Lovely summer house Florenceem. It will be so nice to enjoy sitting in once things warm up a bit.

Wintry is the exact right word Mrs SD! We haven’t put the heating on but if we sit still, we have to wrap ourselves in throws. I am currently wearing a poncho - in May!

I managed to fill the garden waste bin ready for collection, although you can’t tell by looking at the garden. I planted out the summer bulbs and potted the more tender ones in the greenhouse. My poor French beans haven’t germinated yet so I hope they don’t give up and rot in the cold. I need to start hardening things off outside but they would just blow away at the moment or go into shock. Lots of extra watering going on in the garden and pots to try and counter the drying of the wind. Luckily we have a few waterbutts.

Due to the cold yesterday I did filing, banking and paying bills. Also, unpicked the jeans hems and re sewed to make them even.
As always, you are doing lots of inspiring restoration, renovation, organising and decluttering. Hugs to all xx

Morning all.

Heating went on when I got up.

Went out wearing a hat and gloves. There was a woman on my bus in just a short sleeved tee shirt and trousers.

I took the trolley of donations to the charity shop - got more bags and gift aid labels.

So much is leaving the house but I feel overwhelmed with the amount I still have.

I wanted to take the friend who drove me back and forth to the hospital out for a meal. He has declined as said the gift vouchers that I gave him are enough. He was lovely in his message - said the world needs more P……s.

I have a glove to finish sewing up - will do that while I drink another cup of tea.

There was a huge amount of cardboard and paper out for the refuse men.

My Greenwich daughter is coming down tomorrow so will look at what I have done in the house.

@Florenceem I'm sure your daughter will be amazed at the difference, after all your decorating, new blinds & carpets, never mind all your decluttering x

I always try to look at how far I have come, not how far I have left to go.

So many people have made so much progress. There is always more to do but a little stop and look at the journey can sometimes put things back into perspective.

Willowtree222 - you are right. I take photos of the mess when I start a room so I can look back at where I have come from.

I have worked hard this afternoon - amazing what I have found up there - I just don't remember putting it all in that room. I think I put a lot of it up there when the physios were adapting the house for Mr F. I suppose as it was the messy room - more stuff went in there as I looked after him.

Finished my first pair of the smallest size - 4 - 7 years old.

Saw my lovely neighbour today and invited her in for a cuppa next week so gives me a focus!

Saw dd1 and we've moved a frog along although I've offered to type up notes for her.

TC77 - I am trying to get the large ROD ready for J to paint the ceiling on Tuesday.

I will pop out to the charity shop with my trolley of donations tomorrow morning. Daughter is getting here about 3 pm so I will have some time to work at the room.

I will be out all morning on Sunday and not back until about 2,30 as I am going with bestie to the SA charity shop. I like to have an easy afternoon on a Sunday but that won't happen this week.

I did a few more bags from the large ROD. I can see where I have taken stuff now.

Decluttered - dress, clothes covers, coat hangers, pack of pegs, jeans, trousers, jacket x 3, coat, crochet cotton x 2, corn plasters, cardboard box, cords, 3 baskets, labels, pen, shower jel x 2, carrier bags, deodorant, after shave, brads, coat, shirt, batteries, 2 blouses, punches, dies, candles, conkers, caddy of spiced tea, body wash, paperweight, wire binding, Nigerian man's costume, sewing pattern, 2 cds, shower creme, brad making kit, 3 paper crimpers, tube of ointment, embossing folders, cardboard cones, piece of chipboard, brown paper carrier bags.

@Yorkie1 I definitely suggest another cake once you have custard.

@florenceem a deadline is good, but amazed how much you clear out.

Off for an early night and a reminder to eat healthier as not been cooking much

Work notebook out earlier and now 5 lots of paper . I have half the dining table clear and its much smaller than my old one and sit with my laptop there so not bad - often several layers before you can see any of it.

Unsubscribed from a couple of things, and also found DD2's laptop so will see about getting it mended before she's back.

Mrs SD, forgot to say I followed your suggestion of a ribbon on the bureau key - it now has a very smart royal purple ribbon! Great idea.

Decluttered an audio book back to the library (not sure I'll count) but been had it on loan 2 months!

Thinking of bundling things together for sale perhaps. And trying to make myself do one last area, so cleared small sideboard - I did line the drawers and 75% of things moved to a better home but some things still there (count this as decluttering excess wallpaper). Also random length of rubber from desk drawer - clearly belongs to something but no ideas what so out.

Felt very cold today so hope everyone stays warm. Glad I kept some jumpers to hand.
