is back in DH’s trousers & they have been put away probably until late September. I hope everyone is having as good a day as possible, see you later 👋

Have just caught up reading again, the last hospital procedure threw up a nasty which needs dealing with but other hospitals also want my time and all seem to want to book an appt on the same day so time spent shifting things around. Not much decluttering going on, some tidying up being done and a bigger pile is now ready for the shoebox hub.
I also have a bag of items ready for the charity shop, will need to wait for DD.
But a small amount of decluttering has been done
104-106 bags x 3 of empty coffee pods taken to new recycling point. When I came out of hospital the first time, I could only drink hot chocolate, everything else made me heave and the pods built up!
107 bag of soft plastics to local supermarket recycling point
108 another item sold on V
109 summer scarf that had so many pulls-fabric recycling
110 one frog now dealt with
111 lots of empty tablet blisters packs popped into recycling at B**ts. Don’t do the points offer with them now as too much of a faff
