Tuesday is a bright sunny day with clear blue skies. The forecast is for a high of 16°C (feeling just 1° cooler due to a W wind) & a low of 3°C.
BlueJ94, I hope you are as excited as “your mam” at the prospect of a CS visit 🙊
vulpix, This “Blue J, I didn’t know that charity shops accepted Mothers! That is decluttering at its finest! 🤣” had me in stitches 🤣 Has set me off wondering if they accept Sisters as well 🤔 🤣 Pleased to hear that you are happier than you were about the wardrobe colour 😊
I hope everyone is having as good a day as possible & I will see you later 👋

Vulpix - maybe I will crochet myself a blanket with the oddments of yarn - they are small amounts so it will be
a scrap one.
I had a bit of pain in the night but fell asleep again after going down for a fresh freezer pad.
J arrived and carried boxes from the large ROD down to the garage. Then he tidied up the back and front gardens.
Next I asked him to touch up any areas on the anthracite painted wall that needed it.
I still have builder J's ladder in my back garden so J moved it ready for the summerhouse on Thursday.
I asked J to put a second coat of paint on the fence - I got the feeling that he wasn't keen to do it but it said on the tin that two coats was best. J just painted the fence from the back wall to a place in the alley. It will be interesting to see if it dries darker than the one coat. I had wanted all the fence given a second coat - right up to the front wall but didn't press him to do it today. I don't think J will be here again this week as rain is forecast.
I sewed up the glove that I finished knitting yesterday.
I have started to fill a charity shop bag that is in my shopping trolley.

I used to finish up bits of yarn by crocheting catnip mice. Any extra tiddly bits were used for the mice's whiskers & eyes.

Brie - great idea.
I had a tidy up in my craft storage room - looks better now.

Still weeding here, at least I think that's what I've been doing over the last 6 days. There's just so much to do that I ricochet from one thing to the next in the hope that eventually it will all get done. 😱 A lot of the work has been prepping stuff, like mixing compost which is easy to forget that work and only count the pots you've filled.
I did have a lovely trip to some Open Gardens on Sunday. Not massive gardens but 5 smallish ones in a group. They were so inspirational; seeing what people had done in small or difficult areas and made such interesting gardens. The homemade slice of cake I had was rather good too. 😁
The pressure washer did turn up on Friday after all so I know I spent a day cleaning the patio. I still need to do the path down the side of the patio as there was so much junk on the patio it took ages. Lots of broken/damaged pots decluttered and a lot of earth from said pots cleaned off the patio. It looks so much better.
Still no rain so the little ponds are not yet full but, rain is again forecast for tomorrow so maybe 🤞🤞 I'll also be forced to do some housework if it does rain 🤣
Everyone seems to have been working very hard on decluttering so well done to you all. All I can do tonight is make some supper and collapse in front of the TV and hopefully knit or crochet. Again I'm not sure what I do over the days but I seem to be exhausted by the end of them so I must be doing something. 😁
Take care everyone, well done all, hugs to those who want and love to you all. Dxx

I am presently 'decluttering' a box of mint matchmakers that were intended to be a thank-you present for someone, because I needed some chocolate and also couldn't wait for tea to be ready. Does that count? 🤫🤣

I have the BEST neighbours, I really do. Went and did the animals at friends this morning, I am seriously falling for her gerbils, they are as cute as a button…..DH said NO 😿he’s such a meanie!! Anyway, Came back, put whites wash on, emptied Dishwasher, made tea did all usual chores then finally got all the lizards on the garden wall. It’s done but I’m not happy with where they are placed, some are okay but DH has got to drill new holes so I can spread them out and place them properly cos I’m an old fuss pot.
Answered the door to Tesco delivery and my across the road neighbour came over to tell me he had got rid of a huge weed under my sitting room window. I didn’t hear him doing it. I’m really grateful he did though as it was enormous, I thought it might have been a bit of budlea as there is a ton of that on the back of the road but it was just a weed. What a very kind thing to do, I’m so grateful. He couldn’t get to the root as it’s almost under the house so I gave it a good dose of weed killer. Then weed killered between the slabs in back yard.
Decluttered all the washing and drying AND IRONING! Yay me! Paint rollers delivered today so I will start painting little unit tomorrow. Sold again on Vinted. My list of jobs is growing but I like a challenge. Weather was really hot when I was putting the washing out but then got very chilly and now it can’t make its mind up. Dinner for both was all freezer. Decluttered a jar of tahini - it was gross, really oily and bitter. Tried it, didn’t like it.
Looks like everyone is doing great things. Enjoying hearing about the knitting. Mum used to knit white baby hats for my local hospital, they had to have a pom-pom in either red, orange or green. Then she knitted - but I sewed up - a ton of small teddies which we donated to our local Police as trauma teddies. Mum was thrilled with the thank you letters she got.Have a good night all, sweet dreams xx

