One coat listed on Vinted this lunchtime and sold this afternoon. I have to admire the tenacity of the buyer. They tried lowballing twice on the price (ballsy considering about 40 people had favourited the coat in 4 hours) then gave in and bought it at the price I’d listed it as. That’ll be off to the post office tomorrow.
Going forward I’m determined not to get sucked into lots of selling on Vinted (having done lots on eBay over the years) but if I have something I think I’d get a good price on I will list.✒️ Declutter 2026 🏅

Evening all. Not so warm today but lovely Sunday lunch (Lamb) at DS2s. I did get outside and did some gardening - it doesn't look much but one step at a time. Sorted through DGS4's clothes and DiL had done the same at theirs so bag full to go to CS.
315-324 Ten clothing items either in CS bag or some binned (underwear)
325 Various bushes cut back and some lavender pulled up which filled half my garden bin
326 Weeded more of the area where I put new fruit bushes last year.
327 A lot of stuff put away in cupboard so not spread round house

Evening.
Have finished the washable inco pads. Used part of the duvet cover to cut out two nightdresses for summer, still have a lot left. Have sewed the seam and hem on one already. I do the majority of my sewing by hand, even with arthritis, very therapeutic I find. Had “The Moving Finger” and “Then there were none” on YT while I was stitching.
Dinner for both was totally freezer for both of us today.
”New” cousin is wonderful: we have already managed to sort out who is who on a photo bar 3 people but I think she will know at least one of them. Also means I need to get my old photos out of the ottoman and find some more to share.
DH has removed another big gammon joint from freezer to cook tomorrow.
Decluttered and Cooked a bulk buy of swede this morning, mashed using ricer as I can’t mash, peppered and buttered. Divided into servings and frozen.
Posted another item on Vinted. Fingers crossed it picks up soon, been very slow.
Need to find some pie dishes that I can make a pie in and then wrap and freeze.
Been a bit chilly here today too, but dry at least.Have a good night all, sweet dreams xx

Trip down to the New Forest today so my sister local to me can pick up my BILs car, he is retiring from driving. They have lost the plot and got an eight week old puppy, it's so cute but he's 83 and she will be 80 in October.
I listed 3 of my friends' items on free cycle two should be picked up tomorrow and someone said they wanted the third but I'm still waiting for a message from them. They were snapped up let's hope some of her other stuff will be

It was the 1945 black and white one. Oh and it was a joy. I love the old black and whites, love Basil Rathbone as Sherlock, adore the radio plays of Lord Peter Wimsey and Paul Temple. Passport to Pimlico, The Titfield Thunderbolt, Murder at the Gallop, The Cruel Sea to name but a few. It will make me sound ancient but its so much better than anything made now. The actors enunciate properly, you can understand their speech so much clearer, the camera isn’t on the end of the actors nose, how I hate that: the actors face in way too much close up. A good start, middle and end. A proper story that you can follow without having to take notes. And no booming music! Maybe it’s because I am the youngest with much older siblings and parents that I am nostalgic. I sometimes think I was born in the wrong era. X

My cousin and I did another afternoon at my Dad’s and have now finished sorting the kitchen but it took us longer than planned, so we didn’t get much else done. There is still lots to do. 3 bags to the hospice shop, still gradually getting my Mum’s clothes, shoes and accessories out of the house but getting close to being finished. 1 bag to the charity that supports the Ukraine, I brought 3 bags home with me and 6 bags went in the bin, mainly out of date things from the kitchen.
My Dad’s new total is 95.5/104
I think I’d like to change my Dad’s total please Mrs SD as I’m nearly there and there is lots more to come. Could I change to 208 bags, I’m not sure if there is that much stuff or not but we’ll give it a go.
I’ve only managed to do little bits at home as I’m still feeling rubbish and my new blue badge whilst finally being approved and paid for, hasn’t arrived yet, so I’m having to do a mile walk every afternoon and some morning’s for DS2’s school run as the only space to park near the school is a blue badge one, so I have to walk from the car park and back. This means I’m using all my spoons for the school run and have nothing left over to do anything else. It’s also close enough to the end of term that the children are exhausted and everything takes much longer to do. So I’ve only managed to get 3 bags of books to the library.
My new total is 61.5/208
Love to everyone xxx
