TC, I probably only do an hour or so jobs a day but it adds up. I think making your daughters room into a lovely space for her is a fab idea. I would like to recommend that you do your own bedroom next so you always have a lovely space to retreat to. Someone I gave some garden plants to recently asked my top tip for renovating, I told her finish one room so you can have a lovely space to retreat to. Decluttering is the same principal, completely finish one room then onto the next. It's how I decluttered mine and my Mum's and MIL's house. One room at a time. When doing MIL's house my step daughter went round and helped by emptying every mortal thing out of a full wall storage unit. Nightmare, there wasn't any room to walk on the floor, Made the job more difficult in my opinion, sorry Mari Kondo.
I will take some photos of the garden Mrs SD. I keep threatening photos and forget.

Sunday is a dull overcast day. Very cloudy with a forecast high of 16°C (feeling 6° colder due to a brisk NE wind) & a low of 7°C DH was up early to watch the MotoGP races & made my first cuppa & I am now settling down to catch up with the cheerleading starting from Friday afternoon:
Brie, that breakfast place sounds wonderful 🤩 Perhaps you should treat yourselves to an extra visit each year 😉 you are definitely worth it 🥹 Excellent work tidying & decluttering your clothing 👏 a medal 🏅 is on its way. Loved This “Shocking realisation that I have so very many tshirts…………. I don’t dare count them.” had me smiling ruefully 😏 as I am not sure how many I have & I think my oldest T-shirt is 30 & still in pretty good condition 🙂 As to you being SABLE in Hawaiian shirts that brightened my day considerably ☺️ Just thinking that if you hang your favourites in the bathroom when you have a shower the creases might come out 🤔 I am putting in my request for a picture of the 40 year old Hawaiian shirt 😉 as I am betting it still looks brand new 🤞 Good luck trying on your new clothing acquisitions 🍀 hopefully you won’t be keeping too many of them 🤞
Soontobeoap, wow you have been busy 🤩 Excellent work with both the deep cleaning & decluttering 👏 The combination of both has earned you another Gold Star ⭐️ Please, please make sure you don’t try to do too much & please rest that shoulder of yours 🙏
Yorkie1, fingers crossed that the weather improves considerably so that when you do put the bedding plants outdoors they will survive 🤞 I can’t believe how chilly it gets during the night & we haven’t really had enough sunshine to warm up the ground 😞
Florenceem, sounds like decluttering the large RoD is turning into a major project 😧 Please, please don’t overdo it 🙏 More excellent decluttering 👏 & about time I made another award 🙂 A medal 🏅 is on its way 😊
Great decluttering TC77 👏 Definitely count DD1’s unused toiletries - she has been moved out for quite a while now 😉 Sounds like you had a lovely time with your old team ☺️
Excellent work GrannyKate 👏 & despite your unplanned naps you got a lot done 🥳 Sounds like it is almost time to switch to ‘holiday mode’ ☺️
TC77, pleased to hear that your DB is participating in the clearance of your dad’s house 😊
Dizzycap, what a great way to transition from work to retirement 👏 Sounds like you had a lovely Friday made all the more special by Babyface being in such fine form 🥹 I do hope it didn’t take too long to get into bed 😉 Nice to hear that Mr Swan is keeping up with his duties ☺️
TC77, fingers crossed that the quote for painting the back of the house is much the same 🤞 Rather annoying that the official letter re mega frog has been so badly written 😖 especially as it means you have to devote even more time to making sure the information is corrected 😖 Good luck 🍀
Florenceem, yippee to a pain free night 🥳 I got all excited reading This “I heard my porch door open - a Fortnum and Mason hamper has been delivered………” imagining what wonderful goodies you had been treated to ☺️ then came down to earth with a bump reading This “…empty apart from the shredded stuff they use” 😞 Although having said that, I must say that is what I would call ‘classy storage’ ☺️
2Scratters, I doubt that it is just you filling your HH waste bin to the brim 😉 We are still fortunate enough to have weekly collections 😮💨 long may it last 🤞
Soontobeoap, hopefully you found the errant crayons & colouring pens for your GC 🤞Now I am wondering when they will be old enough to help you with the decluttering 🙊
florianatwobob, sounds like a wonderful day out with your sister 🥹
Florenceem, I will pop round later for some fresh local asparagus 🤭 😉 Pleased to hear that you have stocked up your freezer 😊 now you just need to remember to eat in between sessions of tackling your large RoD 🙏
Lovely to see you BlueJ94 👋 Great work with your reselling 👏 & good luck at the boot sales 🍀
suzeesu2000, yikes to “barnacles on me bum!” 😧 sounds very painful 😥 However, sounds like it was worth it 😊 Well done on reducing your email storage by 95% 👏 deserving of a medal 🏅 which is on its way 😊 Good luck selling DH’s T shirts 🍀
Excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏
TC77, pleased to hear that you are spending time with friends ☺️ rather than just locking yourself away decluttering 👏 Sounds like the key to the bureau needs a brightly coloured ribbon attached to it to make it easier to find when it goes awol 😉 Great news that the “like with like” decluttering method is working so well for you ☺️ At the rate you are going DD2 won’t recognise the house when she gets home 🥹
I am flagging now but have made a big dent in the cheerleading 😮💨 I will wish you all a great day whatever you are doing 😊 & will see you later 👋

Bestie collected me early along with all the bags that I had ready for the charity shop. We went straight to the shop. I helped her fill bags for the rag man - he collects every week - they don't get much money for it but at least it is something and stuff not wanted is removed.
Bestie was leading the service. I helped by getting the offering bowls and timbrels out and put in place.
Just having a cup of tea and a glazed doughnut followed by breaking into a Lind. Easter egg.
Overcast with a strong breeze here today.
I am going to change out of my uniform and do some ironing.