@suzeesu2000 lovely hearing about your mum's knitting for the hospital and the trauma teddies. I do want to knit again.
I felt I hit a brick wall this morning, going from room to room moving things from one side of a room to another and then to another room. I have so much packaging but still hope to sell some things and know DD2 wants to try to when home so should just have left this well alone.
Then decided I had to do something so did 2 washes and sorted out bedroom drawers and a little tidying elsewhere.
Yah! actually put things in main bin - a fabric container that I used a drawer divider but had marks on it, and a broken shoe tree and v small old plasters which looked they could be used for a small toddler with a minor little finger injury! Also a pair of smart trousers and a bedspread in the CS bag. Unsubscribed from a couple of things and a little paper decluttering. Yesterday tried to sort out some financial stuff and start a spreadsheet. Counting as 8 so new total 563. I think I will struggle to get anywhere near the 1000 I said for the end of the month. If I get to 750 I will be ok but think that will be difficult, not because of the lack of stuff in my house! 😀
Forgot 2 poor quality packaging out 565.

Morning all xxx
Just popped in for a quick catch up 😂.
@ Florenceem - Loving the latest gloves 🤩😍.
@ dND - Great going with the gardening and most of it is prep and calculation when creating a functional working masterpiece outside 🤗. That's the whole enjoyment of being creative. You turn what's in your head / what's on paper into something awesome using often unconventional but practical ideas. I remember a few years ago having their bathroom ripped out and keeping their old bath tub which their son; who had never shown any interest in gardening, decided to turned into an absolute masterpiece of one awesome 'living' semi-raised rockery 😎🤗. The only thing he regretted was that they hadn't kept the sink 😂.
@ Yorkie1 - 😂😂 I would say that's more cluttering up on mint matchmakers, rather than decluttering, but I'd be splitting hairs, obviously 😂🤣.
@ suzeesu2000 - Lovely to hear about all the knitting your mum used to do and all the lovely things made for others 🤗. That brought back some lovely memories of my grandmother 🤗😋💖.
It's certainly been busy here with decluttering a number of appointments, cluttering up on 2 home delivery shops as babyface won't eat Mr. Sains meat, so I put my order in with my local butcher and pay over the phone then he drops Missy Minks's meat off on his way home - Not that's she's spoilt or anything 🤣-Miss Queen Fussy Cow 😂🤣
I've done several piles of washing and hung out on the line over the past few days ready for the coming rainy weather over the next few days and it's rainging now. It's also been very Autumnal and it's been cold with a frost over the past 2 nights with the heating coming on early morning which is just as well as I seem to be feeling unwell for the past few days and ended up giving in and taking some emergency antibiotics which are doing the job, even though I really do loathe having to take them 🙄😣. I've also been pottering around the garden and managed to fill up the garden waste wheelie bin already 😂. I've also been doing the usual daily HH bin decluttering and cleaning, and I've really been enjoying the office/artroom since I put all the organised paperwork I needed to keep in labelled arch file boxes and put them up on the shelf above the desk rather than the paper racks; which you would have thought would have been easier to find, but It's made such a difference when I need something, it's available in moments 🤗.
Babyface has been back to her garden and house crazies after I decided to bite the bullet and take her fully off her steroid medication, but she's over done it and given herself backache - typical! So I've had to make her rest along with giving her pain medication late afternoon's so that she can heal. If it's not one thing, it's another 😂🤣😅. I'm now managing to get 4 hours sleep each night but it's split sleep of an hour at a time, but far better than the very little sleep I was getting due to pain 😮😥.
Times ticking and I need to go back to bed for a couple of hours after babyface woke me up for the loo which gave me the excuse to have a mug of coffee 😂. Take care all, sweet dreams, and toodle-pip for now xxx
