Clocks gone forward so I will be out of step with all mealtimes and sleep this week. I am looking forward to the extra hour of light this evening though! What to do with it? It is distinctly chilly here, so I am not sure about evening outings and walks just yet 🥶
Mrs SD - thank you for my ⭐ I shall try to think of quiet places to go. It will be an interesting challenge!
GrannyKate- that is such great value and definitely nicer to be able to leave the car behind. Vulpix - I can imagine that you must also get a lot of visitors up there. A beautiful area!
@_Dolly_Rocker_ - I hope Luna’s paw heals quickly 🤞
@BlueJ94 - well done, you are on a roll!
It’s great to hear how lovely some of your homes are becoming with all the decorating and new furniture etc. Also fantastic decluttering going on generally 👏
I am on a mission with small piles of paper about the place, tracking them down and dispatching them without mercy😆 I also have two craft projects cluttering the study. It is horribly dusty in there. I really need to get them finished so that I can tackle it. Hopefully, in a week or two, I will have managed to get finished and dusted.

Just a quick question what app does anyone use to put there free stuff on, I used Freegle and Olio but I literally can't give things away

You can list items with nil value on gumtree. I am finding the same, trying to declutter before Easter vistors.

@Deb4 I use Gumtree and Freecycle around my area for giving away things. My kids use FB. Arts and craft stuff I offer to the local school/preschool/childminders.

We’ve got a really good ‘Reuse Project’ page locally on FB. Basically it’s a buy nothing page and works really well.

3 blinds fitted with minimal angst. That's 3 frogs eaten. The blinds have been propped up in the hall for months. The roman blind was the easiest, it didn't need cutting to size.
Whilst the drill is still out, I would like to move a mirror in the hall and put a picture up on the wall. I still have pictures and mirrors waiting for some inspiration of where to put them.
I have put some Easter decorations out. Game on for both cats to torment the remaining 3 fake carrots.
I cannot wait to get the upstairs back to some sort of order. I am tired of the single bed and trundle in the bathroom and other furniture on the landing. There are also decorating things in the landing window.
Found my student nurse name badge, threw it away. It won't mean anything to anyone when I am gone.
Forgot to say the x rays of my knees went well. She did them 4 times. She said because of severe arthritis she couldn't get a clear image.
Brambling, it's a lovely colour, not unlike the dark blue on the MSE page;perhaps a little darker.I will post a photo when the room is back together.
Deb4, we have a very busy buy nothing fb page locally. I also put things at the gate with a free sign. I also list on FB marketplace.
DD1 is running Sheffield half marathon right now. She is raising money for an Autism youth club.

This too! Always interesting what gets taken. I stick rosemary in a bucket outside my gate and that all gets taken too.

Succumbed to buying new black socks from M7S before going on holiday and realise they are a mistake. 5 pack for £10 but they are a really bad fit (inch too long for my fairly large feet) and obviously not the usual cotton mix I like. So I'll avoid using any more while I'm away and wash the one pair I've tried when I get home to see if they improve with a good soaking. Otherwise I'll be sending the job lot to the charity shop. Waste of money unless I decide to try complaining regarding the bad fit. Meanwhile on holiday I also succumbed to a bright orange pair of cashmere/wool socks which are divine. But also euro15 a pair. And I expect hard to wash properly. I might get more if I had the staff to deal with the hand washing they require.

@Deb4 freecycle works well here. I don’t like doing it a bit at a time but I have had great success with open garages. I list type of things, eg gardening stuff or bedding and set a date and time. I have done four big ones when clearing old houses. People come and just take what they want. I cleared most of a six bedroom house using the method a couple of years ago. I donate anything i think will sell to a charity shop but there are some things that they don’t want and its a shame to chuck. The last one they even took stuff i had put aside for the tip eg older duvets and pillows. I was worried i had lost my cup of coffee at one point but it hadn’t been taken.
I do smaller versions when i clear out a section for example kitchen stuff. I then list lots of items at the same time.
Through freecycle i have met people at a local church who rehome homeless people. They are always looking for items for people to set up home.
I also met an upcycler. He is good for projects I am never going to finish. He also has the time and patience to sort through things and sell them.
It’s much easier if people will come when they say and not mess around but I guess only about 10 percent are less easy.
