My phased return to work was okay just felt strange and lost, as in most health care setting the turn over of staff is huge, back next week for two longer days, also the drive home could take a hour and I could be back hour at 6pm and DS is looking at going to bed at 7pm.
All meals this week have come out of the freezer and now can see what we have, started the shopping list for tomorrow.
Done all the ironing today and that has been put away and a couple of things have been put to one side for vinted, photos have been taken ready for me to upload.
Still need to go though with the toys that DS has stored out. DS has a non uniform day today for a donation of chocolate so that has been taken in today.
Watched some programmes so they have been taken off the planer, I have started a new diamond art project this week.
Diary and calendar has been updated also done a weekly planer for DS knows what is happening during the week

Well the decorator didn’t turn up or reply to the text asking if he was going to. Back to the drawing board. Shame @Florenceem isn’t closer, I could borrow her J!😹I shall find. Solution as that’s what I do.
Dinner from freezer. Beef bones put in the freezer for now as I have no space for the jars of bone broth.
Did one load of darks to go on the line in the morning. I’ll do another while that’s out drying so it’s ready to go out for Sunday.
We haven’t had one for a while, so here is my boy, feeling very proud of himself - as he rightly should. He caught a sky raisin and didn’t eat it! 🪰Have a good night all, sweet dreams xx

i kondoed my stash of lampshades today. I have aspirations of up cycling vintage lampshades. I have about 10 old shades. I got rid of seven modern ones that don’t spark joy. My husband made some disparaging comments about them but I didn’t let it bother me because he didn’t let go of his empty beer bottles.
I also checked and got rid of some desk lights into the small electrical recycling box.
I got my husband to wire up some emergency lights we bought for my very infirm inlaws when they were threatening power cuts. They asked me to get them some candles. I said not on your nelly… my father in law fell over a lot and my mother in law had very advanced dementia. Anyway we did some emergency lights for them but had a few left over so did one for my mum and one for my mum’s best ex husband. She only has two ex husbands but he is definitely the best. The lights are good. They are emergency lights like you would get in an office. If there is a power failure they come on for ages. Anyway two lights, two plugs and some cable out of the house. Oh and funny my husband tripped the electrics while working on the lights and we could tell because our emergency light came on.
I also found a bin liner with my mums curtains in so i put those in the car to deliver them.
All little steps towards clearing the garage of doom.

A handsome gnome and a handsome cat. I've just had a potter in the garden and cut back more weeds and shrubs to half fill the bin. Sox follows me around sitting on the various small walls and gate posts to supervise. Minor scrap with the fluffy neighbour who had the audacity to lie on the drive three feet from Sox showing us his belly. They don't really fight - just hiss at each other. Fluffy's attitude is very much - I was here first.
I've not done a lot today - felt really tired. I did the school runs and took a short drive to book car in for a service then visited SM for a few bits. Think I'll have a hot shower and an early night

I first started because my line manager was marking and he got me a space on a team.
When I left that board and started working at a school that did another, I went on the website and applied to become a marker for them. It wasn't hard to apply and as I teach the subject I mark, was easy to show I could mark to the standard they expect.
After that, I got to know the team and asked to be considered to moderate some aspects.
If you want more information, please message me and I will let you know how it works.

I was going to do a bit of sorting today and opened a drawer to discover half the drawer is taken up by things that need to be used up (mainly handcream) that will take me more than a year. I found one item to definitely go and was thinking about the rest, but then was waylaid by DD who wanted to then do her stuff. So we went through some of her random bits and pieces that she was quite ruthless with and then I ran out of time. This is why I don't declutter my stuff with the kids as they only ever want to do theirs!
7 - paper, reused then recycled
2 - bathroom overstock used up
1 - screwdriver keyring that doesn’t fit anything I have (charity bag)
1 - DD slippers grown out of (charity bag)
5 - DD random stuff (charity bag)
14 - DD random tat (binned/recycled)
1 - keyring I don’t use (charity bag)New total 1,388

@ QueenJess - Had to laugh at, "I've left some hm iced buns in the tlc carriage (lilac icing). I'd be quick before my kids eat them all!" I would have grabbed one, except I was stuffing a custard tart at the time and I mustn't be too greedy, must I! 😂🤣😅.
Just popped in to read a few threads of some wonderful decluttering, strawberries, and a very hansom cat as I try to cope with numerous days and nights of chronic pain along with stress and anxiety 🙄🤐. I've managed to get 2 hours sleep in 2 days which really doesn't help. I'm going to have to make myself rest in bed today, but it's such a waste when I can't sleep and it's light, even if it's cooler with the rain, hailstones, and thunder and lightening at times. It's going to be cooler today, but I'm not expecting to do anything except the general essential basics which I've had to make a start on as I won't manage to get even those things done by the end of the day if I don’t 😕. My decluttering task of the day will be to turn on the now loaded washing machine, rest, and then peg the washing out on the lines a bit at a time with rests in between when needed - Crazy! 😅.
Just decluttering the last of a mug of coffee before the washing machine goes on and I go and try and rest in bed for a while. I hope everyone has a wonderful decluttering weekend. Take care all and ta-ta for now xxx

@suprisinglynice - I'm always surprised at the attitude toward used clothing also. They probably wouldn't look twice about renting a costume or evening gown. Or even shopping for vintage clothing. For people with sensory issues, buying used is best because they are worn in and softer. And a lot of the older clothes last longer too. I rather shop at a charity store rather than buying new anytime. Usually just buy underwear and socks new.
