I was on the floor again today with a sail maker's needle fixing another corner of my rug.
J cleared some brambles that had come through from next door - the neighbour's garden is like a jungle.
Builder J came and set to but then it rained. He went away and came back again.
I popped out for milk while the builder was away.
Done the ironing.
Sewing machine place are saying it is a maintenance problem. How can it be as never been used. Surely something needs to have been used to require maintenance.
Decluttered - 4 packs of yarn, 2 magazines and a set of scissors.

@Florenceem maybe Trading Standards can help the sewing machine company to see sense?

@Florenceem just quote them the 1979 sale of goods act: goods must be of merchantable quality and fitfor the purpose for which they are intended. And please do not accept a repair. Insist on a brand new machine. Once you accept a repair you can’t then ask for a replacement further down the line, as it seems, this is a faulty machine. Oh and it’s where you purchased from that should be dealing with it, not the manufacturer. I do get a bee in my bonnet about things like this. They are happy enough to take the money.
Am still decorating. Couldn’t do a stroke with the heatwave. Am now finished on the upstairs doors, frames, skirtings, spindles and banisters. Just got to do the spindles on the stairs tomorrow, hopefully.
I sorted and decluttered the downstairs loo as well. All back neat and tidy with space on the shelves, also discovered couple of bits I didn’t know I had stocked up on. Several glass jars and lids and some broken picture frames went in recycling. Restocked under sink and bathroom cupboard too.
Dinner for both was freezer, cupboard and fridge.
DH has been very unwell and then the heatwave made it all worse so the poor old lad is still suffering. I really could do without another increase in temperatures.
Hope everyone is doing okay. Have a good evening all, sweet dreams xx

Evening all - still too hot for me and we seem to miss the rain - would love one of those spectacular thunderstorms other places are getting. Mostly plodding as still suffering with leg cramps - I think due to the heat last week - no swelling or redness so don't think its anything too worrying. It is worst when sitting so I understand it might be connected to sciatica - I really need a proper office chair as I sit at computer a lot on a dining room chair. My old office chair was damaged and I threw it away when I moved. I got some of those sports isotonic drinks - children spotted those quickly as its not something I normally have.
Just DGS4 here tonight after tea at his dads. Leaving the gardening alone for a while but realised I could award myself some points from big job list. Need to start packing for Crete in just over two weeks time. DD has invited me to holiday with them next year possibly the Italian lakes. I've promised to take DGS3 & 4 to Paris October half term to visit football ground and Eiffel Tower. Will go on Eurostar. I was supposed to take DGD4 to orthodontist tomorrow but it has been moved to Friday when her mother can take her. I am now going down to ' delivery sit' at DS2's for new table being delivered. Hopefully my niece and her daughter will be staying over Friday night before a swimming event at Sheffield.

Just found this post I didn't post this morning.
TC, it doesn't seem 2 minutes since your DD went away and now she's back. I hope she had a marvellous time.
Green Hopeful, yikes! very stressful for you and the poor cat. She is a beauty.
Yesterday Mr V emptied the medium sized shed and found stuff for the tip. He has found the shed isn't water tight in one corner and he has lost a box of photos. He was actually looking for a box for me with gardening stuff, ie my trowel. He is going to empty the biggest shed today and see if it can be packed neater. It was last packed by the removal people. I will get out there with him and help, although I would really like to weed the new garden. The plants don't seem to have grown much but the weeds are doing very well. I did spot watering during the heat and everything seems to have survived.
In the car for the tip, large box of photos, a tuner desk for radio,2 broken plastic storage boxes. and of course as always cables. I don't know how many times Mr V has tidied the shed over the years, perhaps 4 times a year and always there is stuff for the tip. Is he getting more ruthless or should it have gone 20 years ago? It would have saved us moving and storing it many times!🤣
Biggest shed emptied and tidied. Gone, a gazebo given to man shed, 2 big bags of sound proofing given to local radio station, more gubbins for the tip. 2 bags of perlite for DD1, some specific screws for DS, a bag of bags for my charity shop. Some papers binned. Also for chazzer some coasters and a bag of giant paper clips.

Morning everyone 👋🏼
Have been busying away behind the scenes and catching up here when able.
Spending more time helping Ma to slowly empty her kitchen just to prevent stress/anxiety and general shock (at the amount of gibble she has amassed!) 😳 hoarding in any form is hard on the person in so many ways, that said, I am emotionally flumpsed by the time I get home from supporting/helping.. 😮💨 Still.. it has to be done and slowly and softly seems to be the way!
Finished staining fence, gate, chair.. only bench to do but it’s on its last legs and may be replaced so I’m waiting to see what occurs..🤔
Inside I’ve removed 2 full bags to the local charity shop and various empty boxes to mum, to be filled 🤣😇
Other than that I’ve decluttered quite a lot of time researching the hubsters family tree!
We have a list of places we’d like to visit for photos etc to add context to each person.. Thankfully most are local ☺️
As always, sending hugs 🤗 sticks 🪵 and spoons 🥄 for anyone in need 💗"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇

Morning all.
I forgot to take my tablets until late so didn't wake very early.
Going out this morning.
I have ironing and washing to do today.
I need to repair 2 corners on another rug. I don't know if I mentioned the rugs saga and how I ended up with 3 rugs for the price of one.
BlueJ94- I love Victoria sponge but those tea bags don't tempt me.
Felt very down yesterday evening - the sewing machine issue and losing my Mr F got to me.
Hope everyone has a good day.
