Finally got to painting the white unit. It’s had 2 coats so far, will decide in the morning if it needs another before sealing. And I have also managed to paint the top of one of the bedside drawer units, It’s only had one coat but already looks heaps better.
Blimming eBay seller sent the wrong thing which is a nuisance as I was hoping DH would do the drilling on lizard wall tomorrow grrr. Not the end of the world though.Dinner was freezer and fridge for both of us but I think someone is putting stuff in from the back as I don’t seem to have any space.
A quieter day on the whole apart from the 2 claps of thunder this afternoon. No rain or wind, just 2 claps of thunder. Very odd.Have a good night all, sweet dreams xx

Love the summer house.
Keep waking early and feeling exhausted by teatime. I shouldn't be so tired as I'm not working but doing quite a few things I think perhaps to avoid having to declutter or clean all day. History group this morning and tai chi tonight.
I took back some boots, bought earlier this year but not worn, wore for 10 minutes at home today and realised a fault with the sole. V rude manager in probably our best known retailer blamed their staff several times and then told me I had to ring head office to get the price when I bought them although I had the order and date etc in an email. Head Office said manager could have called and the manager was rude again when I went back and again blamed their staff. She then said they'd never been at the price the head office said as she looked it up on her till ( despite saying she couldn'tdo this) . I questioned why i'd needed to call the head office if she could look up the price and esp.as she then didn't believe the head office or me. Anyway got money back. Apologies for the moan!
3 toiletries out , one a hair oil kept leaking over the tray i try and keep make etc on and still leaked despitr putting the lid on carefully.
Item sole and packaged @Dizzycap i remember you having stacks of parcels.
I'm glad to sell the odd item as it gets rid of my hoard of packaging and then I feel i can also release more to cs. T
bedside tables to go to ca on sat as they'll get more for them than me.
10.small.pieces of wood out and wombled by someone I think meant to be drawer dividers for furniture I brought back from my dad's but I spent hours trying to slot them together, including dd1 and cousin's help and finally decided my dad and never finished sawing all the slots! Some papers out too.
Mrs SD , my hand has recovered well thank you but after doing all my ironing carried it past the kitchen and thought I'd put a pot of yogurt away at the same time. Dropped it , top came off the pot so had to clear fridge door, floor and luckily only 1 shirt to be rewashed and ironed 😀

Thursday is yet another wintry cold day with a forecast high of 12°C (feeling 4° colder due to a brisk N wind), low of 6°C & rain which started at 11:40 but only lasted 10 minutes. The recycling wheelie bins have been emptied (I did my neighbourly duty & put ndn’s bin out 😉) Starting raining again 12:50, another short shower. I have written a 4 day menu plan + shopping list. DH & DSis left 14:00 in bright sunshine. Put away shopping. Several more rain showers during the afternoon & evening. The 3 of us had the second half of yesterday’s takeaways. Wudupa.

Florenceem, pleased to hear that you had a pain free night. Fingers crossed the summerhouse is delivered on time 🤞 Good luck with emptying your large RoD 🍀
Yorkie1, I think custard with your cake sounds yummy 😋
Florenceem, a pity about the extra cost but your summer house looks superb 🤩 & I see that you have already started furnishing it 😊 I am now happily imagining you crafting in your summerhouse ☺️ More excellent decluttering 👏 Hope that young J has a lovely holiday in Crete 😊
Excellent work with the painting suzeesu2000 👏 I did have to laugh at the idea that “someone” is filling your freezer from the back 😂
TC77, no need to apologise. What appalling customer service & I imagine you won’t be doing any further business with them 😖 Eclectic decluttering 👏 Pleased to hear that your hand has recovered well ☺️ Phew, what a lucky break that only one shirt had to be rewashed 😮💨
Dizzycap, you little imp - teasing your postie 🙊 A busy day & you got a lot done 👏 Thank you for sharing more of Babyface’s antics 😊 Fingers crossed that young J has manage to get some sleep tonight 🤞
Sleep tight everyone 😴

Wow @BlueJ94 that's amazing. How do you do that? Have a photo open and just typed in - make this is to a lovely cosy room?
An old work notebook shredded and some other paper out. Sewing this am and meeting dd1 after work to help with hmrc who are confusing and also report on accident which is very inaccurate.
Hope to do more tidying/ decluttering later..emptied 2 drawers in dining room which have stuff which belongs in study or filing cabinet. Going to line them reducing supply of old wallpaper

Hi, very smart summer house Florenceem.
Have you heard of the Ice Saints? Traditionally reported cold snaps in Europe around this time, St Pancras feast day included. We are all nicely set up now for a heat wave next week!
I haven't posted because no decluttering has occurred other than usual household stuff.
The garden is coming on apace, despite them having a day off on Wednesday because the weather was so bad.The retaining wall along the side of the garden is coming on, so is the circle in the middle of the garden. The steps move is also in hand. J is moving between the 3 jobs as each ones concrete goes off. J the young son with the same name is hard at work mixing to keep up with his Dad.
We are off shortly to the bank for the wages. 3 day camel ride there and back.
I have a friend coming this afternoon. I hope to give her a golden privet plant I have found in the back garden for her North facing garden which she is trying to brighten up. This is the friend with the ancient Shetland ponies. Sadly the eldest 34 years, had to be put down last month. She has a new little girl on loan as a companion for her 26 year old.She came Wednesday. I will be interested to hear how they have got on. The old girl missed the other pony dreadfully, and was calling for him all the time.😥 I must say they cost a FORTUNE to keep in livery, that's without the farrier and vets! A huge act of love for 2 ponies who can't be ridden.
Better crack on Vx

@Florenceem what a beautiful summer house!
@BlueJ94 ooh - how inspiring. I absolutely love the wall colour that AI put on there. I have boring Magnolia on all my walls as I am too stingy to repaint from a new build as it isn't needed and would stress about picking the right colour. DH only likes magnolia 🙄 Maybe one day!
Still in maintenance mode this end and have been trying very very hard not to bring anything in at all. It means that apart from an improvement in finances, it's easier to be very frugal with using things up that I have to make them last as long as possible. I like the creative side of that thinking and it appeals to my environmental leanings. That's not to say everything is perfect… my desk is covered in papers I need to sort through, I have some bits from the kids I need to rehome and my food cupboards are slightly too full of things that have been there ages and need to be used up. I also have a cardigan to repair that's been sat on the side for weeks.. But in the main everything is presentable and no need for panic tidy ups before anyone comes round. Even if I do nothing all week, it is easily reset in under 30 mins.
I have to admit I did bring in an ice cream maker this week. Going to try it out this weekend and then there'll be no stopping me 😂
I managed to squeeze the remaining meat into the small kitchen freezer and the big chest freezer is currently being defrosted! Still loads in there to use up - you forget how long it takes to use things up. I did drop one of the boxes, so that's in the bin now 😬 At least if I see a bargain I can grab it knowing I can fill up the freezer again! I shall continue trying to use up all the oldest things though.
