DSis and I had a clear out last weekend. We were due to take the stuff to charity this weekend but a collecting came through the door. Some bits we kept back as bric-à-brac but we’re now one large bag of stuff down and there’s room in the landing!

Busy day today - various school runs, then vets, then meeting. Tea at DS2s then home to fall asleep on settee grr. Wide awake now and its bedtime. Mr Sox was very well behaved at vets for his booster. A bit frightened by loud heavy traffic near vets - I must remember to park further from the main road next time. He weighs 5kg now compared to 4.5kg when I got him. He has had a lot of treats since he came back to make up for the indignity of it all.
I booked a daytrip to Buxton in July and have asked DS1 (who lives in Stockport) whether they may want to meet up. U3A trip only costs £10 - I've done several before and good value day out. I need to post some Easter cards with money to DGCs who are further afield.

Mrs SD - I am so glad that you are feeling better but echo @vulpix if it happens again to get checked out. I am inclined to think that odd breathing episodes are worthy of being mentioned to one's GP.
@Floss - I hope you can get help to be more comfortable.
@GrannyKate - I must think about planning some daytrips as I can find myself hiding away from all the extra tourists coming into the region now that the peak season is beginning. They are welcome and much needed, but I do struggle with how busy everywhere gets and the more pressured driving style that comes with them.
In order to remember what I have been up to I will need to list room by room. Garden - a general round of collecting and emptying old pots that accumulated from things that have died over the winter. Greenhouse - the same but also emptying and disposing of grow bags. All old compost onto the vegetable beds. Sheds - started on the big one as it is now ridiculously dangerous to try and move around. I knew that a bag of my coats had ended up in there. Found and washed them, donating what was still good. Two large items of sports equipment gone. Much more to go as we are no longer very sporty! Mr MV struggles with this, especially as some stuff is simply obsolete now. It will make a huge difference if he can let go.
Bedrooms - a good tidy up of ours, some clothes to CS and clothing bank. Study/spare room - a huge sort out of paper and receipts and an almost full sack of shredding. DCs' old rooms - Shuffled some remaining items into one wardrobe each to make more space for things I want to put away. Leftover new carpet bagged and put into the loft. Bathroom - a full clean, including the boxes we keep the toiletries in. Using things up well and only buying new when almost run out. Consciously working my way through the free samples as they need using quickly before they go off.
Utility room - Completely got rid of old cosmetic ingredients as they had degraded. Lots of cleaning out of bottles involved. Freed up a storage box for household cleaning products and another for cloths. Helped me make space for the large and necessary pile of dog towels. Kitchen - got the table clear again. Hallway - large pile of post gone through. Letters filed and leaflets, free magazines to recycling.
Sitting room - all change with the cushion covers and throws. Winter ones washed and stored in a wardrobe.
The sun is shining through the bedroom window, I have had my morning tea and should get moving. Hope you all have a good weekend xx

Morning all. Another night with no pain - seems the extra 10mg tablet works. I just have to put up with the sleepy feeling in the mornings.
In pjs - when I am dressed - I will measure the garden space for a summerhouse.
Bestie is picking me up at 8.45.
Poor J had told his mum that nan wants him at her house at 6.30am. I didn't think that he would be confused about the time.
The sewing machine is now not going to a new home today. The Freegler's partner is staying a few more days abroad so not here to help move it. I am going to see if it can be squeezed into the door end of the garage.

Something clicked yesterday @Mrs_Salad_Dodger as i cleaned the bathroom, did two loads of washing, changed the bedding and then pulled the oven apart and deep cleaned that! I even made sure there wasn't even a splash of water left in the sink last night too!
Now im awake im going to do a load of washing and chuck it on the washing line as thats no washing at all left to do!
We're off to town later to trade in some bits at CEX then local farm shop for eggs and milk and then a boot sale at 12! Im tired thinking about it all 😂😂

@moorviews the good thing with these organised trips is they are non profit and I could not cover the petrol and parking for the modest charge. You also don't have the driving and finding a space hassle. I've done a few - Whitby, Scarborough, Newark etc - I can occupy myself anywhere for a day. They also organise free parking at pick up points. We are off for brunch with friends as last part of DGS4's birthday celebrations then I will take him to his mums. DGCs don't need to sleep here again until after our holiday so I am going to pack his bedding etc in bedroom 2 and make up a bed for him again in bedroom 3 once the carpet is laid on 9th. He has been sleeping on mattresses under my bedroom window and got a rude awakening at 4am when Mr Sox jumped down off the windowsill onto his chest.
After I get back later I need to do some more frogs and try and tidy and clean. Decorator comes Tuesday. Bill received for building and joinery work so I need to pay that. DS2 got his scan appointment through for 7th which is good after weeks of hassle.
359 Odd bits added to CS bag which DS2 gave me to drop off for him. I also took a few bits out to keep

Thanks Floss. I think the paint is the second one you recommend. The room is South facing and as you look at the South wall it looks dark. The other walls with sun on them look lighter. It will do. When the furniture and stuff on the walls is back I won't notice.
It's not that I don't like the paint colours I have chosen, even the custard, they have all been not quite what I was expecting. Probably because of light.
Granny Kate, I could nip and say hello on your visit to Buxton if you like. I would recommend you have a look at the University of Derby Buxton restaurant on line. The food is made and served by catering students to the highest standards at very affordable prices. Set in a stunning building,The Devonshire dome. know Mrs SD will look it up. I started nursing here in 1975 when it was a rheumatology and rehabilitation hospital. Alternatively you can just walk in and see the stunning building.
Moorviews, I know what you mean about tourist season.
You are on fire blue J.
Today, I want to try and fit some blinds at the 3 bedroom windows. Cue angst and language.🤣

Morning all,
Finally Saturday! Having a day at home with the pooches. Luna cut her paw yesterday so having to bandage her up every time we leave the house and she can't get off the lead which is is NOT amused with. I let her off for a wee run this morning cos she met her pan and when I got home the bandage was bloody so on lead for the next few days.
I'm going to take her to the pet shop later and get her a nice chew to cheer her up. I need to go in there to get the wee balloon bandages I need anyway.
I'll potter about and try to get things tidied away aswell but right now I am on the couch watching some Fear the Walking Dead.
Happy weekend to all.
