A fleece blanket never used and 3 DVDs for CS. Broken electric bug repeller in car to go for recycling.
Part 3 of 6 part frog nudged along.

oooh, forgot to mention. While looking through clothes in CS I came across a T-shirt I had donated. They were asking more for it than I paid for it brand new! I asked DFriend if it was just me or have CS prices jumped, she agreed they had too. They had some beautiful items but priced too high in MHO. xx

Mrs SD I also see a puppy in my future I'm hoping not for a while. My sister is quite active however since his radiation my BIL isn't too steady on his feet, he got a lot of side effects from his treatment last year which has aged him.
I got rid of the items I put on free cycle today so brought some more home to do tomorrow. Unfortunately driving home from visiting friend in care home I suddenly got a sore throat and realised a gland was up, I'm hoping it will be gone by morning 🤞 I have been drinking hot honey and lemon just in case.
I'm wondering what's the best to do with friends' silver plated cutlery set no longer in it's case and tarnished. There is quite a lot of it including serving spoons, carving set and steel. When I asked her she said she may need it in the next care home 🤨 she seemed surprised when I said I didn't want it as I didn't like it, too ornate for me it was her entertaining set! I'm determined that I'm not going to rehome her stuff here as I need to declutter my house without adding her belongings too.

@brambling we found a jewellery worker who was turning silver cutlery into other items. I would have a quick google to check it isn’t anything unusual and then see if they want it. I just searched for silver plated cutlery jewellery and then contacted them. Silver plate cutlery isn’t worth selling in my experience. Solid silver would be worth selling.

@Brambling I love the thought that your DF is hoping to entertain in her next home... 😊

Morning all. I have a single bud vase made from a silver spoon gifted to me a few years ago. I can't get at it to take a picture at the moment.
Work finished yesterday pm - ready to decorate now so I accepted the quote yesterday. Joiner repaired under bouncy floor. Joists stopped before wall and odd piece of wood had shrunk. New correct wood screwed in place correctly. Apparently all the woodwork is bizarre and roof appears to have been put on before supporting walls were built (Built in 1969) - this no doubt accounts for repairs I needed in roof when I first moved in. Extra £400 on quote to pay because of issues with floor and hall ceiling.
I need to get rid of a pile of rubbish but I can do that a bit at a time.
328 Builders decluttered and money will follow
329 Minutes of meeting done and uploaded
330 Lots of emails answered, filed, deleted etc
331 More gardening done with three or four buckets of weeds in recycling bin. I will endeavour to fill it up before collection on Friday.
332 One year savings account closed on anniversary today. £70 interest paid which is good.
Right need to go shopping with DS2.

GrannyKate - I have started a one year savings account - good interest rate - at the moment.
J was here - painted the hall ceiling again and removed the masking tape from the feature wall. He had a bit of touching up to do on a wall. Now nothing for him to do until next week.
Builder J has been to measure up for new skirting board. He wants the laminate underlay which is on the front paving slabs so that will go.
I am going to pack my trolley with stuff for the charity shop. I forgot to go to the blinds shop and pay the money for my bedroom blind so will do that while in town. Then I will get a bus to the shopping centre - I want to look in Home Sens. - they have some little tables that my friend showed me yesterday. Bestie videoed herself walking round in the shop.
Not warm here today.
I have taken photos and listed my industrial sewing machine on Freegle.

Brambling, difficult situations with the cutlery and the puppy! Giving the cutlery to an artist sounds like a fab idea.
Brie, was it your friend that was going to re purpose something into a mobile? I can't remember what it was but I remember thinking it was a good idea!
We live different lives to older generations, and younger generations different again. All those collections of things are completely redundant to young people. Now I have a bigger house and more space I am very aware that I don't need to fill it. I want homely but not cluttered.
I am loving the new bedroom furniture. It does need some renovation but I can do that at my leisure. Not got anything to put in it atm and that's just fine.
Poor Mr V is currently moving furniture about for me and I made him get something out of the loft and then put it back again.I need to give him some TLC and a rest. He does complain, a lot, but is very obliging.😍
I emptied the under bed drawers on the double bed and re packed like with like. I am looking for a piece of fabric that has disappeared into the ether.
Once the bedrooms are finished being decorated I can get on with some craft frogs. There will be no more decorating for a while as everything else is dependant on waiting for trades.
Off shortly to see someone about my knee. I will be glad when I am not so busy and to have some time at home. I feel like I need to do a stock check on stuff,
Vx

Tuesday is dull & overcast with a forecast high of 14°C (feeling 6° colder due to a SW wind) & a low of 9°C. Straight into the cheerleading:
vulpix, a busy Sunday in the garden 🤩 although it sounds like you did too much ‘wagging finger emoji’ Good luck with the liver scan, hope it goes OK & that you get the results quickly 🙏 No need to “hang your head in shame” 😉 after all, for every new item of furniture in you always declutter an older item 😊
Florenceem, that is special 🤩
Floss, I agree wholeheartedly that bestie’s Corps appreciate Florenceem far more than her local one 😊
Deb4, good luck with the job application 🍀
Florenceem, sounds like the Corps you are attending is perfect especially as they not only think but also let you know that you are both welcome & respected for your contribution 🥹 More excellent work by young J 👏 Pleased to hear that you are eating a bit more 😊 hopefully this means that you can put a stop to your weight loss 🙏 Fingers crossed that the Mother’s Day card arrives soon 🤞
suzeesu2000, had to laugh at This “..DH managed to change a ceiling lampshade for me, I did have to cuddle him REALLY tightly to ensure he didn’t topple over, don’t know about him, but I thoroughly enjoyed it 😋😋” 😂 A successful visit to CS & the Coop is one way to take the sting out of a dentist visit 😉 Lovely memories of Sir John Mills 🥹
Great decluttering oceanspirit 👏
suzeesu2000, seems to be the way of things now 😔 I think that some CS have forgotten that they are CS & are acting like ordinary shops 😞
Brambling, great decluttering of your friend’s items 👏 Well done on resisting any temptation to house your friend’s clutter 🥳
Green_hopeful, that sounds like a fabulous idea to turn old cutlery into jewellery 🤩
GrannyKate, really looking forward to seeing the bud vase 😊 Pleased to hear that the builders & joiners have finished their work 😊 Hopefully the decorating won’t take too long & you can have your home to yourself very soon 🙏 Excellent work in the garden & digital decluttering 👏
Florenceem, young J is certainly a really hard worker 😊 so pleased to hear that he is getting a little time off 😉 Good luck with both the furniture shopping & decluttering your industrial sewing machine 🍀
Lovely post vulpix ☺️ I do hope you are taking it easy &that you will let MrV have a rest as well 😉 Remember the TLC Carriage is open as well as all the other carriages 😌 Fingers crossed that you find the piece of fabric that appears to have gone AWOL 🤞& that you will soon be able to start crafting again ☺️Also sending positive vibes that something can be done about your knee 🙏
I will finish the hat I am currently knitting then will stir my stumps & do something useful ………. hopefully 😅 Hope everyone has as good a day as possible 😊
