Glad you're feeling better Mrs SD.
I've had a busy week, today is my last day at work for the week so trying to tie up all the loose ends.
In between meetings today I managed to clear all the kitchen counter tops, wash the dishes, do the recycling, do 3 loads of washings and hoover most of the house.
Back on the laptop now so will finish this up later.

Afternoon all,
Ive got two days off work well technically 4 in total and ive had a busy day today! I plan on decluttering the spare room a little bit more in a minute as im just sat doing nothing. I have a few items for vinted/ebay.
Ive been looking at my loan.. the apr isnt the greatest but im going to see if I can get a loan and swap it over to that loan instead if that makes sense? Mortgage is going to decrease from June saving £40 a month which is better than nothing.
I have no CCs at all in my name.. I have barclays that I need to phone to close my account as I cant do it on the app which is annoying. Its still showing on my credit report from January as 1k but hasn't updated so need to get that closed fully.

I am very happy with the new bedroom furniture. It looks well made. I managed to unpack the night table and attach the knobs - choice of two included - I went for the chrome ones. The tall chest was very heavy but I managed to unpack it and attach those knobs. The furniture was very well packaged so lots of large cardboard boxes and polystyrene out on the drive.
The vanity mirror which I was told wouldn't arrive until May was delivered by the men today.
J will come round tomorrow to sort out the drive and help me move the furniture for the guest room(aka old office)
I will need his help to unpack the large chest of drawers which I know where it is going to stand. The night table is in situ but I haven't decided where the tall chest will reside. I need to decide which wall the full length mirror is going too.
I popped to the rang. to get paint in case J doesn't have enough when he is prepping the new wood skirting board. I have a lot of light bulbs in the garage but not one that would fit my new bedside light so that was another purchase.
Both daughters phoned me on their way home from school.
Decluttered - sewing machine needles, bobbin case, pieces of fabric, boxes of pins, sewing machine feet, screwdriver, book x 2, reel of cotton.

Florenceem’s freecycler wanting to come and see the sewing machine reminded me of clearing my in laws’ house. We had a commode for my mother in law which we got from freecycle so we put it back on freecycle and a lady was very insistent that her dad wanted to come and view it before committing. I was surprised but agreed to leave it in the porch. Unsurprisingly it was just what he wanted and he took it. Not sure what they were expecting.

Glad to hear you're feeling better, Mrs SD.
That poem sounds very poignant, @suzeesu2000
Blimey @[Deleted User] - to manage all of that in between meetings is impressive!!
@BlueJ94 it might be worth checking you don't have an early repayment fee for the existing loan, when deciding whether a different loan would be overall cheaper.
@Mrs_Money_Penny what was your approach to getting rid of over 1000 emails in one go? Did you filter and just delete without reading? I find it difficult to resist the temptation to re-read, which slows me down and makes me feel overwhelmed by the scale of the challenge.
Glad you like the furniture, @Florenceem
I was pleased to get some clearance in the main rooms for my aunt and uncle's visit on Sunday. It's nice to be able to see the carpet and walk around without tripping over something. But the items are creeping back already. It just feels difficult to maintain.
I will go away in a week, and have a friend and his daughter coming to stay in the spare room for a few days while I'm away (and then a couple more when I'm back). That means that everything which I shoved into the spare room (and firmly closed the door!) for my aunt and uncle's visit needs to be sorted out. It's mainly paperwork to be filed - lots of dregs, or bank statements for the end of the tax year, etc. I find it so hard.

Probably inspecting it for cleanliness!!

@BlueJ94 your Barclays CC may be showing as available credit on your report.
Not much decluttering gone on this week, I'm at the end of a flare-up due to doing too much over the last couple of weeks 🙄. Back to see Rheumatology in just over 2 weeks so will see what they have to say...

Thursday is a bright sunny day with a forecast high of 10°C, low of 3°C & a light NNW wind. Pleased to report that the recycling wheelie bin was emptied this morning 🥳 I am definitely feeling a lot better today (the sunshine helps 😊) and thanks again for all the kind wishes. I wrote a shopping list as DH & DSis were going shopping at their usual time of about 14:00 Forgot to mention that DH had a haircut yesterday. Whilst putting the shopping away, I took the opportunity to reorganise & tidy the kitchen freezer. Two loads of LDFPA. The window cleaner turned up just before it started getting dark - good job he is quick 😉 Dinner was pork steaks, mash & green beans. Wudupa. Milkman knocked on the door just gone midnight so he has been paid.
