GrannyKate, hopefully DSiL will make a quick recovery from her knee replacement 🙏 Pleased to hear that DGS3 is still helping in return for pocket money especially useful for the surprise weekend away 😊 You will miss next door neighbour’s skip when it goes 😉 Hopefully you managed to summon up some enthusiasm for dealing with housework & paperwork 🤞
Florenceem, hope you managed to get ice lollies Friday evening 🤞 My DSis went out Thursday evening to get ice creams & ice lollies & the sm freezers had been gutted 😞 I am looking forward to seeing a photo of your new sofa 😉 More great decluttering 👏
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 I am ever hopeful that DH, DS & DD will soon see their decluttering through all its stages 🙏 rather than leaving it to you to do the hard par.
Liverpool_Anne, your journey sounds as hellish as ours 🥵 🥵 Lovely reply to Siebrie’s post 🥹
Moorviews, we were fortunate as it was only during the 2nd week that Scotland had higher temperatures & then just the Friday driving home where it was hellishly hot 🥵 Not surprised that you are tired - excessive heat is so enervating 😞
QueenJess, no wonder you were “floored” 😉 🙊 I am still impressed at how much you declutter every single day 👏
Lovely post Moorviews 😊
Lovely sentiment TC77 ☺️ Good decluttering & well done on putting a time limit on your listings 👏 Good luck dealing with your financial frogs 🍀
florianatwobob, good luck with your Vinted listings 🍀
BlueJ94, hopefully you didn’t get too hot going around the boot sales 🤞
Great digital decluttering TC77 👏
Excellent work Liverpool_Anne & well done taking advantage of the cooler temperatures 👏
QueenJess, no wonder you are “feeling frazzled” 🥺 It is all very well your DS & DD needing ‘guidance’ they are young but your DH, I really don’t know what to say 😰😧 All I can do is offer you gentle cwtches 🤗 & praise you for your persistence in decluttering 👏
I have caught up a little more but am flagging ☹️ but I need to do the wudupa before going to bed. Sleep tight everyone 😴

Monday is another bright sunny day with a a forecast high of 24°C with a gentle WNW breeze & a low of 14°C. A much more manageable & comfortable temperature I had a restless night, up 3 or 4 times, before getting up 10:15. I hung out the last lot of washing & now must decide which motorcycle clothing* is the first to be washed 🤔 Also had a quick tidy round the kitchen.
1027 - 1034 Cardboard box, metal coffee tin, 3 magazines, small glass jar, plastic bottle, uu mini bath gel - recycled
Now to resume cheerleading from posts dated the 28th
vulpix, pleased to hear that the family visit went so well & that you are making the most of the extra space 🥹 Sounds like a very busy weekend all in all ☺️ I honestly think that if we had stopped moving we would have collapsed in the middle of the road 😱 but I can’t imagine it was too much better in a car 😔 A descriptive turn of phrase “The heat makes everything just such an endurance test.” It has taken a couple of days but we are both finally starting to feel human again & taking every opportunity to drink which, naturally, means more bathroom visits 😉 🙊 The bunk beds sound like a perfect fit for the small bedroom 😊
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 & knowing how efficient you are I cannot imagine that your rooms will be messy for long ☺️
daisy_1571, a beautiful post 🥹
*I made my decision - DH’s motorcycle trousers - I checked all the pockets & removed the hip & knee/shin armour & they are now in the wm with the specialist washing liquid. Once clean I need to run the machine again with the specialist waterproofing liquid.
Florenceem, no doubt the delivery men are singing your praises ☺️ A busy Sunday & well done on decluttering even more 👏Yorkie1, a busy day at your Mum’s & you got such a lot done despite the heat 👏 Your Mum is certainly going to miss your company 🥺 Hopefully Monday will be a cooler day & your journey home will be incident free 🤞
Green_hopeful, great work taking the gazebo down 👏 & fingers crossed that the broken gazebo will go quickly 🤞 Very impressive up-cycling - converting 2 broken bbqs into a working one 🤩 A medal 🏅 is on its way. Hopefully the scrap-man will call round soon & clear away the bits from the side of your house 🤞
GrannyKate, very sorry to hear about your “bad night” 😔 Hopefully you managed to catnap during the day after all the gardening & cleaning 🤞 Sounds like DS2 & family had a great weekend ☺️
QueenJess, sounds like very hard work 😓 Although I am pleased to hear that you managed to get your DH to help out with the memory boxes 👏
BlueJ94, you certainly have been busy 🤩👏 - a medal 🏅is on its way. I do hope you managed to get some rest later in the day 🤞Your newly decluttered under sink cupboard looks wonderful 👏 reminds me that I really need to sort mine out ☹️
Excellent decluttering florianatwobob 👏 Thanks for the reminder about Being Human - a great series 😊
daisy_1571, an interesting idea 🤔
Floss, that sounds reasonably easy even to a complete technophobe like me 😊 Lovely 2nd post 😊
Wm finished so have added the waterproofing liquid & set it going again. I am trying to do this properly so the setting is for 1hr 40m 😦 Most of the washing was dry so now folded in laundry basket. Whilst I was outside I got annoyed at one of the straggly hedges so spent 20 minutes pruning before I got too warm. Of course now I am distracted from cheerleading so will post this & come back later 👋 Hope everyone is having a good day whatever the weather 😊

Builder J is working out in the back garden.
Carpet chap came and measured up the new lounge. I need to go to the shop to choose what carpet I want.
J asked me if I could do a couple of sewing jobs - I told him not today but tomorrow when I am here with my J.
Anyway I decided to have a go on my new sewing machine ready for the jobs. I can't get the mechine to work - it switches on but I can't even turn the wheel. Phoned where I bought it from - spoke to chap I have chatted with previously. We got builder J to see if he could shift the wheel and we oiled the bobbin case as directed. Told to ring back after 15 minutes for the oil to work into the machine.
Builder J has gone off to buy wood to tidy up round the windows in my summer house.
Waiting for the sewing machine chap to ring me back - machine was delivered on April 8 so well under guarantee.

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger you both packed in so much into your holiday, no wonder you need time to decompress. It was very interesting to read about your adventures.
@GrannyKate thanks for the info about iCloud storage. I was short of time to investigate - and mum was short of decision-making power - so we have opted for the £0.99 per month to increase her iCloud storage from 5GB to 50GB. Hopefully that will be enough, at least for now!
@florianatwobob I am hoping to see Les Liaison Dangereuses at the cinema - must see if there are any showings left now that I am back home. I still remember the original film with John Malkovich, Glenn Close and Michelle Pfeiffer. Gripping.
@Floss thanks for the WhatsApp call tips. I have got mum to write down the steps and she then called me (sat across the kitchen table) successfully. Whether she will remember to use the method, only time will tell. She struggles to remember what unfamiliar icons on the iPad are and I think there is definitely deterioration over the last year or two, perhaps.
@Florenceem I agree with you that attitudes towards possessions can be inherited. Mum and I both attach memories and sentiments to things, which makes it hard to dispose of them. (Mind you, I'm also just a bit of a Just In Case person … )!
So I'm back home now. There was disruption on the line owing to some cable theft, but in the end only 1 hour's delay on the main leg of the journey. I had a cool and shady place to wait for the delayed train, and I had successfully bought an upgrade (Seatfrog App) so there was more space and a quieter carriage once on the train. Logged onto work for a couple of hours, two calls with mum, and now ready to watch Djokovic at Wimbledon 🎾

@Yorkie1 this was equally as good as the film. I hope you get to see it and the report back.