I kept a record and I have rid my email folders of approx 15,000 emails. That is a bit scary. It also will not be happening again.
Just purchased 2 very nice larger address books. I need an upstairs one and a downstairs one. Now, instead of being lazy and keeping contact details in email form I will be writting them in books on paper. Then I can also get rid of all the bits of stuff with contacts written on them.
I did save all of the emails from my other big brother to a folder. Reading them again actually made me feel quite sad. This brother has taken himself off to the Far East and has gone off grid so there is no contact. Families can sometimes be very sad. We were all so close as youngsters, such a shame how we are now.
Filed a ton of Family Tree info this morning, then received instructions on caring for hamsters as I am looking after friends house while they are away - I never had hamsters as a child - dogs, cats & budgies only as mum couldn't cope with rodents! Having fish & chips in air fryer today, being totally lazy. Dish washers been on so will empty that will dinner cooks and I'll put washing on so its ready for Monday. Then, I AM going to start repainting my lizards while listening to a good play on YT.
have a brilliant rest of the day chums - anyone heard anything of Jackie/London_1? She's been AWOL since March…..worrying…..xx

Sunday continued: We had a few spots of rain at 13:00 probably not even enough to fill an egg cup, very disappointing 😉 This afternoon, whilst knitting I have been watching Inspector Morse from the very first episode.vulpix, now that is what I call decluttering 👏 how fortuitous. I imagine that many of your new neighbours have been commenting at seeing the jungle being converted into an actual garden 🥲 You have been busy with all that painting 🤩 What on earth are you going to do once the upstairs decorating is done 🤔 Perhaps you might consider having a rest, or is that too much to ask for 😉
Dizzycap, another busy day & you got such a lot done 👏 So pleased to hear that Babyface had another good day ☺️
TC77, when you find clothes that fit it is always tempting to overbuy or should I say be sensible & get a stock in 😊 Good luck finishing off your bedroom & making a start on DD2’s room 🍀
vulpix, great advice about both decorating & decluttering 👏 I am definitely looking forward to seeing lots of photos of the garden renovation ☺️
Nice to see you back Deni_debt-free_dreamer 👋 So pleased to hear that you had such a wonderful time - a wedding & sunshine 🥹 More excellent digital decluttering 👏 a medal 🏅 is on its way.
Florenceem, a lovely way to spend Sunday morning 😊 Good luck with the ironing 🍀
suzeesu2000, ooh new address books ☺️ So much nicer to use a book rather than digital ☺️ Will send a wish into the universe that your off grid brother will get in touch at some point in the not too distant future 🥹 I am hoping that London_1 is just so busy that she hasn’t had time to post 🙏
All caught up 🙂 See you later 👋

Crayons were found just in time In the hamper basket that I have decided will become the Gcs craft box. As they have nearly all outgrown my toy box a craft box will hopefully fill a need when they come to stay .and it will also save me a trip to the range which middle granddaughter loves and save and a few pence too. Thank you for my star Mrs SD. They have been coming thick and fast. I am afraid I have lost count and don't think I have recorded them all on my signature.
No decluttering for me this weekend apart from a few bits of card and some stickers etc which the young ones made into cards and collages to take home.

Yesterday was a day where I didn't get out of bed and read all day. It really doesn't help with getting stuff decluttered around the house!
Today I watched my church service online, then got up and had breakfast and made a packed lunch before going down to the allotment. Spent about 5.5 hours down there (mainly weeding and also moving the brassica cage with the help of my plot neighbour). When the sun went in, it was chilly in the north breeze. The hand is virtually healed now, so I could wear gardening gloves.
I got a chicken pad thai takeaway on the way home as my feet hurt too much to stand to cook too. It was very yummy.
Must clear out the hall tomorrow for the installation of my fibre BB in the morning. Must also remember to set the alarm so I don't oversleep!!
Brilliant decluttering everyone. I love address books. Dad always used to write names with ink, and then addresses with pencil, to allow for tidy updating.

I did the ironing and 2 loads of washing.
Took apart a pair of curtains - fabric is cotton and will go in my stash.
I finished sewing up a pair of gloves. I have nearly finished one glove of a new yarn.
Ventured into the large ROD and looked in a box. It was all different bits so not an easy or quick sort.
I have to confess - I am a craft hoarder.
Bestie collected 7 bags for her charity shop on Friday and we took 5 bags today. It hasn't made a dent! My shopping trolley is full to take into town tomorrow. Rain is forecast for this area.
Decluttered - bauble boxes, packaging bags, sheet of Christmas greetings, sewing pattern, 8 magazines, set of scissors, sequins, drawing pins, curtain tape, fabric, dishcloth, label, colour chart, yarn, tub of glitters, packs of paper chains and a receipt.
